I have an aygo that’s due an MOT don’t have time within the week to address the issue myself and don’t wanna risk getting skinned for parts I don’t need, most noticeable on my slightly slopped driveway, when I pull up and apply the handbrake the rear passenger side of the car lifts slightly, in damp weather it tends too stick, to avoid most of the above I find if I stop the car completely and leave a gear engaged take the handbrake off so it rolls a few mm where the engine brake applies then apply the handbrake most of the way it holds the car reasonably well and the rear passenger side doesn’t lift as much, so you think the handbrake is over adjusted and the rear driver’s passenger side needs the shoes adjusting too match the opposite side. Thanks

Rear drum brakes are better than disks. Rear discs are no good for the hand brake, they just don't hold and on a slope the car can roll back, so it's a realy good point about these cars. The rear drum brakes also last a lot longer than rear discs and the drum brakes are enclosed and don't see the wet and corrode.
Absolutely what I need to do to my 09 C1, no fancy tools or talk, good sound bread n butter advice n direct workmanship...👍
Thanks Buddy
Thank you, you have given me the confidence to do this myself...❤
@@IanLilley-r9i great thanks for watching

Yes adjustment required to equal handbrake
Thought that would be the case. Much appreciated
Very good.🏆
Thanks bro!! So when adjusting or turning the adjuster, the shoes should not come into contact with the drum?
When finished the shoes should be only just catching the drum very slightly 👍
