@@tylerhilton3150 i struggled a lot, but kinda got the timing. My mistake was charging too fast. You need to hold a little bit longer for game to count it. Anyway, doesn't help me in pve at all, ai will pv you if you charge a millisecond longer

Seeing how many people struggled with the charge step, i think it is a VERY good addition. Also the whole update seems like a big w, i'm a bit skeptical about the arts upragades, but so far they don't seem too unfair and too hard to grind either.

@@dazz89stevo yeah, i feel you. I'm a day 1 (i was in the beta, day -1?) player and i only bothered to to learn it about half a year ago, but once you get it will really feel rewarding. Practice in pve, like zenkai content etc. It is the one of the git gud part of the game😅
One thing I would have like the mode to at least mention more often is to not overrely on timing specific counterattacks. A lot of times what newer players tend to do is when they have a counter green or rush, they tend to just sit back and stare at the opponent from long/mid range waiting for the oppurtunity to use them for a massive counterattack which can enforce bad habits and allow the opponent to easily hoop over those tactics and rush the player down. The timing rush tutorial mentions this somewhat, but this was never brought up in the counters section which I believe needs to be emphasize as more experienced players can bait out the counterattack with tackles, arts cancels, float step etc. Even just throwing in some text as simple as "try to mix up your counter and rush timings so the opponent can't predict your counterattacks" can be a useful tidbit to encourage more active playstyles.
This is good reception for beginner players. I expectantly to see them do more for us players in future that provide more insight for the gameplay standpoint in pvp, especially for new players. Thanks for teaching us in class goresh with trunks. 😁 haha

7:11 Ok everyone i’ve figured it out! I was stressing out like a mofo over this, did it over 100 times then i realised! KEEP YOUR FINGER DOWN AFTER YOU SWIPE! The combo has to be PERFECT and so there can be NO GAP between the slide and the charge. It takes some trying but it is doable!

Dude, I've been trying the charge step since these Trunks tutorials released. Cannot get it. I even did the timing you showed and half the time I get the little symbol on touch like it's charging ki, but Shallot doesn't charge his ki. It's infuriating.
I told my friends to download dragon ball legends but they all said the tutorial took forever so they deleted it. Can’t wait to tell them they added another tutorial

Update: I finally got it. Best way I can explain it is to not wait until Shallot reaches Trunks. As soon as you swipe up, clamp down to charge ki (practice holding down just long enough to get ~7 ki in this scenario). Then use blast arts. Warning, you can't tap on two places at once. So if you're like me, you'll spam tap the blast arts as soon as you're ending the charge step. This is only practical if you want to get this tutorial out of the way. If you're truly learning from this, disregard what I've said and godspeed soldier.

the switching characters mid combo (with ultimate )is so hard i succeeded doing it once but thats no matter how hard i try it again it may be a bug cause from my point of view im doing the same thing as the exemple/ you : blast / switch po the main and thats it ... may be im not fast enough i cant pop the ultimate while gohan is mid airedit : i just did i had to do it with both characters nvm

All you do is at the very start dash back al the way blast attack once dash forward doesn’t matter the distance and use another blast attack and your good

The Charge Step is such BS cause I do it correctly so many times but it doesn’t count ever
you can also press switch during blast still dash and not worry about a late swap

Start charging just after swiping up. And then just practice having the timing for when to stop and you'll get it.
