I’ve covered lots of gravel roads on my 2013 nc700x with Shinko 805 front and Mitas E07 rear.

I unfortunately never tested the NC700 off road prior my suspension upgrade build, i am confident that the 17 inch front wheel might wash out on me, i just don't know. What i can tell you however, since upgrading to 21 inch front and the knobbly 17 rear, it sits just as i want on the gravel. It really does feel as if i'm on my RD07...I still need a bit more time in the saddle off road tho. Love your vids, keep it up. Frank

Thanks for the comments man. Appreciate the support coming from you! I'll be following your videos as you perform more testing of the build. Your build seems like the ultimate solution - for my needs at least!
After each out of town trip I do, I find myself feeling disappointed in the NC's gravel capabilities, I start looking at other bikes such as Versys X 300, KLR, RD07 - But keep in mind I am on the shorter side, so I my options are limited (I also cannot afford a bikes in the price range of the Yama T7) But after using the NC in the city for a few days, I feel in love with it again and I'm reminded what a valuable tool it is.
So to say I am seriously interested in your build is an understatement. I'll reach out to you via email or Facebook to stay in touch.

Great video, thanks!! Lived in Stilbaai for years and crossed the "Malgas pont" a few times years ago. I'm thinking about buying a NC750X DCT, but I'm 6ft4" (long legs). Will the NC750 not be a bit too cramped for me? I'm worried that I might feel uncomfortable on a longer ride with knees bent too much.

Thanks man. I am a short dude, I tippee toe and cant flat foot when on the NC. So honestly, I cant comment on the comfort for a tall person.
What I can say is, its only got a 14L tank, so you not gonna be riding for hours on end. You'll be forced to stop and fuel up every 260km - 300km depending on riding style and how much gear is packed on the bike.

I am about to purchase myself one as well, what would your recommendations be... i am also based in cape town, how does the winds affect you?

Hi Ulrich, I have not regretted my purchase at all. Very versatile bike. As for how it handles the South Easter, no problems at all. Its a solid bike with quite a bike of weight to it, so it does give you confidence in windy conditions.

May I ask you what dual tyres you have on your bike? I'm looking at the Pirelli MT60RS at the moment.

Metzerler Karoo 3 at the rear and Pirelli MT60RS infront

@@callan_blount what is their longevity like on gravel? I ride my NC750X through gravel on street tyres but the rooster tailing chews them out
