I did this with a $40 muffler from summit racing. The smallest pipe diameter option they offer with it is 2.25 inches so I went with that. I haven’t done an exhaust tip yet but it sounds good for the price.
I have a summit racing cat back exhaust for my 97 b4000 it fits on b series and rangers it turns the single side exit into a dual exit out the back I think its perfect for these trucks sounds great and gives it a nice look
@@ClayRepairs Yes it sounds good but the 3L sounds better. I was mainly going for a less restrictive exhaust for better performance. Next year I’m looking at new headers
quick question. I want to put the flowmaster 50 delta series on my ranger and every website says it wont fit. it says the delta 40 will fit because it is 2” in and out while the smallest 50 delta is 2.25” in and out. Do you think i could make it work if i use a 2-2.25” adaptor on both sides? also does the 4” exhaust tip make any difference at all in the sound? thanks
one more question lol. All rangers after 96 are 2.25 diameter exhaust pipes. Why are all the adaptors for 2 inch? do they fit inside the og pipe before welded? also are most ranger mufflers bigger than the delta 40 because im wondering if i will need to buy the adaptor or not
Yeah, if you use the correct adapters I think it would definitely work. And the tip is mostly just for looks, but I think it might help the sound just a bit
The exhaust tip. You versus the guy she tells you no to worry about 😂😂
Bro 😂🤣 had to pin your comment

Link by any chance?
I can't weld either man. The way I see it is no one's gonna see it being under the truck. So as long as it holds.
Yeah 😂 I mean as long as it stays together I'm happy.
I put a FlowMaster exhaust on my 4.0 Ranger as well
Nice! Does it sound as good? I've heard people say the 3.0 can sound better

@@ClayRepairsdo you know any adapters that would be a good purchase?
Does it pass smog?😂
No we don't have smog around here 😂 It probably still would though since the cats are still there...
