    I'm still a bot confused, could someone please explain (in layman's terms) what he means by Aim intensity and global bias? (I understood the shooting rhythm part though)

    • @hvllu
      @hvllu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +41

      aim intensity: the difficulty of placing your crosshair on the enemy
      global bias: moving in a certain direction over the course of a fight
      tldr: use movement with high aim intensity (tight a-d strafes, double jump, etc.) the moment they try to aim at you (shooting rhythm) while moving across the map (global bias) to take angles on the opponent that are outside their range of movement (locked angles)
      hope this helps! :D

  • @freeman5860

    To hit perfect shots, your mouse must travel through optimal flick angles. These angles aren't random; they exist in a complex lattice of quadrant-based headspace flick zones (QHFZ). By calibrating your wrist's torque to the precise critical velocity, you'll bypass traditional aiming and instead enter the Meta-Aim Continuum, where every flick aligns with enemy hitboxes on a subconscious level. If you're not harnessing G-Flick momentum, you’re essentially shooting in the dark.

    • @tampsin
      @tampsin 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +28

      In such a case where distortion occurs during play, consider the lattice angle’s relative transposition affected by the Moiré pattern. This is commonly overlooked in quantum-based headspace flick zones when calibrating wrist torque and can often leads to anomalous meta aim lattice velocity more commonly called a miss.

      1. Locked Angles
      Concept: When you're moving forward (holding the W key), your field of view (FOV) is locked to where you're looking. This means you can only see directly ahead of you, and the closer you are to an enemy, the less of their sides you can see.
      Example: If you're playing TF2 as a Scout or Soldier and running straight toward an enemy, your FOV limits how much of their movement you can track, especially their sides.
      (Imagine the green cone as your field of view; the closer you get to the enemy, the less of their movement you can see.)
      2. Matador Trick
      Concept: Spies can "Matador" dodge by faking a direction change, making it hard for players who hold W to keep track of them. The player will be locked into looking in the direction the Spy pretended to go, exposing themselves to a backstab.
      (The Spy fakes to the right, and the player tracks them that way, exposing their back for the real move.)
      3. AD Spamming and Hitscan
      Concept: AD spam (tapping A and D to strafe side-to-side) is hard to hit because it forces the enemy to keep adjusting their aim quickly. Hitscan weapons, which fire instantly when you click (like a pistol or rifle), require precise aim, so spamming A and D makes you unpredictable.
      Important Note: Good hitscan players aim for the center of your movement (the middle of the A-D spam) and try to predict when you’ll move back into their crosshair.
      (The player is constantly strafing left and right to make themselves harder to hit.)
      4. Global Bias
      Concept: Global bias means you’re subtly moving in a specific direction throughout the fight, forcing your opponent to adjust their aim. Even though you’re AD spamming, you're gradually moving left, right, forward, or backward.
      Example: While you're AD spamming, you're slowly circling around your enemy. This forces them to miss more often as they try to adjust to your overall movement direction.
      (The yellow arrow shows the global bias as the player moves around their enemy while dodging.)
      5. Shooting Rhythm
      Concept: You can learn your enemy’s shooting pattern (how long it takes for them to react, aim, and shoot). Once you know their rhythm, you can dodge their shots by timing your movement out of sync with their shooting.
      Example: If the enemy fires immediately when you cross their aim, you can fake moving in one direction and quickly switch.
      6. Practical Application
      Scout vs. Scout: The reason top players like "Ry" and "Yum Yum" are hard to hit is that they combine AD spamming with global bias and out-of-sync dodging. Their movement is unpredictable, making it difficult for opponents to aim precisely.
      In summary, the key to dodging hitscan weapons at a high level is to understand how your movement (like AD spam) affects your opponent's aim and to use techniques like global bias and rhythm reading to make yourself harder to hit.

    Standard tracking is for amateurs. As a Scout, you must visualize your enemy not as a linear entity but as part of a parabolic aim path. This is where Arc-Based Angular Precision (ABAP) comes into play. Your aim must adapt to the natural parabolas that govern all digital motion. Through Quantum Crosshair Shifts (QCS), you'll no longer aim at where your opponent is, but where their arc-inflection point will be.

    One method which I have found to increase aim resonance is to wire a DC power supply across ones brain (ear to ear) with the positive side on the right side or aiming side of your head. The formula that I have found that works for most people is V = ((elo)^2 - (hours)) * 100 / (BMI)^2 where V is the voltage of electricity you want to send directly into your brain while MGEing. Doing this yield an average 40% increase in DPM and a 200% increase in delusions of grandeur. It is also noted that this method does not work for elo values over 2500 as their is no brain activity to stimulate. Hope this helps.

    From what my big brain understood from this video, just spam a/d keys, evade the center of the other player screen when you are at close range and combine this with some ramdom movements to confuse the enemy. And if you can predict the other player shooting rythm then, you will be capable of dodging their bullets (with shotgun type weapons)

    i found the way you spoke about these concepts really interesting from a tf2 perspective specifically - i've been familiar with sam's "fundamentals of strafe" guide for quite a while and have also read a decent bit of the aimer7 doc he based his research off of, but you're the first person i've seen to specifically bring this up in the context of tf2 and dodging hitscan in this game
    like, sam's guide + his video on mechanics were really good but they all were made for a mostly apex-centric audience, and a lot of the concepts mostly rely on the fact that everyone has automatic firing guns in that game that emphasize tracking, which means you can't really abuse "shooting rhythm" since the gun fires continuously and you play way more to read and react to bullet tracers instead
    in scout's case, though, you bring up how you can actually play around the shot timing of your opponent and spiking aim intensity for your opponent by strafing in-between their shooting rhythm; i actually subconsciously started implementing that in my own gameplay when i mge, but you're the first person i've seen discuss this topic with clarity and it's so cool to see!
    i subbed, very interested to see more of your videos in the future and i also like your editing style a lot

    • @lieuty
      @lieuty 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      for tracking you abuse reaction rhythm, how often they react is how often you change movement

    • @zoosk2
      @zoosk2 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@lieuty that's a good point actually; i shouldn't have specifically outlined that you "cant" use rhythm as a method of intensifying aim.
      i was mostly just thinking about the fact that in a game like apex bullet tracers kind of do the job for you, since you can just look at the tracers and make movement changes based on that, whereas scout v scout are shotguns and there is no continuous stream of bullet tracers on your monitor to play around
      you're still right tho i agree

    0:48 Can you clarify what you mean by "Your view angle on the target is proportional to how close you are" in this part? Do you mean it in the sense that, when you move your view angle away from the target, your strafes will change angular direction and will lead you to move closer/further from the enemy?

    • @hvllu
      @hvllu  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@do0m_nametaken yes and also the other player will be either faster or slower depending on this. It’s why short fast strafes at a close distance are harder to hit but also force you to play near parallel with your opponent. While when you have distance, it’s much easier to rotate around terrain and use angles to make aiming easier.

    • @do0m_nametaken

      @@hvllu Do you mean depending on the distance or depending on the view angle?

    • @hvllu
      @hvllu  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@do0m_nametaken distance. Think of it like an fov cone, in order for a player to escape your view they have to leave this cone. The farther they are, the more distance they have to take to escape it. If you are trying to dodge a player directly in front of you who is spamming a/d, you would run around them in a circle so that you can escape the edge of their view, and then quickly a/d spam when their aim reaches you. If you do it correctly, they will be forced to flick ahead of their strafe and they won’t be able to rely on simply keeping their mouse still and waiting for you to run through their crosshair. Because of the rhythm of how players press “a” and “d” along with the scattergun shooting pattern, in practice, you would slowly dodge while circling the opponent in addition to changing directions based on where they are aiming. It’s a lot to consider when written but a lot easier to understand when you see it visually. Hope this helps!!!

    • @do0m_nametaken
      @do0m_nametaken 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@hvllu It really does help! Can I ask another question: Regarding the explanation at 0:48, if it is an example of locked angles, which is restricting which (referring to movement and aim) and what does it mean for the player?

    • @do0m_nametaken
      @do0m_nametaken 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      How I interpret this is that when you change your view angle on the target, the angle and direction of your strafes will also change, ALONG WITH the distance between you and the horizontal line that the target moves around when you strafe.
      Say that you aim around 60 degrees away from the target, and you strafe-aim towards the target. The target will be closer to you, meaning that the aforementioned line got closer to you when you changed your view angle.

    So how would I counter this kind of movement, where you're relying on the timing of my shots to strafe away from damage? You mentioned cormi shoots faster the closer he gets I think, and I understand why. You want to be the first to get the quick 2 shot. If I were to mix up my timing for my shots though, you would end up killing me first for delaying my shots. So what am I supposed to do?
    Also, do you think we could do a round of scout mge and you could tell me what I'm doing wrong? I feel like I've been stuck at the same level of scout dm for a while. I used to be so much better than my friends, but they've all caught up to me by now

    • @hvllu
      @hvllu  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      you can win dmg exchanges even when you are mixing up your shooting pattern, however that relies on you yourself being able to dodge the other player's shots.
      I have a lot on my plate already with teaching my friends, but generally players plateau when either their mechanics stop improving or when they stop learning new concepts. For most players, no amount of new knowledge will make up for already poor mechanics. So I usually recommend them to both play jump maps as well as use kovaaks for aim training as even the "right" play can be faulty if you don't have the mechanics to execute it. Hope this helps! :D

    this is a true concept but rive and yumyum basically dont do this at all so i dont think using them as a figurepoint is valid, I also think you shouldve mentioned how your movement should change when you are fighting multiple players as global biasing is only applicable in 1v1 scenarios, and actually becomes less applicable in real games than it is in MGE due to the randomness of 1v1 duueling in an actual game

    • @hvllu
      @hvllu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can understand you not understanding how yumyum does it, but rive? He literally taught me how to move like him xD
      Global biasing is not specific to 1v1'ing either. The literal definition is that you slowly move towards a direction while dodging
      if you are fighting a player but slowly moving towards teammates/ positioning, you are using a global bias (woah both applicable to 6s!?!?!)
      hope this helps :D

      @@hvllu Rive might know how to abuse it but he doesnt to the extent you emphasize it to. ive spoken to yumyum mulltiple times about scout vs scout and he says he literally wings the movement and just focuses on killing the other person as fast as possible (how u actually play the game)
      Idk what rive told you but if global biasing was effective in all scenarios in and out of mge he wouldnt have been stuck going 200dpm losing to low adv players for 2 years. Great player but you cant stick mge concepts onto everything and expect it to work.
      I dont mean to say global biasing doesnt exist in game, but that the extra factors of 12v12, 9v9, or 6v6 all smother it out of being applicable most of the time. It is almost solely consistent in 1v1, equal hp scenarios. If you want to strafe left because the scout is aiming right (or prefers to) it will work in your favor in a 1v1. and if his soldier is aiming left? you jsut die? Or theres a sticky there? or your team is asking for you to get out? or maybe hes being beamed and fully committing to a long duel is bad for you? the factors added to ingame fights make global biasing way less "real." It still exists everywhere, but the mental gymnastics you portray in this video are practically mge only. Knowing a players sens, knowing which way a player subconsciously prefers to strafe, knowing what angles they are worse at aiming at, etc. Are all things you cannot deduce without fighting someone multiple times under similar conditions in a short timeframe. (which only happens in mge.)

    • @hvllu
      @hvllu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@airchampion4658 it takes me around 2 lives to deduce how someone plays not sure about u. I obviously know that there are other factors but do you really think people want a 2 hour video where I go over every single possible matchup and situation. The point of this video isn’t to explain obvious shit like not going for 1v1s when a soldier can bomb you or if your team needs you somewhere, it’s literally just explaining how to dodge hitscan. Judging from the general response from both the random people and the invite players who commented, I think I did pretty good. Tho do go ahead and make a video about optimal 12v12 scout gameplay if you feel that’s what’s missing from this video. Much love

      @@hvllu its a good video about hitscan movement and i feel that most people brush off movement against hitscan too much, so good on you for that. Im not sure why you're taking so much offense to video feedback.
      It does not take you only 2 lives to deduce accurately how someone plays. Maybe against newcomer level players and 1800s sure, but even in mge where every life is basically the same conditions, smart players will change how they play somewhat throughout a game, especially if they are losing.
      In an actual game its more complicated since there are varying conditions, a player might push you 2 duels in a row cause hes 185 and you're 125 or less, does that mean he just likes to push? No it doesnt. A player might strafe left 2 duels in a row because theres sightlines or chokes they are avoiding walking in to, etc.
      My comment was not meant to be offensive or derogatory to the video, learning players will often tunnel vision on advanced concepts like this and try to apply them to everything they do, and then they hit roadblocks and simply think they cant be as good as they want to be.
      If you cannot handle constructive criticism, do not post a public youtube video.😍+REP
