@snickpea97 Certain instruments in the middle are definitely associated with Beldam's crankiness, and the ones near the end are clearly sympathetic toward Vivian. The game is really effective in warming you up to her well before she joins your party
If you really think about it, the idea of "organic" (can survive blowing up) vs "manufactured" (dies after blowing up once) Bob-Ombs has been around for the _entire series,_ even back in PM64 and TTYD. Allied Bob-Ombs (Bombette, Bobbery, the literal hundreds of boomers at Fahr Outpost) are "organic" and can boom-bassa-boom all they want, while every _enemy_ Bob-Omb you fight just straight up dies after blowing up (including Bob-Ulks in the audience). Origami King was just the first to _make that distinction clear..._ Honestly, it'd be a hell of a lore note to explore in the next game, what does it mean _for Bob-Ombs as a culture_ that some can explode all they like and some only get one?
@@DucPr0 That's true of _every_ enemy in the Glitz Pit tho. You kill them, they vanish; battle ends, there they are. And presumably, it's only "organic" bombs that get to compete for their own glory.
It's not just the cutscenes some of the boss tracks have really satisfying sync ups between the think breaks and boss themes themselves. Magnus von grapple is a fantastic example
I nver got to play the original cause A, it was too expensive kn today's market, B never knew it existed cause i barely have gamecube games on my wii as a kid, and C was too lazy to set up dolphin but i love the music in the remake so much
The Yoshi color you get depends on the time between when you got the egg and when it hatches. The white Yoshi is between 19 and 20 minutes, 39 and 40 minutes, and so on.
Yeah, the bob-omb blast off part with the perfectly synced music is a chefs kiss
Okay but why does Prince Mush have the smoothest and best looking animation in the game?
Shadow Sirens theme is another great example of this. All of their cutscenes progress through the exact same mood and it's always fitting with the bgm
You're so right about this. Literally the theme of scheming, instigating, then either Vivian or doopliss getting othered and their feelings hurt

Ok I love those syncs, especially with the Prince Mush scene. That lined up really well.
So bob-ombs in other paper mario games only loses its fuse when blown up but paper mario TOG bob-ombs just straight up dies
the origami gink

to be fair, origami king most likely doesn't take place in the same continuity as TTYD. it's just kind of a standalone story.
@@WackoMcGoose Except TTYD have the Bomb Squad in the Glitz Pit who dies after blowing up in battle, but are clearly fine in cutscenes

Toads with bananas on their foreheads.
I agree with the above statement

Just to clarify things, they're not bananas, they're blonde hair.
@@svxd7369 I know. Just thought it’d be funny.
One time I was talking to Luigi and he started sounding heroic and the music did too

Do you think Prince Mush could've beat the Shadow Queen if he had Mario's partners?
Prince Mush would beat The Shadow Queen with no partners and one hand tied behind his back if the new superboss version of him is anything to go by.
There's a theory that he's a descendant of the original toad hero. @@Kylestien
It was ✨perfect✨
I swear the cannon music is a nod to Thunderbirds, it just makes too much sense for it not to be
God i love this game
I love God too

NICE.
Wait how do you get that form of yoshi??

Yeah I got the white one and named him Alex after Alex Armstrong from FMAB since he has the little blonde hair lol
@@morepressingmatters6713 Not bad. I was on a stream a few weeks back and I had a joke name ready for every colour _except_ white.
I got the black Yoshi during my playthrough, so I named it Shadow.
