All I said was “ nice crayons”. Good luck with the sieve Mate , it looks like it will do a job for you. Keep us updated on the Tempest as your media matures 👍
😂 you do make me laugh 😂 so because of that I'll let the bad hair day go👍 Very neat job with the sieve buddy, hope it serves it's purpose. Can't go wrong if it does the job for a fraction of the cost. That was one thing that annoyed me when I had the eazypod on my old pond, similarly to that what you mentioned with having to boil the media in the tempest multiple times to get it clean-ish. Not only did I have to blast it with the air boil, but it's not uncommon to have to have a bloody agitating stick of some kind to also stir the media whilst it was boiling 😱 Top work man👍
Considering the high quality and highly detailed plans 😅 you had on the whiteboard the sieve looks like it's going to do a pretty good job. Will be interesting to see how it does as the algae and muck builds up in it. Cheers.
I’ve had a tempest for just over a year now and have had no problems at all with it. I clean it every 2-3 days with 1 boil. You need to cover it to stop sunlight getting to it otherwise it will be pea green in a couple of weeks 👍🏼
Completely agree with you on the tempest, the brackets are a complete waste of time. You need to do a clean weekly that way you only need a couple if boils, I have connected an air pump to mine which allows a proper boil but make sure you leave the return valve open.
Nice one mate, you have a Koi that looks like Stan Laurel !🤔 When do you plan on cleaning the Tempest, once a week or fortnight, not go one yet and just wondered what the regime is? Have a great weekend matey.❤
That's a nice DIY sieve and you'd be surprised how long that wood will last ! Not everyone can afford a plastic welder and all the bits that go with it !
I’ll only go plastic once the wood shows signs of failing - when I took that old one out the timber was still sound after 4 years 😳 Thanks for the cracking comments 👍🏼😊
Cracking job bud that will work a treat 👍 also I don't know if you've seen any of my latest videos but I have an ultra sieve 3 for sale at the moment it has 2 inlets and one return if interested 👍
Hi buddy yes as the media matures it will boil better 💯🧁and it will take a ikkle longer at the temps we are at but other than the price I think it's a bloody good piece of kit if used as a polisher all I can say is be patient with it as it does get better 💯🧁👍👍👍 Ps The DIY sieve looks ace's 🧁👍👍👍
Hey up my man - thanks for the comments. Good to hear that it’ll improve. Like you say, once you get over the initial cost for what it is you can’t fault them - effective and easy to maintain 👍🏼
Just subbed in, I was forced into it from the gaffa Bizley 😂. Congratulations on hitting your target 👏

I have been waiting for you to do this I will try have a go once I have finished my new build I’m going to move my fish and then make a start.
If I can do these things -- anyone can. Here if you have any questions or need help 👍🏼👍🏼
Well done, it works that's the main thing, pond looking great 👍
Hay mark - thanks for the great comment. Hope your having a good weekend 😊👍🏼
@@edenkoipond THANKS, BEEN BUILDING A ROOF OVER HEAT PUMP.
Heat pump 100% has to be on the list of bits this year. Caught flukes earlier - thankfully early and only a few but still a pain 🤦🏼♂️
Nice sieve... If you raise the drain you may be able to fill the back of the sieve with bio-balls plus an air-stone to get a 2 for 1

Gloves?
???
Your hands! Gloves, use gloves :D . Great stuff! Love the work you have done.
Did you get to making a box with your plastic welder? Or is a rigid, high quality box still desired?
Hiya buddy. The boxes I use for my diy showers are called WHAM boxes. They are recycled plastic and strong 💪🏼 👍🏼
@@edenkoipond I was asking if you'd solved the problem, I get decent plastic boxes at work, was going to offer them.
@@Dan-ru2pz sorry - my bad 🤦🏼♂️ I ended up buying a pre-made shower in the end. Thank you for the kind offer though 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Don't let the water flow over it push it true by making a x.

Deffo weekly! Leaving it 2 weeks (forgetting I brought it 🤦🏼♂️) is too much. Is it the one with the moustache?

Buy a hat 🤣
I can’t - I’ve got the wrong shaped face - a brown bags probably more appropriate 😂
