    Blown away by your skill level and quality of work, as a joiner of 30+ years breaking into metal work and fabrication later in life, this gives me much food for thought, I need more toys, I mean tools.... kudos my man!!

    Hey Bart, like they say, it's your welder and you can play with it as much as you want! It's your time and materials. Oh and your finishing work on your projects is becoming so impeccable I would be afraid to use it!

    My favorite build of a cheap bread roller so far. I love the depth guide, that's brilliant. The whole thing is very well done.

    About fully welding everything, I had a teacher in our "middle" school that was fond of telling us, "It's your little red wagon, you push or pull it as you see fit." to tell us that some things were just our decision and we had to decide for ourselves.
    I think that fits here too.

    Thanks for the great video. I was planning on beefing up my cheap bead roller and I plan on using many of your ideas. I mig weld mostly and am concerned about heat and warping the main plate. I have the same tig welder you have the V205T but have not done much tig and definitely need more practice. Really like the stand idea with the roller die storage. Very nice work, it is appreciated that you share this!

    • @bartharkemametalworks2299
      @bartharkemametalworks2299  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. And for welding MIG also works fine. Just clamp the main plate or use some welding/heat to straighten it.

    That was interesting to watch !
    The improvements are great.
    I have access to both a cheap bead roller And a quailty bead roller.
    Neither has a motor, but there are times I wish I had the ability to move the work with a foot controled motor freeing both hands for moving the part being worked on.
    Thank you for allowing us to view your ideas.

    If you're planning on doing long straight stripes the motor helps but speed makes for fast problems. The beauty is in the eye of the hand rolled product

    • @bartharkemametalworks2299
      @bartharkemametalworks2299  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I found that the 'pointer' works great for longer beads. Even with hand power. But very slow speed motor would work even better.

    Improve the end results ? Watched this start to finish and I'll say the end results are a more user friendly roller hands down. I'd think that tool will be a hand me down for many users, beautifully done Bart and many thumbs up !!

    What a great build! You did a wonderful job! What about adding a fence to the platform like a table saw. That way you would have a guide to keep the sheet metal straight as you run it through.

    • @bartharkemametalworks2299

      Yes I thought about that. But it's not to big of a problem. And I had to limit myself somewhere... ;-). The plan is to use this one for the next year or two, get to know the machine and what I like or want to change and then make a complete new design with that. Then there will be no more set screws ;-).

    What was that little trick you did to flatten that round plate at 8:50?

    • @bartharkemametalworks2299
      @bartharkemametalworks2299  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Weld will pull the material together. So if the plate is pulled round by the welds on top you can put the same (or a few more) weld on the bottom to pull it back. Then grind the welds of.

    The part I don’t understand is why you didn’t make the table use the same tubing as the bottom like a receiver hitch type idea to simplify the mounting and removal of the table when you need the extra space

    • @bartharkemametalworks2299
      @bartharkemametalworks2299  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, if that is the only part I see it as a compliment ;-). Btw. yes you could do that. But I also wanted to make the table adjustable in height for different rolls and depth of the bead.
