Thank you!! Finally a video of someone SHOWING is, instead of just talking. Great video. And showing your stomach for a comparison in color was helpful!
I finally gave myself the best tan I have ever had all thanks to you! I had always showered and shaved before hand, but would sometimes skip exfoliating and I never moisturized. Thank you so much!
I bought St. Tropez once about two years ago and as much as I loved the undertone and application of the product I can't justify the price for regular use, even if just in the summer.
I don’t use any mittens because they absorb lot of the lotion. I just clean my palms right after no problem. Also i skip putting lotion because my self tanner has moisturizer in it and actually i don’t have to use any moisturizer after the application my skin stays moist. The moisturizer will dilute the self tanner.
What the heck? You make this look so easy, haha! I am a pasty gal and haven't used self tanner in YEARS. But if I ever do, I am using this video as a reference for sure!
Katie I'm sure your skin is absolutely gorgeous & I know you don't even need self tanner! For some reason I've just always been obsessed with having dark skin 😅 I wish I could just rock my pale skin! And thank you so much! I think because I do it so often that I just have my system down 😆💗
I like spraying the tanner into a little lotion, mixing them and rubbing it in. It comes out soo even and nice. I use “fake bake” brand and it’s liquid and gets a nice brown and not orange but I like the one you’re using because of the texture! I think that texture would help a LOT for it being even
I absolutely love these tips Courtney! Thank you so much for sharing! I bet mixing it with lotion would make it so much more even. I've actually never tried Fake Bake, but it's definitely on my list now that you say it's good. 💗
Ok now i know where I messed up. Im definitely going to exfoliate first and use regular moisturizer because like you said dry skin can cause you to get some darker spots❤ thanks
Thank you for this easy to follow self-tan guide! I love the makeup brush hack-brilliant! I haven’t self tanned in over a year, but about to go on vacation to Mexico & don’t wanna be pasty! After this horrible winter in ND (-0 temps & tons of snow/ice still occurring going into April!☀️👙🏝️
Does the color sweat off? Can you leave the developer on for more than 3 hours? If I leave it on for a full day would it make me green? Do you shower before applying it too?
Thank you for teaching with showing and getting to the point! This is a great video for learning the process/routine. I, personally, feel it’s a lot of work for a subtle result. Does the color continue to deepen over time at all?
Thanks for this very helpful video. You look amazing. Must not be doing it right on myself. I have dark patches and tan lines. I'm going to try it your way and see if it works. I like to use jergens, light/medium natural glow lotion, or jergens light intant bronze. I truly hope it works.
I am new to the self tanning process. I have done two spray tans at the spa and they just don't seem to work out, first time I came out super blotchy after the first rinse and second time I came out green after the rinse ! I'm trying to prepare for my wedding next month and I cannot be blotchy or green! I am trying self tan but I don't know how to reach my upper back - any tips on that? Also how to you get it out of your pores without washing the rest of the tan off? I have tiny black spots all over back of upper arms and upper thighs too!
This might be a dumb question but do you just rinse off the tanner after the timer goes off or use soap and water? I just bought this product and only left it on for an hour and then showered with soap and water and felt like I still looked the same color 😂 I’m going to try leaving it on longer but wanted to see if the shower was also the problem? Thanks for the helpful video!
Aww thank you so much Mackenzie 🥰 for some reason I just feel so much prettier with a tan, but I do think I should work harder on accepting my natural skin tone. Thanks for the kind words ❤️
Aveeno is a good brand. But I recently switched to Vaseline lotion (it has Vaseline in it) because of my psoriasis, and it has no scent, which is good for psoriasis. I have feet/hand psoriasis, and it's not fun. I also hate shaving, I shave like once a year.
Oh my goodness feet/hand psoriasis sounds awful 🙁 I'm so sorry! I'm glad to hear that the Vaseline works well for you though! Ha, I don't like shaving either- I do it because I feel like I have to, but I definitely don't enjoy it either! 💜
So does anyone else have problems with self tanner and stretch marks? 😣 When I have used self tanner (only 2-3 times) it has no effect on my stretch marks, they stay lightened. I really don’t like the way it looks because it creates even more contrast and emphasizes them further. Am I doing something wrong during my application? Or is there no way to avoid this. If anyone knows why this happens or how to fix it, I would appreciate knowing. I have not found anything on this so far 😓🙏🙏🙏🙏
That's my question also, are we supposed to just rinse off or do we use body wash? Can we use a wash cloth/loofah or would that be too aggressive and take the tan off? I need answers or else I know this is gonna go downhill for me 😅 I've looked up a few things, and mostly I've read that we're not supposed to use any soap/body wash for the first shower, only hands and lukewarm water. Also when drying off, just pat your skin dry, don't rub or scrub. If you see streaks or uneven patterns, go ahead and repeat that same process. It also recommended waiting at least 8 hours for an actual shower. Hope that helps! 😊
No don't do that after do it before. Also don't do as she did and use the same brush on her face as she did her feet. Have a brush for the body and one for the face only.
Don't use the brush u used on ur feet on ur face. U should definitely have a face only brush. People have foot fungus that u don't want to spread on ur face. People are dumb and if u don't tell them specifically not to use same brush they don't think anything about it. U know, kinda like u didn't think anything about it. Just please start telling people that have any foot & skin trouble or fungus to be cautious and research further about their problem and if they should or should not self tan. Also for EVERYONE to use a face only brush including yourself.
She showered before she put it on, like you're supposed to. Outside of having medical conditions, I'm pretty sure it would be fine to use something you used over the top of a CLEAN foot on your clean face
I'm search a dark tan lotion for my face...all tan's i used are f...'n Orange..much years i have the moroccan tan lotion from xen tan..but the lotion is lost😭..i have pale skin ..what is the best lotion for face?
Oh my gosh I used to watch her when I made videos a long long time ago (I actually won a sunglasses giveaway from her channel in 2010 😅) but I didn't realize she still made videos! Definitely going to binge watch them now! Thanks so much for letting me know, & I'm glad to hear that we do some of the same things ❤️❤️❤️
As you now know after binge watching she is married!!!! If you have any questions about things that come up ,that don't make sense, just ask me!! I;d be happy to help! She combined her vlog channel with reg channel too!
Best video yet! I just really hope you're using different brushes on your feet and your face....feet are DISGUSTING. You don't need that bacteria on your face.
I always have an issue with the inside of my elbows. By the time I’m done my entire body, that area is coming off from having to keep my arm bent for my entire body application. Any tips?
@@lamofonguera7807 I used baby powder. I've used a loose powder translucent before too. Behind knees and in front of elbows. That way it doesn't sweat off while waiting for color to develop
What's your favorite self tanner? PS I definitely need something in the background, but I can't decide if it should be a bookcase or chair with lamp. What do you all think?
Yes! Good question Hannah. So I thought the L’Oréal Sublime bronze & the Jergens natural glow made me look really orange. The L’Oréal always came out streaky on me too. I also didn’t care for the Bondi Sands tanning oil because it just didn’t give me enough color. I just purchased Loving Tan & I’m planning on trying it this weekend, but I’m still on the hunt for the perfect affordable self tanner 💗
Some people like I do question and want steps when it comes to something like this so it doesn’t look splotchy. Why not you post a video over this since you think you can do so much better 🙄😒
Please apply tan on your body this channel dosn,t feels you are applying tan ? So please you also apply tan properly like bodybuildier. Please that tips you should make video that is you show realy tan tips.

Used this method last night for my 1st time ever using tanning mousse and it turned out really well! Thanks!

Ok so i had read before NOT to use lotion before but obviously it works. Any particular kind of lotion and juat a light covering right?
She slayed this video, so quick and to the point 👌
Does the color sweat off? Can you leave the developer on for more than 3 hours? If I leave it on for a full day would it make me green? Do you shower before applying it too?
I feel like now is the best time to test this. Maybe not for me rn cause I have volleyball everyday. But like. Some impulsive decisions are good ones
These tips were so helpful. Loved how it turned out.
Thank you Katherine!!! 🥰
I use the latex gloves powder free 😊 The mitt uses alot more product...

1 hour - light tan

3 hours - dark tan

Great tips and can’t wait to try this method!!!
Very helpful, especially the tip
about the brush
So after you apply self tanner when you shower should you wash yourself with soap or a loofah? Or just water and your hands?
Great video & product recomendation worth trying ...
Took the hair out at then end lol 😂 yess I love this 🥰🥹 tan came out cute and glowy . This also helps with stretch marks !
When you wash it off do you use soap?
I wish I would have done this first, looks Nice on you, I'll try this!

Self Tanner application on wounds and scars?

mine still shine through too. i’ve learned to embrace it after many years and months of hating them
Stretch marks are beautiful and they make you, well - you! Embrace them :)
U may not see this but I seen that someone uses a pumas stone and vitamin E oil over stretch marks to make them fade. Might work.
Are you supposed to use soap when you rinse it off? I did and now I don’t look tan. ☹️

Also what self tanner is this called that you used in the video?
You put it on for 3 hours then do it again for another 3 hours after an hour and a half after your first shower?

How do you avoid the eyes!?
How do you do this with kids. And what do you do for the 3 hours
Can somebody use it and cover stretch marks
Do you watch LeighannSays? She does her self tanning very similar!!

What are the best self tanners for your face if you struggle with acne?
Ecotan Face Tan Water! It’s a game changer!!
So helpful thank you!!
What glove is that?
Best video yet! I just really hope you're using different brushes on your feet and your face....feet are DISGUSTING. You don't need that bacteria on your face.
When you shower after the three hours is it okay to use the loofah again?
No. A loofah is exfoliating so it will not leave you with a nice finish. I always just use regular soap to rinse off.
I enjoyed watching your videos 💕
Thank you so much!!! 💗
I always have an issue with the inside of my elbows. By the time I’m done my entire body, that area is coming off from having to keep my arm bent for my entire body application. Any tips?

What's your favorite self tanner?
PS I definitely need something in the background, but I can't decide if it should be a bookcase or chair with lamp. What do you all think?
A lamp for sure!!
I think a nice little table with a pretty lamp on it 💖
Haven't used in years, buy plan to this year! Trying to discover which one I want! Thank you❤️
What a fantastic tutorial! (I'm a mom on my sons TH-cam lol)
No one thinks it weird she used the same brush for her face that she used on her hands and feet??
No it's her body. It's not like she was using it on someone random. I don't know about you but the top of my feet are clean.
She literally just showered
Do you have any self tanners you absolutely don’t recommend??
Yes! Good question Hannah. So I thought the L’Oréal Sublime bronze & the Jergens natural glow made me look really orange. The L’Oréal always came out streaky on me too.
