Bro if I had a pc why would I be playing an Xbox
I have an amazing pc..and here I am lol
🤣 me too, but the people wants what the people wants...
Wild guess but I think maybe some people actually might do stuff on the PC besides gaming so they have both because of convince... maybe
To many cheaters ☠️☠️ rather play on my xbox where I have the option to NOT play with those kids
@Spiderwebpotato maybe because a $200-$300 laptop can't play games..
I have a PC but I don't want to connect a mic through it. Hence why I'm here.
The thing I don’t see people talk about is how even the xbox 360 had the option. It was big surprise to me since I had my Xbox 360 as main console until 2022 and I was a bit annoyed that I had to buy an adapter now.
wow I dint know that. yea that's crazy to think they would take that option away.
It's because they knew they made the 360 perfect so they went as far away it as possible
Normally how it works 😅
BRO LITERALLY SAVED ME 3 YEARS OF FRUSTRATION GOT MY LIKE SUB AND I SMACKED THE SHIT OUTA THAT NOTIFICATION BELL... THANK YOU
LETS GOOO
Yo, i unnluged the cable i was using from the laptop and the microphone still worked, made me super happy. Idk if i wasn't listening or smth but like, thank you for the tutorial. So far its working fine.
This works (with lag), but be careful if you have limited bandwidth. For whatever strange reason, with Xbox Series X|S, Remote Play streams over the internet rather than just using your local wifi connection like it did on Xbox One (even though you’re in the same house and on the same local network), so you will be racking up that data usage per hour through your ISP. Not sure why they haven’t fixed this.
Wow, I didn't know that great tip 👊
Yup. No wonder why the video quality sucks on my pc via remote play
It's cause they are lazy. Same reason why Xbox app is trash
Love watching your channel grow. You are looking better than ever.
Thanks I appreciate that.
Extremely helpful video. Thank You Man!
No problem glad I could help
Hell yeah. Thanks for the vid mate! Exactly what I was after. I don’t get why it’s so hard with Xbox for mics and usb headphones. Didn’t think it would be an issue coming from ps4. Thanks again
No problem
I don’t have the Xbox gamebar neither do I have the option to run the mic through it
Yes he uses the underrated game bar, fun fact back in windows 10 you used be able to broadcast/live stream from the game bar
drop knowledge bombs in here I like it. so what you're saying is they messed with a good thing and took away from windows 11 lol.
@@PughsReview yes but you can still record with it
GameBar is goated
Extremely helpful video well done and thank you
Thanks
This worked perfectly and was super easy, thank you!
For the time being I’m using a cheap pair of earbuds plugged into my laptop for audio because for some reason, my wireless gaming headset will play me audio from games and the Xbox but I’m not able to hear any audio from members of my party.
Ideally I would be able to but I guess not, my plan is to either get some wireless earbuds that I can connect through Bluetooth to my laptop so I can hear game audio as well as party audio although if that doesn’t work because I’m using remote play with my Xbox then I will opt for high quality wired earphones and that will work just fine
Anyways this video was super helpful, thank you so much!
So here's my problem. I set all this up, it seems like its all working, the audio levels on MW2 are reacting to my voice, it's getting audio. but it doesn't actually output any audio, nobody can hear me whatsoever and i have no idea what's wrong.
Cod was weird at times tey while the game is loaded in pre lobby, unconnect from remote stream the connect back this fix some issues for me at the time of testing.
If you’re having problems with putting the njsj usb microphone into your xbox, as said it has an extendable usb chip that you can plug into the charging port of your xbox controller, as it has a headphone jack on it you could plug your headsets jack into the mic if you have a wired headset!
Audio is not pull through usb ports at all on the xbox tho.
it didn’t work for me
Just a clarifying question, would this allow me to hear the game audio?
Currently, I play on my Xbox while in a party through Game Bar on my PC. This means I cannot hear game audio with my current configuration.
My goal is to use my mic and headphones on my PC while being able to hear the audio of the game while in a party.
My take is that this video shows how to do that, however I just wanted to confirm before I spend time trying to configure it all correctly.
Thank you for your video, though! Smooth and put together in a concise yet informative manner!
Yes, all you will need to do is set up your headset on the gamebar to pick up the audio, and you're good. Now I will say some people have a syncing issue when it comes to game sound delay. I don't have this issue, but I wanted to throw it out there to you so you know. Ways to help with it is making sure pc and xbox are hooked up with ethernet cables and close by each other.
Fantastic got sorted thank you really appreciate it I’ve subscribed and shared
Thanks your a legend for sharing...
This method works, but there is significant lag. I tried using it for recording an MLB The Show 23 game and I was always a fraction of a second behind on every swing. Probably fine for most games, but not for things that require precise and quick actions.
Some people reported this. I was able to play cod on this method with no issues. Also, you shouldn't be lagging if you use the screen you console is hooked up to not the pc screen.
@@PughsReview Ahh ok, that makes sense. I don't have room on my desk for a second monitor unfortunately, and I'm not sure if switching my monitor's input back to the Xbox will work. I guess I'll have to give it a try.
Oh, I see as well. Hopefully, that will work, put pc in, don't sleep so it won't cut off. That should work, I think
@@PughsReview It works!
@@PughsReview Just change the sleep/power option on your PC/Laptop so it doesn't go to sleep on you.
So I can'T plug my headphones into the controller bc then I cant talk lmao, glad I have no other way to use audio
If you like to explain your issue a little more I might be able to help.
I think I understand and am having the same problem, everything in the video worked but once you connect you’re headphones for the audio the mic in the headphones negates the usb mic and makes it not pick up any audio, but whenever I have my headset unplugged and plugged into my actual monitor my usb mic seems to work just fine
Wouldn’t you just plug the headphones into the pc as well? Since it’s also streaming audio to it. Then just mute your tv
@Jon Casey yes sorry I didn't see these replies, youtube screwing up crap ot showing me. But yea, all you have to do is plug into the pc for audio as well.
@@artistoffwhite look up headset aux cords and find the one where the plug part has 3 black lines bc the one in the video only has two so it won’t pickup the microphone since the one with 3 is longer and has an extra part that is made for picking up microphones when the one with 2 doesn’t
For whatever reason, the xbox party chat seems to pick up the mic while doing this method, but PUBG doesn't recognize the mic. Made sure to double check PUBG Settings and that it's set to open mic too. I have a Blue Yeti. Also tried doing the Y Splitter on the xbox controller to the USB mic and same deal, party chat recognizes the mic but not PUBG. I don't play cod so I can't test that, don't really play a whole lot of online multiplayer games on console.
i would say it has to be a setting in pubg then to be honest.
I’ve had no issues with pubg so far i just started using it today
I tried this method and once I connect my usb mic I wasn’t able to hear my team mates in party anymore
While the game is loaded on the xbox disconnect from remote stream the reconnect this fix it for me and make sure setting are right as well.
Subscribed! Great stuff bud!🎉
Let's goooo
One problem. It’s not showing “see my consoles lists” please can you do one for Xbox series s and for 2024 on a laptop. Thank you 😊
Thanks bro you pretty much answered my question in 10 secs
Glad I could help
Omg this actually helped so much
dude thank u so much it helped me out a ton
No problem, glad to be of service. Come again. 😅
Thank you bro now i can stream with my mic having good quality😅
My brother, I am following you from Saudi Arabia. I did not understand whether to connect the microphone to the computer or to the Xbox
Oh this is awesome im using this for sure. Thanks!
Man you’ve lost alot of weight I’m proud of you the difference between the two videos
💪💪💪
I dont even have an xbox but i liked the video just because you're gorgeous
Going to try this, thanks
Your welcome
Thank you! Much appreciated in this video…
You very welcome
Thanks bro that helps me a lot
Quick question, after i click the button for the little spaceship that pops up everything is working fine for my mic, however its just a black screen and 10 seconds later it says "disconnected from cloud gaming session" and my mic disconnects from the party. How can i keep it from dissconecting as its only working for 10 seconds then i get kicked out again
Are you just playing or trying to stream from the console to twitch?
@@PughsReview my goal is to stream from my xbox to twitch with the mic used on my laptop. But before I get the chance to do anything when I click the rocket ship its a black screen and it kicks me out after 10 or so seconds
@emblerr8738 yes unfortunately you cannot use this method to stream to twitch from the xbox. But you can stream from the labtop to twitch using this method. I have a video on it
th-cam.com/video/2PnY1rGIGg0/w-d-xo.html
I love your screen saver
Very helpful, I was wondering what microphone and camera to get?
Budget? For both
@@PughsReview both budget and quality, for the microphone I was thinking about the zealsound usb microphone condenser. But I’m not sure about camera. Any suggestions?
I don't know that mic but here's a mic I reviewed you can check put
th-cam.com/video/Q1t9Vgq8XmM/w-d-xo.html
You can't remote stream to the pc while streaming from the xbox to twitch btw.
For a camera you can always use your phone to get started cheap and good quality
Mic works although I can’t stream while remote playing? Any ways to figure that out?
Download obs and stream the remote play on your pc.
Thanks So Much Bro
I did it and it worked but i couldnt hear anything can you please tell me how to fix that?
This seems to easy to be true and way to underrated if it works, lol. I’m gonna go try this right now
Ok wow it worked! I was very surprised but very happy now I can use my wireless Logitech g733 headset and my usb mic on it too!
Glad I could help
Does the microphone work in game chat as well? Or only party chat?
Does work in game chat
absolute legend!!
Can you use it in game chat if you just switch the party to game chat on Xbox?
I’m also wondering this
Will the mic work in GameChat? Or only party
both
Does work with Mac too?
O don't use Mac so I wouldn't know
Thx
Cause I only have a mac
@@drame_leo yea sorry I don't know
@@PughsReview still thx
Np
How do you get the Xbox screen up on the pc screen also
I used the Xbox App to play cross platform games on my PC with my friends on Xbox. Did know it worked the other way around too. Thumbs & Sub!!!
Nice. Appreciate it. 😎
@@PughsReview why is my controller not working on the games
I am n9t sure that a new problem never heard of that I would turn the controller off then back on
When i finally stayed streaming it was very red in the "skipped frame due to encoding lag"... Any advice
If wireless internet try wired
What if I leave the party? Can I go back to game chat and talk to my fiends?
But can you use a WIRELESS HEADSET in combination with a USB MIC?
could I plug in a wired headset into my controller and this still work?
No plug it into the pc
I get that you want audio from Xbox to PC, but streaming takes up a lot of bandwidth? Just so much, and also you would not get audio cues faster if you were just on your controller. A mixer would be a good option. Or go into your PC settings and get the audio from your capture to your usb headset, forgot how to do it.
So to be honest my audio match up fine I've never had this issue I can see how it could become a issue but like you said their is a way to make it match up in setting. That I don't remeber how to do too 😅. If more people ask ill make a short on how to do it and put in all the leg work and time to figure it out again.
@@PughsReview I gotchu!! For simple TH-cam comment I do for audio only on my pc for my Xbox with the elgato I do… windows search bar>sound>soundcontrol panel> recording>game capture (capture card, mine is HD60s) set as “default device” after that you should have audio to your PC from your console using the elgato, hope you read this and helps your next short!!
@Manjoe thanks I actually use voice Metter potatoe to run my entire set up so I have different channels for sounds
i could not find the option to connect your xbox to your pc
Does the laptop part work with a Samsung computer or no
If it runs windows and has the xbox app I would assume yes 👍
bro help me, i did this and it work fine but when i plug my headset in to my controller afterwards it dosnt work. i think it just switches to my headset mic but my headset mic doesnt work
You are correct. Plug your headset into your pc
But I can’t use my head phones to hear through my Xbox because then it picks up the headphones and does not let me use the computer mic what’s the fix for this
This worked perfectly for me. But I can’t stream on twitch while running the Xbox stream on my pc. Do you have a workaround for that?
Yea download obs or streamlabs and stream from the pc while streaming your game
Thank you
So I have a headset that bluetooths directly to my Xbox. I can talk through the mic but I can’t hear any chat back through it. How can I fix that?
And what I mean is. I can talk through the usb mic, but I can’t hear chat audio through my headset.
Yea so it's been a while since I've actually done this method but if memory serves me right I had this issue in COD. so what I did is have the game open disconnect from remote play on the PC and Xbox and then reconnect while the game is up this seem to fix my audio issues for hearing game chat and voice chat and all that if I remember correctly. Give that a try especially if you're playing Call of Duty.
So like I do that and do the remote play and I’ll be in party chat and even discord. I can see the mic working but I can’t hear anybody else. I can hear in game audio from the game and console, but nobody talking.
Do you need to have your PC open all the time while using your USB mic on your Xbox?
Yes
this is working in the Xbox game chat but in Fortnite it is not. Is this something with my settings or what do I do?
I have heard this I haven't had time to test it though. When I had aissue with COD I would disconnect and then reconnect to Game Pass while fortnite is open try that see if it helps
i tried it for mlb the show but somehow when i play online it disables the controller
Does this also work with any headphones too or is thier a way of using wireless headphones
Thank you brother
Any idea on how to configure/ utilize a mixamp? Specifically the Astro a40 mixamp. I have a pc, Xbox series X, usb mic, & some high quality earbuds, but I cannot figure out how to tie all these products together to use them on Xbox.
you talking about this method of remote streaming with you pc?
I run a similar way. In ear monitors with Astro mix amp and external mic. I’m assuming I would just plug the mix amp into my Xbox via usb, with my in ear monitors in the mix amp. Then use the method covered in the video to run the external mic.
@@silkytx yup this
This method works well but it stops working as soon as I plug any headphones into the xbox controller even if they have no mic input. Is there a fix for this? Thanks
Hook your headset up to your pc or monitor.
This worked great! But how do i hear my teammates in game chat on warzone? I cant hear them talk and they cant hear me talk.
Hi, interesting, but every time I turn off the console and turn it back on, do I have to do the same process to make the microphone work? Or doing it only once also applies if you use the Xbox every day? Thank you very much and I hope you can help me.❤
i did this but i can’t hear anyone talking. how do i fix this?
Recommend when the game is up stop remote stream then reconnect
So I tried this, but if you try to use your headset still connected to the Xbox it causes the game to have an echo bc you also have to have the headset connected to the pc to hear others in the party, plus games sounds are way to quiet, couldn’t control voice and game sounds from it
So, I used this method yesterday and had no issues. Just use the headset connected to the pc that's how I run this method and works fine not sure on it be8ng low its nice and loud for me I would think this is a setting turned down somewhere.
@@PughsReview so when i plug the headset into the pc am i gonna hear all the stuff i’m doing on my xbox, like party’s, games, etc?
Yes I believe so since your streaming back and forth audio streams to
@@PughsReview ok thank you
So I need my laptop on the side everytime I want to use my USB-mic?
Yep
@@PughsReview ill rather just use my headset then…
My brother did all of this and it’s showing it’s working on the laptop but not on the console or when we “test mic” on audio settings in call of duty
Yea I had this issue as well. While game is loaded disconnect from remote stream then reconnect that fixed it for me.
i have tryed this and all you need is a adio spliter
splitter for what this is a wireless way to do it? im confused help me understand so i can help please.
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUU
Hey for some reason everything works expect I can’t hear party audio now through the Xbox?
This all works great but for some reason when I talk my friends says that my voice kinda cuts of into a static any way to fix this?
Going live Sunday 9pm est to help everyone out. Come buy and I'll see if we can't get it working.
Would this work on a Chromebook?
No idea I don't use such evil things 🤣😉 if you can get both app I use in this video then maybe.
Does this require you to utilize remote play on the pc instead of from playing on the actual console? I experience latency during beta tests of remote play but havent utilized it since.
so this got my mic working in a party and game(mw2) but if im in game chat it auto mutes everyone and you cant unmute them. any ideas why or a fix to this problem?
No but I'll look into it
@@PughsReview thanks tag me if you can figure it out 6 hours in and still won't work. I'm playing mw2 6v6 not warzone if it matters
Thanks 🙏🏻
Your welcome 💪
THANK YOU
What if I plug my headset into my controller, the xbox still registers as the headset and my usb mic does not work anymore?
Plug the headset into the pc
wouldn't that not allow me to hear my game audio on xbox@@PughsReview
@@SirRhys nope game audio also streams to the pc
Does this work with series s?
It should with any xbox that can remote play
I typically stream from my Xbox, but when connect remotely it won't let me stream. Is there a way to continue to stream on the Xbox, or do I have to go the stream labs route on the pc?
that's a good question i am not sure i can look into it but you could always use this method to stream to twitch from stream labs i have a video step by step on it.
Once I connect to remote play and the mic is working it will never ever let me go live on my series s can you please help me out
Yeah you won't be able to you can though download streamlabs or OBS and go live with your stream using your computer with the remote play
@@PughsReview okay thank you man 💪🏻💪🏻
My screen still shows they cant find a microphone and i can hear myself through my headset and party members hesr me twice, idk what else to do
Bro you’re a beauty
I'm guessing you're talking about the video 🤣 or your talking about me in that case. Thanks as well 🤣🙂
This video helped however the audio only stayed for a short amount of time then it disconnects
You absolutely don't need to do it that way as you can connect to party chat on your pc as well as on xbox, so you can use your mic from pc and connect your headphones to your controller
I see what you're saying, but what about game chat itself? With this method, gamechat like in COD works.
@@PughsReview I don’t think that using game chat with the remote access method, which is pretty laggy, will let you communicate fluently with your friend, especially in games like COD, where quick communication gives you the main advantage. In that case, I would stick to using Discord or Xbox party chat to communicate with my friends.
For me personally, I did not have the lag issues. I am running ethernet cables for both console and pc. But I get it to each their own. Thanks for the insight.
First of all great video i just got a series s and wondered why i cant talk. I have a problem, the sound comes with a delay when i plug my headset in my laptop maybe you can help me?
Do you have to do all this every time you start up? Or once you do it, it’ll stay this way?
Everytime unfortunately
shows on laptop that audio is coming through but other ppl in party can’t hear the mic
if i go to the party chat and click “Switch to game chat would everything still work fine and i would be able to talk to my friends through game chat?
This method works for game chat as well.
I followed the steps and all but it’s not showing up my mic and then when I’m playing it tends to not have a quick response time like playing normally
you talking about headset sound? and unplug you mic then plug it back in to try and get it to come up.
A couple things -
1. This is an awesome video for party chat mixers.
2. This will not work for game chat
3. Your performance and ping will suffer as you will have to have both your console and PC running.
Does not work if your streaming twitch of the Xbox you can’t stream and cast to your pc at the same time
where do i find the xbox game bar
ayo i was looking for a solution for this for like 3 years lmao.. didnt wanna buy a headset for xbox when im on my pc all the time and need to listen to my pc
Soon as I join a game like halo the mic part doesn’t work. Can still hear but it’s as if I’m muted. Help.
For some reason when I start streaming it won’t let me launch the gamebar. I spammed it and tried right clicking. Nothing
