Okay, this is really weird. After Italy capped ( the CW did fire for me, but I didn't get the usual event about keeping the puppet or not), I was only given an 80-point war score and no option to puppet all of Italy. I couldn't even take one ship! I just passed a few times, could take two ships, and exited the peace conference. At that point, I saw that I did have all of mainland Italy as a puppet, but still, only two ships. Sigh.
@@garyjohnson3252 Italy gets bugged in that way sometimes unfortunately, especially when they capitulate too fast. You should still be able to get their entire fleet if you peacefully annex them though.
@@MachiavellianStrategist Yeah, I thought the same thing. It's just a pain, and it seems very typical of Paradox when they release a new DLC or major update.

Just finished the historical run and was wondering whens the next vid gonna drop only to see this, as susual perfect timkng cant wait to test this out my next run
@@Dottheoriginal perfect! Hehe! And this one is a lot of fun! Although it can become a little unpredictable. If for some reason the UK does not turn fascist, I would probably recommend restarting or the run might become significantly different.
@MachiavellianStrategist mhm looks fun and cat wait to try it out, also just wondering, does your strat still work of I dknt choose goebbels, instead choosing borman first, then todt and lastly himmler? Love the resistance bonus he has, also wondering when you gonna do Austria and Hungary, or you're gonna do monarchist germnay next, but whatever it is take your time. Ya deserve a break after 2 consecutive videos
@@Dottheoriginal I am working on Hungary and it is killing me, the next video will be about Hungary as I have some very interesting tricks to share with you guys, but it will take a little longer for the full guide! As for picking Bormann, Todt and Himmler there will be some minor differences at some points but I am sure the overall strategy will still work perfectly! Actually let me know how it goes as I was considering not going Goebbels first myself.
@MachiavellianStrategist mhm can't wait for it; and for you question about the inner circle it's pretty much the same, except I get pp earlier since I picked bormann first; I can also industrialise faster but I can't hop to war economy due to not choosing goebbels; but himmler gives good upgrade to spies and also allows to give ss division templates, not the best but also provides extra push. Also unlocks a fee generals as well himmler himself as a field Marshall, and like before not the best but decent to have.
@@michaelcomo3530 keep in mind that you will need to start an entirely new run to change what they do. If you reload they always do the same thing. If they don't go fascist, some other major will flip, making the run even more chaotic. It's part of the fun of this run. But if you want it to look more like mine it would be better to have a fascist UK. (you just need then to get the blackshirts event, even if they don't turn fascist right away).
@@MachiavellianStrategist I've done this run twice and both times the UK has gone democratic and guarenteed Yugo, not complaining but it definetly is more challenging.
I haven't had the UK go fascist for me either. First time they went Communist, restarted, they went Democratic. I'll keep playing through and see how things go, but I'm not hopeful it will go well. I didn't get the ITA navy because I only got 80 pts war score and now I don't have the French navy. Sea Lion may be a bust.

I think in this case we don't need the extra range, as in Europe that is not super important and these early planes won't survive for long anyway, so we went for max stats. What we don't need to do, therefore, is wait for range improvements, but the timing is more or less the right one in terms of air experience anyway. We do need range improvements for later.
How did you get air XP? I had zero when I reached the part of the run where you build F1 and C1. I assigned my planes the same as you for the CW, but they didn't get any XP for some reason.
@@garyjohnson3252 in Ethiopia they don't always get a lot of xp, but they usually get some. In Spain they always get xp, try to split them around the various regions of Spain, looking for the contested ones. If it still doesn't work you can make them a little later after farming some xp in Spain, it's not a big issue.

@@garyjohnson3252 no actually wait I got confused. We don't send planes to Ethiopia in this run. The xp comes from using them in our own civil war (and later in Spain).
@@MachiavellianStrategist Ahh. Okay. Wierd, then, I didn't get any XP during the Civil War. I'm going to see if they get XP during the Spanish Civil War. I had them assigned exactly as you did during the GER Civil War. Hopefully, this isn't a bug that's crept into the latest version.
@garyjohnson3252 it shouldn't be, maybe the Germans did not assign theirs? Is it possible that you forgot to assign them the air superiority and CAS missions? Because CAS should get some xp even without enemy planes.
@@justinprichard1897 5 new runs from 0 right? Without reloading a save? Because that kind of choice seems to be part of the seed of the run when you sfart it. So usually even reloading just the initial setup reproduces the same run. If they were all new runs, you were very very unlucky hahah

If the UK is not going fascist by the time we get The People's Victory, and we want to be close to your run, that's when we'd need to restart, yes? In my current run, UK is 97% democratic and only 2% fascist, so I'm guessing they aren't going to turn fascist at this point?
@@garyjohnson3252 so when you turn communist as Germany some other major countries will flip to balance it. If it is the UK, they will get the event "blackshirts organize in the UK". If they get that even they will turn fascist at some point, either peacefully or through a civil war. So for my run you want the UK to get that even at some point in the early game. I don't know the exact timing, but it should be after you turn communist. You can make a save right after turning communist and speed up the game to 5 to see what happens with other majors and if you are OK with that. Then reload. This kind if thing should not change even when reloading the game.
@@garyjohnson3252 no there is an event during the civil war (to welcome back the comrades) they free him after a few days. I always had the event so I don't think it can be rng related.

No extra fuel tanks on C1 or F1? I just noticed you waited for range improvements to finish, but didn't use anything available.

I think Paradox changed the Send Volunteers to Spain requirement since your guide. It shows that I need 40% or more world tension in order to do so.

I have tried this five separate times and all 5 time uk went communist. Every. Single. Time.
