    I went from a slightly modded Vulcan Taurus to a stock Duratec Taurus, and the Vulcan Taurus has more acceleration, the Duratec is ONLY
    faster after 5000 RPM, but the Vulcan is faster throughout the RPM range, and EASILY burns rubber. If I get my hands on another Vulcan Taurus, I'm going to build a monster.

      I'm getting a 1992 tarus L (vulcan) 3.0, with 31k miles on it any advice to do anything with it would really be appreciated this is my 2nd car and going to be my first project car since it has low milage, cheap, and a almost mint engine it was drove by a grandma

    Eveeyone interested in performance should look at the new 3.0 Vulcan made in Spain and Austria for the Amazon, Uhaul and UPS Fleet upgrades. These cammed and tweaked engines are available for our Tauruses with a modified ECU and Exhaust Manifold, easily fabricated at a good Exhaust shop. The ECU is the problem. Its not "Legal" if done on US soil and will need to be shipped off to a 3rd party, so just like in the early Honda days, have a backup but this time it needs to be VIN matched especially if its 05+.

    Hey quick question can you please tell me or if possible make a video of how to remove the plenum completely off of the car I need to replace my imrc o ring and my EGR o ring so I need the plenum off I'm stuck with hose that if your standing in drivers side looking at your throttle body is just pass that towards windshield side of the throttle body it has a little white clip I have clip out but it will not come off is there a trick or something?

    • @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023
      @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it was never removed before they can stick and not come off. I took mine off and while it was a little difficult it came off with a little work. There are also small differences on how they are attached depending on the year.

    in your honest opinion are these mods worth the power output compared to the cost ive been looking for mods to do on my 03 ranger 3.0 2wd and Id prefer not to swap a new motor so this video has me quite excited

    • @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023
      @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How much power depends on how much you want to spend unfortunately. If you decide to swap in a stock 5.0 V8 you might end up costing more than just building up the V6 and it will equal the same power. The up side for the V8 is you can squeeze a lot more power out of them. Seen 350 horsepower with stock internals. 400+ with built bottom end and boost. The Vulcan is limited to 230 if you use the stock internals. 300+ with a built bottom end and boost.
      At least with the V6 you don't have to swap the rest of the driveline to handle the power and torque a V8 makes.

      @Krewtonn 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ragintaurusmusclemercury7023 I want reliability so im trying to be realistic with the power output i just want to make it snappier and all around fun to cruise and hit some pulls to me the 300 range is what im hoping for

      @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Krewtonn Then you can get close to that with the 3.0. Mine with cam, rocker arms, exhaust, and tune makes 240 whp and is quite quick. Runs low 14s with a bunch of wheel spin. Should run high 13s with boost which I am working on now.

    You can also bring the car to a dealership to be tuned to clear the speed limiter on the car and get it tuned where the car can go faster than it is tuned there tune 443 miles per hour but you can get it tuned to go faster fuel cutoff happens at 7300 RPM on the Taurus

    • @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023
      @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are. I recommend the fuel injectors off of the 3.8L Ford Essex V6 of the same year. I am going to upgrade to them when I supercharge my Vulcan early next year. I also recommend a Mustang GT fuel pump to feed the injectors. I have a fuel pump from a '07 GT on my '07 Taurus right now with the stock injectors. No issues but I will need the extra fuel if you are going for 200 horsepower or higher.

      You guys can do a rear mount turbo kit

    • @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023
      @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is more efficient locate the turbos as close to the exhaust manifolds as you can which means it is more efficient to place it in the engine bay. But if you do that you will have to do a lot of fabrication and relocation and maybe even delete stuff like a/c. Plus thete is more tuning involved with a turbo setup than it is with a supercharger setup. All in all it's more work and money. A supercharger it's more simple and easier to tune. May not make as much horsepower as a turbo setup but then again I rather have it more simple than complicated.
