Thanks very much for this. I've found everything on these little cars seems to seize up. Front disc retaining screws, rear drum retaining screws. Rear drum corroded onto the hub. Even the alloy wheels corroded to the drum. I've put a coating of copper grease on those parts now. Thanks Again 👍
Thanks great video with some patience back and forth on the bolts.. i got them both out .. some cleaing and a bit of copper grease now its ready for inspection =)
Thanks a lot! I just broke the bolt in the front yesterday while trying to undo it. It was seized and I didn't realise it. The rear one came out. Both bolts look quite rusty. I think it's not serious if in the end the plastic case is held in place by only one bolt, is it?
Good video, just like others of yours,,,shame you had a sheared bolt though........Just wondering why you took this route to adjust the handbrake though? I did mine today...had 12 clicks+ .....now has just 2 clicks before contact.....I didn't use this method, I took the drums off and adjusted from that end....sadly the automatic adjusters don't always work correctly and I was aware one side was connecting before the other, so all perfectly balanced now............keep up the good work...
colin saunders - The main reason why the automatic adjusters fail, is dirt/corrosion. Disassembling and perform a good cleaning and a tiny amount of lube tend to make it come back to life without problems . Perfect timing to call the wire brush "your best friend". LOL 😂
You can get the thread that's left out with a pair of mole grips on the thread from underneath the car,use a wire brush and some penetrating fluid to help it out.
Hi any chance you can do a video on the aygo on how to change and rocket cover seal im trying to change the rocket cover seal on my aygo but finding it difficult thank you
See I'd be real OCD about this so I'm planning to use a hole saw at the rear of the plastic and just slip the ratchet up ....can always buy a little plug for the plastic then won't have it flapping about :)
Any chance of you doing a video of installing a REV COUNTER into an Aygo/C1/107 that didn't have one to start with, include any info about any different parts like the SPEEDO surround replacement that might need one with the cut out that allows for the REV COUNTER to be mounted and where to get it and the costs please. I'd like to put 1 into my Aygo+ 2006 model, Thanks. Also state the difference between petrol and diesel versions.
This is the information you need, th-cam.com/video/De5NiOSKpt8/w-d-xo.html it is usually the pivot ceased on the brake shoes easy fix. Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@aaanton11 The bolt you sheared off in this video. I'm going to attempt to do this today. I'm wondering if bolts can be purchased if I shear mine off too.
I ended up with 2 snapped off. No matter how gentle I was. They are in so wrong place you probably can't avoid snapping the original ones. Drilled through, threaded new holes, new bolts used and loads of ceramic grease to avoid seizing in the future. Avoid copper grease as with the high temperature coming from the exhaust, it will just weld bolts to the chasis.

If your shoes are fully adjusted you will need to adjust the cable, sounds like you did a great job, thanks for your comments 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
You can drill down into the broken off M6 bolt and just screw a smaller M4 bolt with a big head instead, just to hold down the plastic

Great suggestion! I will add it to the list, keep watching Thanks Luke for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Hi, am I assuming when tightening the bolt at the back that the handbrake must be off (down)?
Yes, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

It is just a plug and play system, I will try and pick on up and fit it in a future video, thanks fo the comments 👍🏻👍🏻
Apparently my mothers handbrake in her 107 doesn't work at all. Just a tiny bit of slope and the car still moves. Will this fix that problem?

Am about to do this on my nieces 107 xs, would soaking them in wd40 overnight help?
definitely will do, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Hey only my left side works when I pull the hand brake, is there anyway I could fix this ?
if the cable is ok, check the brake shoe pivot as in this video, th-cam.com/video/De5NiOSKpt8/w-d-xo.html Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
This video is just what I needed. Are replacement bolts available to purchase by themselves?
Which bolts do you need, thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠

@@underdogunchained yes it can be replaced, but it's a lot of effort to do so. Goodluck with drilling and cursing 🤙🏼
Put a self tapper in the broken bolt n wd40 on the other one
Cheers
