Expecting a pitiful defense by obsolete aircraft with no modern missiles, the attackers have their fighters in an impressive formation above their heavily laden attack aircraft with cargo and transport aircraft several miles behind. Unbeknownst to the Angolans, Zambia know the attack is coming. Zambia prepositioned one of their hopelessly outmatched MiG-19s in a camouflaged tent. As the armada passes overhead, the MiG powers out of its concealment, takes off from a makeshift runway, and fires a Genie to take out the Attacking MiGs and Sukhois from behind then turns to gun down the Angolan cargo and troop aircraft. Minutes later, another MiG-19 uses a Genie to take out the main invasion force of T-62 and T-72 main battle tanks. The Zambian Army then moves into position to defend the border against any remaining attacking units and refugees.
