Your Mic needs to have it. As long as it has a headphone port that is where you plug the aux for Xbox

The mic need a specific voltage to run and the normal port cant provide enough power

It is to split audio. The adapter helps xbox split the audio since xbox is not usb plug and play. PS is.

Regardless Xbox will need a splitter. Sometimes the Series X gets away without one depending on mic.

I know you probably won’t see This but whenever my mic and headset are plugged into the spitter I can’t hear anyone else or change the audio settings on the Xbox party
It’s because your headset and your usb mic are trying to work but because there’s 2 different mics they cancel each other out hope that helps 🙂

If you mean a wireless headset then you can just use the headset, non of this is necessary. If you mean just a mic that’s wireless then no. Xbox doesn’t have Bluetooth. Well not for sound, anyway.

Unfortunately you do need it, trust me bro, just wanna save a bit of time.
For reference there is a very small percentage of microphones that don’t need it but ik that blue yetis need it and razer microphones do aswell. You can try yours if it’s a different brand but I did that and had no luck.
Very true. USB mics are hard on Xbox. If you are using a budget mic I recommend the official xbox adapter. If you have a legit USB mic the turtle beach is fine.
