Flowmaster super 44 Gutted cats 3in tips Side exit EDIT: I do not own this truck anymore. If you see it around Richmond, Virginia, say hi to the new owner.
Sounds amazing! The fact that you don’t have a turndown and instead have a shorter tailpipe makes a huge difference in achieving that throaty, deep idle. Nice work.
To anyone in the future with questions about this setup, you can ask me. I copied it down to the tee. Same genuine flowmaster, piping, engine, etc. My ranger is a 93. I literally cannot say enough good things about it. It actually sounds this sexy in person. The drone isn't unbearable unless you're lugging in too high of a gear. At highway speeds you can have a normal conversation with the windows up. At idle it sounds like old school muscle. 10/10 recommend.
@@Blindbat1337 i hope you know it was your video that inspired me to copy this setup. I watched hundreds of videos and this one just did it for me. In person its even nastier

+Nick Henderson I can tell you that I was terrified about the sound until the shop started my truck lol btw did you get a random misfire for lean mixture too?
Not sure, I think the check engine light is on because the o2 sensors are having problems figuring out what's going on haha, I don't think I've ever got a misfire code, then again my scanner is missing so I'm really not sure anymore, and yea, mine sounds horrendous in the high rpms

besides the mods you done (want to do the same to mine but leave the cats stock or delete the 2nd one & add 3.8 V6 mustang headers with the adapter), how did you lower your's & where did you get the wheels?
I used a DJM flip kit in the rear and Beltec lowering springs up front. The wheels came stock on a bunch of mustangs in the late 2000's, so I was able to snag those on Craiglist for $200.
@@Blindbat1337 I have a '99 ranger & want mine to sound similar to yours & look similar cause I actually want to either find the wheels you got or maybe get some '95 mustang GT wheels

Rangers have the same bolt pattern as Mustangs. Those are Mustang rims. Got the same ones on my 99 Ranger and they are 17s. Only issue is the front will rub the suspension during very sharp turns so have to run the stick on weights.
I do not have the truck anymore sadly. However, at the time of this video, it had the following: - Beltec lowing springs - DJM rear flip kit - DJM Calmax shocks - Mustang billit wheels. 18x8.5 all around - Tonneau bed cover - 5% rear tint, 50% front tint (VA legal) - SOny headunit, pioneer speakers, and kicker subwoofer on a rockford fosgate amp. - BIllit grill
Is the downstream O2 sensor cheated? If not, you're running 20% lean. I own the same truck but in oxford white and i cheated my O2. Went from 20% lean to 3% which is well within tolerance. Im running no cat, a cherry bomb glasspack, and a dual stainless steel resonator tip. The tone got more aggressive after the fix. Look up "PO420 fix" here on youtube if you havent cheated the O2.
I do not own the truck anymore. However there were no O2 sensors after the cat for this specific truck. Not sure why you and I owned the same truck but different colors with different results. May have been due to something worth one of my previous owners. However, as mentioned, I didn't have an O2 sensor after the cat.
@@Blindbat1337 oh ya lol.. I have a 06 and the removed cats and resonator and got true duals with FM super 44's but off the line around 2300 rpm it has a loud metallic rattling. Was trying to figure out if I should put resonators on

Really Appreciate if i could get an answer from you
Hey Jonas. I used 2.5in piping and then the tips were 3.5in. Make sure the length of piping going from the muffler to the tips is different lengths. That's what helps give it the alternating sounds. Let me know if you have any other questions .
Jonas Martinez please share it here when it is done. I would love to hear and see it. I think the only different might be that cats will limit some sound. But hopefully not much due to hiflo
For sure maybe in a month i will have it all finished and will make a Vid of results. Wish i could have the gutted cats but they are not legal where I live.
You can kinda see some as I crouch down in this video (About 43seconds in). However, the two rear-most cats are cutted and put back in place. Then it's about 6-8inches of 2.5in piping before the muffler. Then there's a few inches of straight piping before the bend goes in for the exit. The tips are slashed cut and they line up perfectly with the body lines of the truck. The slash cut tips and lining up with the body changes the angle of how it exits from the muffler. If they just came up to the side it would have been a 90 degree bend. However, due to me wanting the slash cut tips to be aligned with the body of the truck, it's roughly a 45 degree bend to match with the 45degree tips. (I think thats how that worked. It was a while ago.)
