    Great video - about to buy a 2005 model near Zwolle (unfortunately the dealership does not have the service history as it was a trade-in, which is concerning). Would you mind sharing where in the Netherlands you're riding in this video? Roads look twisty and fun for NL!

    Bedankt!!

    I'm about to buy a secondhand Multistrada also 2003 model. Seems in a good condition. Don't know a lot about bikes and maintenance. But from all the short research I did seems I'll go for it. Price is 3000euro about 45000 km

      OverSpeed awesome! Sounds like a good deal too. Piece of advice though, ask if the valve guides were replaced. The original ones are weak. Mine failed at 24k.

    Good review, thanks. Just got a mint 2006 1000 ds in grey/silver which is just a beautiful machine and am loving it. I know it's a while since you posted this but it would be good if you could give a link to the guy in the USA who made the crash bars and belly pans for this bike.

    At 4:49 did that Bus go through a RED light? What is up with that?

    • @motopreneur8058
      @motopreneur8058  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, separate traffic light, you can see it just after he leaves at the right.

      Good to know. I thought Buses were like cop cars over there. Cops go through lights when they want to..

      Danny Cabrera online or from the Ducati Dealership.

    Hows the maintenance on this bike. I m thinking to get one too. but i heard its expensive.

    • @motopreneur8058
      @motopreneur8058  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mike H It is. Maintenance interval for the older models is short. Besides that, within 6 months they had to replace the valve guides on my engine which was quite expensive. It only had 24k on it at the time.

    • @motopreneur8058
      @motopreneur8058  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike H but yes, I'd still buy one 😉

    • @mcdamike

      Spoke to a mechanic. its a big job. need to disassemble the engine to do the valve guides, thats going to be expensive. I will definitely talk to the dealer and get an idea for the cost.

    • @motopreneur8058
      @motopreneur8058  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike H wise choice. I do believe Ducati once offered the option to replace the weak valve guides under warrantee / recall. If this was done you're probably fine. If not...

    Hi, thanks for the video, and very helpful comments. You mentioned that the bike is noisy, is it only on idle due to the dry clutch, or its also noisy when riding it, at least on your video it does nor seem noisy and it has a nice purring sound.? How it compares in this respect with your previous Kawa and Pegaso? I’m unfortunately progressing towards getting tinnitus, so very concerns about noise levels (i’m also considering buying multi 1 or 1.1 k) Thanks!

    • @motopreneur8058
      @motopreneur8058  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Vuk! The noise is partly due to the dry clutch, but the entire engine has quite a mechanical noise to it. With the stock exhaust it's not really loud, but it isn't your typical honda either. Can't really offer you any advice regarding the noise-levels with tinnitus except voor earplugs and a decent testride to find out for yourself. When you do get an early model 1000ds, I'd opt for higher screen. I bought the MRA spoiler screen, which was a major improvement.
