Organization? Not having organization isn't the problem, it's expecting that there would be any. It's what happens during events like this. Chaos is inherent. This gets better when the community just lets going to stuff like this and stops chasing. Buy non allocated and whatever is best available without the drama. If Bookers was best available, there was never anything there to begin with.
I have been to a 1/2 dozen of these drops. This was the first one where the crowd was not instructed where to line up. As a result people crushed in from every direction. The past events where people knew where the lines would be were orderly and not chaos.
You really think people from KY don't come across for OHLQ drops? You don't have to be an Ohio resisdent for any of the store drops, I Know people in NKY who got bottles on single barrel saturday and the Elmer T, Blantons SFTB drops. People who come across regular when big bottles are dropping. Only thing you need Ohio IDe for is the lottery that you enter online not the drops at stores.
This is why I don't participate in these drops no matter where they are, I have 4 regular stores I visit, if they don't have it, I don't need it 😅 Cheers
@toddhughes9366 That's not true. I went to a drop that had Russell's 15 and the 70th anniversary bottle. This was 1 with i believe it was Bruce Russell there signing. I got my hands on the Russell's 15 and was turned away because of my KY ID.
@@josephlinstead5270that was lottery. The regular special drops where you dont need a wining ticket, like the one we had 2 weeks ago, do not require id.
That much time for a bottle of the Booker Reserves. I completely understand the salt now!
Hey, at least the reserves is really great!
agreed
How does one find out about the Kroger drops? Is there a FB group or IG page that lets people know?
I normally see them talked about on the ohio liquor reddit

A lot of gripping for someone that got a decent bottle
Honestly people from Ohio shouldn't be allowed to participate anyway. You have the OHLQ and people from KY can't get in on those drops.

Why are there billboards for NKY liquor stores in Cincinnati? Hmmm...bad business to turn away customers
