Needed this right now. My last run was atrocious and I just felt so heavy and slow - I ended up doing 1.5km and walking home. Few days later I found out I was pregnant. Still very early and utterly exhausted. I think I need to be easier on myself and stop adding pressure. Thank you for sharing!

Really needed this. This is so hard! Running and group weight training was my therapist lol. It did my mind and body wonders. With my body changing, it is so much harder and kind of scary. Thank you for sharing this!

Month 4 has past and today I had a proper run for 20 min without feeling any discomfort. I hope every single woman will be able to get back to training.Good luck!!

I never normally post... but really wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience. I found it really reassuring that it's normal to suddenly feel like your fitness level has just dropped several rungs overnight. Thanks again

You're welcome! It's crazy how quickly your fitness drops in pregnancy.

@@alinakennedy should have said - I hope the rest of your pregnancy journey went well and that you are now a happy healthy - and fit mama :-)

@@cmhiggins2102 thank you! Yes, all went well and I now have a very active 10 month old. I hope the rest of your pregnancy is also smooth (albeit slower than pre-pregnancy life!).

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for sharing your honest experience! This was so helpful and encouraging for me. I 8weeks and was feeling so discouraged and down on myself. Your story helped me validate what I am going through right now as far as being active/tired/battling depression thoughts.
    I greatly appreciate it!

I can relate. I am a trainer and I was used to be so active. And that exhaustion completely destroyed my fitness routine. Only now at month 4 that I feel ready to get back on track. Still I’ll go very slowly as I really need to push myself to go back not because I want to force my body but because I want to keep being active especially now that I am feeling better. Thanks for your video!

Great share, thank you so much. I feel exactly the same in my 1st trimester. I went from being an ultramarathon runner (just did a 100km 2 month ago) to not be able to run even 5km! 😂
I’ve ran few 4km ran, so slow and felt so exhausted while running! It’s crazy, not easy to witness such a change

This is SO TRUE. Thank you for posting and your honesty. I am pregnant in the second trimester with our first & I am used to being on my feet all day, weight training 5x a week, and literally having to take multiple herbal tinctures to fall asleep because I've always been so energetic. I can't believe how exhausting everything is. I am just ready to pass out after batch cooking for a few hours and doing half an hour of light weights. Thank you so much for brining some reality to this wacky world of social media!

Same… I’m 5 weeks pregnant now, I’m taking multiple naps everyday, and can’t run as fast as before. Can you advise if 5.5mph is a good jogging pace in such condition? My goal is to jog for 1km 3-4 days per week…
