With due respect, Audi wrote the book on premium interior design. That living room style instrument display in this M2 looks so out of place in what is meant to be a serious drivers car.
I am thinking between the Audi rs3 and bmw m2 and one thing that keeps me leaning towards the m2 is how full of plastic the rs3 is, I don’t wanna pay 80k for a car that the interior is all black plastic
July 2024 took delivery of my 2024 M2 manual (BLACK SAPPHIRE METALLIC w/ 19/20" black spoke 930m wheels). Had the windows tinted and it looks bad ass. I've always been a 911 guy and this is my first BMW. I'm inching closer to my 1200 miles service and then I can finally open it up. Next to do... Sign up for BMW M School...
Those squarish pods on the corners are dubious. But you did say "best looking modern M car", so quickly reviewing the modern history: Agreed. But still BMW can do better, imo.
The wheels look great. I had a 2014 BMW with silver wheels. Unfortunately, BMW installed brake pads which constantly crapped all over them. I had to replace the pads with some that produced a silverish dust so that I didn't have to clean them constantly. I wonder what kind of pads BMW will be using on this 2025.
It should have climate controls activated by the rotary knob, because I don't want to smudge and scratch that LCD screen, and also I prefer that precise, mechanical feel of the knob !
I thought about skyscraper but it’s quite dull. Must confess it looks good on that car, but I opted for an all white with black wheels because I like the black wheels but everyone to there own taste..
Great review, thank you! Out of curiosity, would you get Grigio Telesto or go with Skyscraper Grey? They appear to be somewhat close in shades. Regardless, what is your overall opinion on Grigio Telesto?
@@bmwblog I really like the UNI paints, but with my busy schedule and constant traveling, I’m not someone who would go for PPF, since I tend to take my car through the wash a lot. I’m aware that UNI paints are softer and more prone to swirl marks, which is something I’ve been thinking about. These days, it feels like blue shades are everywhere-Voodoo Blue, Violet Blue, Laguna Seca Blue, and so on. I’m a bit older in years but definitely young at heart. What color would you recommend for the exterior-something unique, but not too wild? I’m also a big fan of the Fjord Blue interior, as I thought it would go well against Grigio. You’ve got impeccable taste, so I’d love to know what you’d choose. Could you suggest one option each for a UNI and metallic paint, a blue, a green, and a grey? Thanks so much, I really appreciate your insight!
On the Belgian website, as I was looking to buy one, the telesto colour didn't exist. In grey, there is the brooklyn and skyscraper, not the telesto unfortunately.
@@bmwblog Color is quite personal, but did you think Grigio Telesto suits the car more than Brooklyn Grey? I am leaning toward Java Green but I am not sure I can handle the attention.
@@AirKhan11 congrats if you're getting one but pro tip, I'd go for a 23 or 24 model at a discount, unless you really want the flat bottom steering wheel... Ordered mine a couple weeks ago in Frozen Grey. First day the M2 orders were available. Too bad that the top paints (Telesto, Purple, Vodoo, Java) they want $3k + the carbon fiber roof or I'd probably get the Purple. TBH though I don't think there is a better car for
Bearing in mind 2024 models have been showing quite a bit more power on dyno than the official figure it will be interesting to see how this ‘25 model power bump relates.
Same power as 2024, BMW is just officially saying the actual power finally. Mine dyno’s over 500hp at the crank. They could’ve at least lowered the car with the 2025. That front wheel gap is still horrible.
Personal opinion but I feel like whilst the interior of BMWs have gotten better the exteriors are getting worse and worse. I feel that it used to be the other way round.
Imagine giving some amazing new colors like Twilight Purple and Java Green, and decide that a boring, lifeless grey is the one to show off LOL. Must be some DEI ESG hires there making these dumb calls, among other BMW decisions.
Why are BMW UK, know charging 2k for carbon roof and extra money for carbon interior, when it was standard on gen 1 cars 🤔, cars getting more expensive, to increase the price and take way what was standard specification is poor, BMW won’t be ordering a new M2 , gen 1 instead manual 👍
