So glad to find this video, as I hadnt ever thought to use a brush for application. Ive been applying tanning mousse using gloved hands for YEARS, but this is a better way to go!
I don't have acne but i get occasional breakouts and usually greasy things like self tanner makes me break out but but I have applied this self tanner on my face MULTIPLE times I even did it last night and I haven't gotten one breakout from it. Maybe it depends on the person but if you have both dry and oily skin like mine, this product is the perfect balance and it doesn't make me break out. I always put a little lotion on my face for that barrier so it doesn't make me break out
BABY POWDER! Immediately after applying the tanning mousse, sprinkle baby powder all over and gently dust it on with a fan brush. This will lock in the tan and keep it streak and sweat free until developed. Makes my tan look even smoother and perfect every time.
Glowbyb never even thought of dry shampoo, i will have to try that. I finally tried the brush btw and I cannot believe how amazing it applied the tanner. Most helpful video on self tanning Thank you so much!
Love this video. I tried it and all my coworkers were complimenting me on my tan. Lol. I went with it and said, “thanks” lmao. I did apply it to my face and I did not break out. LOVE the product. I am stocking up for the winter.
Never in a bazillion years would I have imagined I'd be intentionally tanning, but here I am. They say it's essential to make my muscles "pop". So I'll be doing this in about 8 weeks. Glad i found this video because i was not feeling the process of applying with my hands.
I tried this last night and it is so perfect for pale skin!!! It got much darker by the morning definitely exfoliate your hands and ankles really good..I didn’t do it enough and some tanner did settle into the cracks.
I use the same thing and I mix it with some of my facial moisturizer and use my brush and brush it on. Gives me just enough glow so I dont look so pale.
I was looking up good drugstore self tanners and found your video. I've got to get this tanner and the brush! Great tutorial and totally subscribing to your channel now!
I used to have a hard time applying tanner to my back until I bought a couple of good lotion back applicators on amazon. One has a long handle and the other one is a long strip of micro fiber cloth with rope like handles on each end. Both of those apply lotions and mousse products evenly on your back and are reusable. Highly suggest investing in one and I think I paid $6 for it.
The brush is such a great idea!!! I was just going to film a video like this but thought shoot I don't have tanning gloves! Lol. So the brush was a big bonus for me, thanks!
I use St. Tropez for my face and it doesn't break me out. But I'm looking for a different, cheaper tanner to use on my body so I'm definitely gonna try this one!
Ive never seen anyone use a brush such a great idea. I hate using my hand. If using your hand you have to wash them off and takes the color off the top. Awesome idea
This was really helpful! This may be a dumb question, but when you reapply, do you re-exfoliate? Have you ever tried to reapply sooner than 4-5 days? Thank you!
I was told that if you use a brush to apply self tanner that it should be a very dense brush this way it won’t leave any streaks. I have watched so many of these videos and the girl at Ulta even told me that the best application is to use a really good plush mitt, and use a dense brush for the feet and hand application. I personally do my entire body with my mitt and then whatever is left over on the mitt I lightly go over my hands and feet. I feel that it just looks to fake when applying directly to the hands with a full pump. Thank you for this review. I have been looking for a good drugstore self tanner. I am sick and tired of paying $40 for the same size bottle. Have you ever tried the b. Tan brand?
Omg your amazing thank you!! I hate tanning beds they make my skin so dry.. been needing some great sunless tanning advice. You just have the best advice lol.. u look stunning!!
Ive never used self tanner before and am curious, in the days between reapplying do you exfoliate every day in the shower like normal? I usually use a loofa everyday to wash my body.
I think I want to try this. I'm so pale and when I did get a little tan, I liked it. I think I'd rather apply it with the makeup brush rather than the mit. Do you if tattoos would still be bright?
Your so pretty! And this is really useful I’ve never thought of doing my whole body with a brush. I used to use a brush on my hands and feet. Do you have any tips for going to bed while tanning? Like so it doesn’t transfer onto the sheets?
I am very pale and tried this . I used two coats of it and it made me look orange. I think if I would have only done one coat it would have looked better.
You are so pretty! Your face is so smooth! New sub girl. Trying this tanner. I need something that doesn't have a huge scent any recommendations would be great!
Have you ever tried the Loving Tan? I just ordered that....havent gotten it yet, but I feel like I want to pick this up now after watching youre vid! The loving Tan is SUPER hyped up on TH-cam ....hope I like that too, but good to have alternatives......I am trying to get away from the tanning beds a bit more :)
Maddy J hi ! i wanted to use the jeregns tan tomorrow and i was wondering if i should put it on my face ? i also have like sensitive not very dry skin and idk do you have any tips ??
I don't know how to solve the problem that deodorant wont work if I put it anywhere near my underarms (mine doesn't turn green, just wont work anymore), so I'm walking around with white underarms. Know of a solution?
Also, personally I don't like to apply it to my brush, I feel like it's easier to get a darker spot since the first thing you touch will have the most products? I do one pump on my upper arm, one on my for arm, one for each upper- breast area, and put 1 pump ON the brush for my face. Also, I think they remade the product because mine in 2018 is WAAAAAY darker than yours was?
I used your method confidently at nighttime, and when I got up in the morning to wash it off I started to notice streaks. I didnt think that would be possible with using a circular motion, but it happened.... I used this to create a base layer tan before I go on vacation in 4 days so hopefully it will wear down a bit and be less noticeable by then. Do you have any other tips? I made sure to exfoliate my whole body before applying, applied it to freshly cleaned skin but not apply to wet skin, and I did not apply a moisturizer after the tanner. I did apply jergens natural glow daily moisturizer after my shower in the morning and hopefully it will help even out some uneven areas.
+Stephanie Webb hi love! I'm so sorry that happened!!! Sometimes that can happen when sleeping on a tan, but it could also just be the product. Taking hot showers or soaking in a hot bath will help the color come off faster. I'm sorry love.
Stephanie Webb I've had that happen to me so many times before! it's from sleeping on the tan. luckily, I don't care enough about how I look for it to bother me. but it is a sucky predicament
Okay so this is probably a really dumb question but I’ve used this before and had terrible experience. ( I also used my hand and I never used a self tanner before) but I have a lot of decent sized brushes like the one u used do u think I could just use one of them instead of buying another brush?
You look like Sandra Bullock and Demi lavato mixed together!
OH MY GOD I CAN SEE IT

BABY POWDER!

blueskies2287 Yes! Or dry shampoo does the same! You just have to be careful so it doesn’t cake up! ❤️❤️
Awesome tip! Thank you!! 😁
Glowbyb never even thought of dry shampoo, i will have to try that.

I use this self tanner and love it! I like the brush you used . I used a tanning mit . Thank you for the video.

The new Tanner is the best on HSN. It's called Tan Luxe. They have it for the face itself and then 1 for the body. It great!!
Great idea to use the brush!! Getting both products today and doing this.
+Kaci Glenn yay! Let me know how it goes. 💗
+Glowbyb Got all of it and worked so well! No brown palms 😜
Thank you for doing this I just purchased the jergens and the brush plus the face Tanner and did the routine...
Thank you so much, I don't do tanning beds but having been looking for a sunless tanner and technique that won't streak
Brilliant. I can’t find my tanning mitt so I’m going to try your technique.
This was really helpful! This may be a dumb question, but when you reapply, do you re-exfoliate? Have you ever tried to reapply sooner than 4-5 days? Thank you!
You're so pretty! Love your bed and pillows, so cute. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for this video! Lately I've been obsessed looking for a self tanner . Thank you !!! 💕
I use tanning towelettes on my face, no break outs. Towelettes give you more control.
I was told that if you use a brush to apply self tanner that it should be a very dense brush this way it won’t leave any streaks. I love this stuff! I do put it on my face and so far so good :) I also use a mitten to rub it in evenly!
Just did this ! Worked so much better with a brush then my hands !!
Love the brush idea!
The Jergen's natural glow lotion does not break my face out :) Now they have a lotion for the face specifically too (Haven't tried it though)
Bondi sand tanning says after doing the body, then put the remainder on the face but don't use more, just use what's left on the mitt
alyy j so does that work ??
I think I want to try this. I'm so pale and when I did get a little tan, I liked it. I think I'd rather apply it with the makeup brush rather than the mit. Do you if tattoos would still be bright?
thank you for this. I have melanoma in my family and using these tips I don't feel like I need to suntan outside much.
Ive used a lot of tanners you can put on ur face 😂 there quite a few of them. This looks beautiful btw ❤

Your so pretty! And this is really useful I’ve never thought of doing my whole body with a brush. I used to use a brush on my hands and feet. Do you have any tips for going to bed while tanning? Like so it doesn’t transfer onto the sheets?

how do you remove the self tanner ?
Do you use sun screen after applying it?

Can you use the brush with a cream tanner?
If you don’t put it on your face then what do you use?
