    Hahaha. TIM; by code, you can’t put drain INTO floor drain. Air gap must be maintained to prevent contamination from flooding drain

      Yes, how do you figure out the length of each pipe and fixture? Can you recommend a tutorial on that part?

    In any state I Work the code changed you cannot connect the drains together if you have one of the sinks being a clean sink, its a cross connection that is illegal in any restaurant. and the air gap is 2-1/2 times the diameter of the discharge pipe.

    Tim they make a t and a insert / key for those drains. But you seem old school and use channelocks lol

    5:03 Great job! Only question is how did the dishwasher pull out the grills and filters out of the drain after you placed it so far down into the pit? Did you have to go back and cut it out to let the drains out or are they split grills? Those guys have to pull out the grills and drain filters to clean them at least every few days. Did they just figure they should clean it while it's hanging off the drain pipes?
    Regardless of my questioning, your work is at least 10 times better than the set up we have at my jobsite...

    It's supposed to be indirect waste which mean ur discharge line should have an air gap at the top plate not Recessed inside the Floor Drain

      That center downpipe drops right into an open Drain. It is just covered to keep stuff from getting in there.

    • @dbenterprise3oh2
      @dbenterprise3oh2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes but it should still be air gapped. Just did a Starbucks in Delaware. Air gap is code.

    • @paigewagner4857

      100% Indirect waste always has to have a 1" air gap no matter where your at

    • @gabeking2996
      @gabeking2996 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are right it has to have a 2" air gap it's international plumbing cod so it's like that everywhere kinda seems more like a handyman and not a plumber !

  • @madcowusa4277
    @madcowusa4277 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just a novice interested in plumbing, I thought code doesn't allow sanitary tees on their back like the two outermost sinks? I'm guessing the sinks themselves act as a vent and the pipe into the drain grate is air gapped. Anyway, saw a triple sink setup today with one additional sink draining in from each side of it (5 sinks total) - all done with sanitees like this so I guess this the norm. And all 5 sinks were plumbed in 1.5" ABS which can't possibly be big enough.

    • @michelejann5732
      @michelejann5732 ปีที่แล้ว

      So the 1.5" ABS isn't enough what would be

    I'm curious as to whether you used the correct cement for the transition from pvc to abs?

    • @rojohe
      @rojohe 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That double sanitary tee fitting is not ABS, it's PVC Schedule 80 (which is also available in PVC Schedule 40.)

  • @steventaing1544
    @steventaing1544 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    That is not code it has to drain individually and have to be 1 inch above the in ground drain to avoid cross contamination.

  • @scopeside

    Hey boss can you help me with something. Is there any codes for these or where you need 3 individual drains 1 per bay and are you allowed to put sani’s on their back ?
