We have a ‘92 Honda Fourtrax 350 still going strong. It lives in an old shitty damp barn in the forest and only runs low speed short trips towing a utility trailer for our hunt camp. Recently replace the spark plug wiring because it was rotten, in doing so had to remove the fuel tank and was shocked it is still spotless inside, zero rust or crud. Great little bike with the only electronics being the starter

I grew up on these in Eastern Canada. My father had many three wheelers, was given my first bike, a yamaha 225dr when I was nine. 6 months ago I purchased an 850 outlander and let my 67 year old man take it for a rip, his face said it all haha

That big red is more reliable than anything built today

My father gifted me a brand new atc 185s in 1981. The next few years were the best years of my life. Now 40 something years later I found an old 185s basket case for $50 and brought it back to life. It's a fun machine but the lack of rear suspension limits how much I could push it with my 56 year old body.

I got a 1983 atc 185s that my dad got brand new as a birthday gift when he was a teen, ol' girl may be 41 but she's still rocking on the trails🤘

Riding these in the snow is the most fun. I hang all the way off the side and drift it around turns hard. But I stay low and just slide off the seat

Big reds in mint condition in Canada are going well in the range you paid and even more. looking almost 2500 or more for a big red with shaft drive and reverse.

This guy did not grow up on these. I had a Honda 90, then a Yamaha 225 shaft drive with reverse shifter as a kid. I remember drifting every chance I could.

This vid brought back great memories for me . I had an 83 Big Red on our farm . I was a teenager back in those days and did a lot of stupid stuff on that bike . But never ever tipped it or had any accidents with it . Wish they still made them :)

I grew up on a Honda 250 Big Red, and the 200 Big Red is tough as nails. The cool thing about three wheelers is that they maneuver in tight places, easy to pull out when they get stuck and are easy to work on. It does take a little more skill to ride them, but once you get to hang of them, it makes you a better rider.

I thinned out my herd of three wheelers down to six, three Hondas and three Yamahas. Next time could you show the manufacturers sticker on the front, thanks. That should have neutral at the top and hopefully a plastic seat pan for when you recover that seat. Love riding ATC'S around the property and always take a picture of them on the dam, overlooking my bass pond. Hell, at 70, working 2 jobs, I deserve any kind of fun I can think of. Any trouble with that seat cover job, let me know and I'll recommend a good vendor, what size staples to use, and always warm the cover in the clothes dryer for 6 or seven minutes to soften it up so it stretches out nice. Great vid Stephen, and how about Howard, does he ride?

Had a 1999 Honda TRX300 4x4. Very simple technology run great no major problems. Sold it to upgrade to a 2013 Yamaha kodiak 450eps. Honda atvs are still keeping it simple even today. Always great to see the 3 wheelers on the go.

You need to ride a model with full suspension like the Honda '83-'87 ATC 200X or the '85-'86 350X. Completely different machines. Both are sport models with kick starting and manual clutch. Smiles for weeks! Honesty it doesn't take alot of skill to ride a quad but once you master a trike you'll be the best rider on the trails. I have a '85 Honda ATC 200X that I bought new in December '84. 39 yrs old and as much fun today as when new. I just went through it last summer and replaced all the bearings, chain and sprockets and so on. Nice trike you have there and cool vid. #savethetrikes

The other dangerous thing about them, just like you did on the slow rock climb, is you put your foot down out slip of the pegs and you can run over your leg and break your ankle real quick if you do not know what you are doing. This was another reason why they banned them

I have a near mint original 1982 big red. First year for the red. Mines a 200e no reverse though in 82. I have a couple videos of mine on my channel. Still original front tire(had the original rears until a few years ago) still original seat no rips

Ive always said trikes are the combination of the worst elements of a bike and a quad mixed together:
-Wide like a quad, so it cant do single track
-3 tire lines to watch for obstacles on, rather than 1 or 2
-tippy like a bike, but its not useful like it is riding a bike
-narrow front, wide rear is more stable going backwards
We are starting our Tecate 3 rebuild soon, expecting it to be a terrifying deathtrap when its done

I’ve road an 84 act200 utility they are capable and fun but you have to ride on your own or with other 3wheelers. They definitely beat your body up more and just can’t go as fast or on the same lines as quads the only other thing that bothers me is no reverse, no rear suspension and pull cord only. Not that all those three wheeler are like that I’m trying to find a 250sx

The low pressure you suppose to have is the suspension.
