Hyundai has created another polarizing design, which I happen to love.
I do not need a big trunk and a hatch, or extra headroom,
and I like the lower seating position, the stiffer suspension and the better efficiency, so I prefer the 6 over the 5.
It’s certainly a cool car full of personality

Another trick next time you are in an Ioniq 6, if you are in Regen mode 0 through 3, you can bring the car to a stop using full regen by holding the left paddle shifter. This will NOT change the regen level, just stop it like you are in level 4 (one pedal driving).
I should mention:
I'm a bit taller and I wanted a Limited, but the sunroof drops the headroom down by 1.9 inches and my hair touched the roof, so I was forced to get the SEL- still love it but the SEL and I assume SE stereo speakers are horrid. I wish they made the Limited with a panoramic roof. If you are buying a car because it is one of the smoothest and quietest, why would you want a sunroof that opens anyway? I doubt panoramic roof would cost 1.9 inches of headroom. By the way, I upgrade my SEL 4 speakers (combined these speakers weighed under 2 Lbs- junk) with JL Audio and the sound is 10x better- speaker were about $500 for all 4. I am surprised the turn signal cameras that show in the main display are only available on the Limited- a great safety feature that I lost out on because I am too tall.

my friend said that the sound of the cicada's in "lively forest" mode made her think her ioniq was failing. the car is apparently fine, it's just cicada's, but i thought everyone should be warned.

not with the Ioniq 6 lol but yes - we have a special relationship with RA. they let us use thier Motorplex to test stuff a lot
I hate center windshield switches when they are near a cupholder. In 2 years they will be sticking open or closed.

HAHAHA Yep! Wait for the new 2024 Tesla 3 and get that for 20k less
@@EVEmastanot even close to that much difference; Hyundai lowered prices recently. I'm about to pull the trigger on a fully spec'd out limited for around 43,500; only thing it doesn't have is AWD system and motors which adds another 3500.
There are a lot of different dealer incentives right now and also Hyundai has incredibly low financing rates from 1 to 2% for buyers with good credit, which I qualify for. The cost of the loan is about $6,000 cheaper compared to the Tesla at 6.5 percent with good credit.

Can i make a list of the worst feature: The curves are all wrong , the front end looks terrible but the back end is the worst looking thing I have ever seen; no weel arches like the original model; and the weels oh my God they are terrible and try and wash these nicks and cranny.

This was a local event so no money from Hyundai in any capacity. I didn’t put anything in pro or con columns due to the short time I had with the car. They’re sending me the car in a couple weeks where I’ll have a full week to form my thoughts more
