I’d recommend investing it into Shallot to begin with; because he always has a chance to randomly become meta-relevant and everyone has him. When he gets SSB, you’ll be glad you did.
I know it’s probably not ‘optimal’, but I immediately pumped Shallot to 99 Strike and 99 Super, just cuz I love him as a custom character and enjoy using him.
Really appreciate the effort you've been putting in to videos like these. Although Im a day 1, they have been very thorough for newer players while still digestible or insightful for older players
I think you should spread out your statboost instead giving 1 unit all. For example give a melee type the strike boost and the range type the blast boost. And when you have enough you can do the rest of the stats.

The one thing I feel is not being highlighted enough is that stat increase from stars contributes to your base stats. Almost every equipment boost and zenkai boost applies to the base stats. These arts boost stats contribute to your bonus stats so don't get all the extra buffs. Meaning 3 stars , 11k worth of base stats will have a much bigger impact than the 13k from arts boost.
@@dracoblizzard7944 If you have a 14 star unit, you will notice that the blue highlighted boost section increases with each extra grade. This means the points are added to the boost part of the stats, so they are not part of the base stats.
Those blue stats are also boosted by pure percent boosts, they are counted as base stats. I tested it by turning off titles and the small drop in stats was the same difference as a one star increase I did by using z power.
still don't understand why this mechanic has to exist.. they made it rare so that not everyone has every character completely boosted because if they did so it'll be just soul boosting with extra added steps and honestly that would be just dumb. remember the days when you needed to be at a specific level cap(300,600,1000,1500) to be able to soul boost your character. it'll would've been similar to that just making things complex for no reason. so, they have to make these resources rare which gives birth to another problem not everyone can manage to get the same amount of resources. I initially thought this system was implemented to 1)make the defensive sides of units more relevant by giving extra stats because for how long can devs keep bumping the sustained damage cut, we are already at 65%-70% 2) to narrow the wide gap that is caused due to how much starred up a unit is, you can't expect a 6 star version of a unit to compete with the 14 star version of the same unit, and this gives the pay to play players a heavy edge. so this system made me think that maybe this update is to balance out the playing field a bit. On the contrary it is doing the opposite. it is pretty much established that the game is ruled by the ultra units. these already so busted and now you give them the extra 13k stats that's just dumb. In my case i don't have a relevant ultra unit as of yet so i am saving these resources for any future unit that i get in 5th anni. meanwhile I'm not investing these resources in any of my units but when i fight someone who let's say has completely boosted his ultra rose or ultra kid buu the gap between him and me has increased instead of decreasing. now you may say that i should just invest them on the units I'm currently using if i want to compete that much. the thing is that even if i do that the gap between the unit prior to the boost system remains the same like try to understand it this way( let's say i have 2 numbers 40 and 50 now the difference between them is 10, now if i add 5 to both these numbers make them 45 and 55 the gap is still 10.) what I'm to say is that the gap between 2 non- boosted characters and 2 boosted characters remains pretty much the same. like Goresh mentioned these boost are equivalent to 3 stars(depending on specific stars) and it just widens the gap or keeps it the same instead of decreasing it or balancing out things a bit. hard hitting character will just hit as hard if not more harder. So what is the purpose of this system? to make game more unbalanced. i understand that 13k to attack stats and 13k to defence stats mean totally different things and in long run the units will do much better defensively but what about the time in between reaching that point. these resources are rare and worst thing is these boost are RNG dependent. now surely they might add these resources in other exchange shops and raid exchange shops but that would mean that you have grind more as if we were not grinding enough in raids just get the CC and LF multi z power wouldn't it be better to just manually buff the defence stats of all the units instead of doing this painful process if that was the intention. right now the pvp season has just reset and these ultra units are so strong that even without the boost they just crush everything(cause you are not fighting the most optimum team setups and most skilled players) so we don't know how significant these buffs actually are as of yet but one thing is for sure the players who don't have the best ultra units and high star units will face the effects in high pvp. Now let's talk about a new player who has just started playing legends. how much time would it take him to actually be able to compete in "free to play" way in top 10k pvp . to get viable character, soul boost them, get proper bench and now arts boost them. the game does not have the best PVE actually it is really bad. so why would a new player will actually play this game if he can't play pvp and pve sucks also the part where you need new units(or a good amount of old units which are at high stars or zenkaid) to clear most of the events with all the rewards. also what should he spent his resources on? cc? cores? erasers? energy? or other items? or should he just grind hours and hours on this new game he thought would be fun but feels like a job One purpose of this system could be to actually keep players invested. Remember the old days when level caps used to get increased and there was a goal to get your characters to max level. This arts boost system will keep the players invested even on times when there is no new events or units. Nowdays when we don't get anything new on a reset people usually say it's a dead week and game is so boring as there is nothing to do as a veteran player. So this update might help to keep us invested in those dead weeks as well as we have a goal that is to boost every character to max. This is a good thing but does it really have to come at the cost of balance of this game. maybe people are not talking about this because this system just came 2 days ago and everyone is trying to find out how does it work as it is confusing. and not talking about it's purpose. legends has to do something about it because to me this system is doing more negative things than compared to it's positive impacts.

I actually will be boosting my regen team first for Top mode. Since they wont fall off after 3 month 🤣 so my regen can deal more dmg and gain more point in top.
After seeing how much I could upgrade my kid buu with almost all the resources I currently had and i only got my strikes up to lvl 13 lmaooo. The amount of time and grinding it’s gonna take to upgrade even just 1 character to max is gonna take at least like a month or 2 which is insane. Basicaly its like a mini zenkai for stats boost, i managed to upgrade my beast gohan to 99/26/99 and had my strike attack to 271k+ , blast 263k+ and both defence at 285k+

This game is really starting to suffer from mechanics bloat. Getting Z items is ridiculously dumb, and now this. At least Z power and soul boosting makes sense and is relatively straight forward
I think having heavy strikes replace rising rush would have been amazing. Think about replacing the rising rush with a gauge that builds up as you use/land cards and when it was full you could press it like a rising rush and empower the next arts attack you used with a heavy strike. That would have been a cool way to get garbage rush out and replace it with something fun and balanced.
Anyone know how much more damage bonus the heavy and super heavy attack do? Like what is the multiplication of that? Because it took me quite a while to find that a crit is 25% bonus and I'd love to know how much + What are the % of getting the heavy and super heavy at different levels of the art boost
Keep note that those 13k status increase count as "boost" stats, therefore, they do NOT get multiplied by base Z abilities and equips while character STARS boost their base stats. So the art boost are less relevant than it appears and cannot be equivalent to starts Great video anyways, just correcting this info.
Plus the ultra characters are now ruling the game because they always get boosted and other characters cannot defend against them cuse they don't have them

You can also get seed medals through the daily missions, only 3, so by daily, you can get 8 per day, weekends might increase how much you get

Basically a resource/reroll type mechanic to upgrade your 14* to a 16* 17* + stat wise. Its like if blue stars were added without needing to summon.

Play the newly released Tutorial with Trunks. That's the best way to play the game in terms of Gameplay. Then do/continue with the story
