My cousin was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma 3 weeks ago it's a scary thing. Hers is all internal so she didn't know until all of a sudden her speech & brain weren't functioning correctly & they found 7 brain tumors & it is throughout her entire body & she only tanned in a bed for a couple of years but it was more than enough. Its terrifying
why apologize? we, pale girls, like to be tanned, cause tanned skin looks more flawless. tanned body looks healthier and more attractive. and as long as it doesn't damage your health you should do whatever you like!

A1977ification Especially as we get older, a spray tan covers up varicose veins and stretch marks, etc. I am also as white as “paper”, so a fake tan looks so luxurious. People who have nice tanned skin don’t realize how fortunate they are.

I havent used self tanner in forever. just tried bondi sands last fall and absolutely loved it. and yes, priced compared to all the other popular ones, cant beat it! I actually like it better than the st tropez 🤔
I've used the Faux Tan face by bareminerals and i absolutely love it ! I self-tan with loving tan's (2h express or ultra dark bronzing mouse) product too and i don't put it on my face because i have dry skin and dry patches and i'm scared that it will stick to it and look crazy. I use the Faux tan face and it match perfectly with my tan. I don't look orange and it doesn't look fake. Normally, I'll exfoliate, wait for 30 min, and apply it with my hands like a lotion. You get an instant bronzed look but I prefer to apply it at night, let it develops during night, wash my face the next morning and apply moisturizer. If my body's really tan, i will apply another layer the same day. It will last about 3-4 days before it starts to fade on me. Hope it helps xx

I hate how people are so judgmental/against self tanner. I have fair skin but I freckle in the sun and I love it. I embrace my natural color all year long except in the summer I do like to look tan. I live at the beach and I love to lay out and freckle a bit but if I lay out to long I burn easily. I would rather look tan with the use of fake tanner than achieve a tan through constantly exposing my vulnerable skin to harmful UV Rays. People should really just chill. Even if a person can get tan in the sun, they can use fake tanning products to avoid getting skin cancer. It's a thing. People use it. Get over it. (:

I'm super pale naturally too, but I love to fake tan in the summer. Pale skin is gorgeous, but I just like to change it up. I do the same thing with my hair, nails, makeup and clothes. Why not my skin? It's good to have a variety to keep things fresh. At least for me. :)
beccs5050 Because it truly damaged my skin. I would tan all the time in the sun when I was a teenager. And when I was graduating highschool and my first year of college or so I went to the tanning salon all the time. And I see skin damage from that. It also damaged/lightened some of my tattoos.

Good for you - you are totally right - it's far safer to self-tan than to lie in the sun or go to a tanning bed. Not only will it help prevent cancer, but your skin will look nicer longer. I'm 44 and fair - I didn't listen when I was younger when people said to wear sunscreen and avoid sun exposure, and now I have spots on my face and arms that will never go away. (Of course, self-tanners have improved greatly in the last 20 years!)

I have used the Faux Tan for Body and the Faux Tan for Face for about 3 years now. I love them. They don't cause any reaction. They have a unique fragrance. I have dry, sensitive skin. I put it on with their body brush and it works great. It lasts about a week on my body but I exfoliate my face at night with Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion (no alcohol) so it won't stay. So I use it every other day on my face. I really like the glow it gives me. Try it! I love your videos and tutorials. Keep them coming!

Oh man, this blew my mind! I thought since I was fair skinned that I couldn't use dark tanners. I also had no idea mousse self tanners existed. I am stoked. I am going to order some of this stuff asap.
One more thing!!! I haven't tried the Tarte Maracuja *bronzing* oil, but on a daily basis (for about ten months now) I do use the regular formulation of the Maracuja oil and it's saved my life! Haha, really though, it's amazing! It's 100% Maracuja oil, I've basically replaced my face moisturizer with it and it's superb. It doesn't break me out, and it's actually cleared up the blemishes on my chin and evened out my skin tone. I'm really wanting to try the bronzing one and can't believe I just signed up for Boxycharm- thanks to you actually. My favourite facial tanner is the Clarins Radiance Booster, it's a serum that you mix with your moisturizer so you can use your regular skincare. I am super sensitive and I LOVE it, it's so natural and beautiful!

OMGGGG. I always self tan and this winter/spring I noticed that I have been SOOOO sticky after tanning myself, like uncomfortably sticky to the point where I couldn't sleep and I have been avoiding/dreading tanning! And the second you said its because you lotion the entire body instead of key points, and I realized I never used to lotion my whole body and thats why. Good for you - you are totally right - it's far safer to self-tan than to lie in the sun or go to a tanning bed. Not only will it help prevent cancer, but your skin will look nicer longer. I'm 44 and fair - I didn't listen when I was younger when people said to wear sunscreen and avoid sun exposure, and now I have spots on my face and arms that will never go away. (Of course, self-tanners have improved greatly in the last 20 years!)
I can't believe anyone would get offended by self tanning!?! 😲 To me it's no different than makeup... nothing permanent but something that makes some people feel happy. I really think some people just need something to gripe about 😤

I have used the Faux Tan for Body and the Faux Tan for Face for about 3 years now. I love them. They don't cause any reaction. They have a unique fragrance. I have dry, sensitive skin. I put it on with their body brush and it works great. It lasts about a week on my body but I exfoliate my face at night with Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion (no alcohol) so it won't stay. So I use it every other day on my face. I really like the glow it gives me. Try it! I love your videos and tutorials. Keep them coming!

One more thing!!! I haven't tried the Tarte Maracuja *bronzing* oil, but on a daily basis (for about ten months now) I do use the regular formulation of the Maracuja oil and it's saved my life! Haha, really though, it's amazing! It's 100% Maracuja oil, I've basically replaced my face moisturizer with it and it's superb. It doesn't break me out, and it's actually cleared up the blemishes on my chin and evened out my skin tone. I'm really wanting to try the bronzing one and can't believe I just signed up for Boxycharm- thanks to you actually. You gave me the extra push I needed to sign up, bc I watched a ton of your unboxing videos.

My favourite facial tanner is the Clarins Radiance Booster, it's a serum that you mix with your moisturizer so you can use your regular skincare. I am super sensitive and I LOVE it, it's so natural and beautiful!

Perfect timing for this video! Thank you so much for making it because I had totally given up on self tanners due to my bad experiences. I love your honesty and it helps immensely to know ahead of time which products are better before actually doing it (that was my one of many mistakes lol ) . I trust your true judgment. By the way, I tried the Tarte Maracuya Serum from my Boxy Charm and it does work, no breakouts for me but the self tanning smell is there for a short while. Thanks again!

Every youtuber I've seen that uses Loving Tan looks super blotchy! I bought Loving Tan when I first heard of it and it was so horrible on me. Splotchy and fades horribly. I couldn't get it off, and I refused to go in public because it was so bad!

Never done it, but someone told me to use a hair band to tie the tanning glove to a spatula for your back! Hope that helps :)

OMGGGG. I always self tan and this winter/spring I noticed that I have been SOOOO sticky after tanning myself, like uncomfortably sticky to the point where I couldn't sleep and I have been avoiding/dreading tanning! And the second you said its because you lotion the entire body instead of key points, and I realized I never used to lotion my whole body and thats why. Ahh! haha so happy you mentioned that.!
