The clarity of the game programming seems a tad...clouded.

My theory on this is that mario is shown as "standing" when he falls, so him being crouched would be a different animation, causing the game to not work properly.
Yeah, the game seems to fail to trigger the loading zone, if Mario is crounching while falling...🤔
Mario still has his head in the clouds...
