- Little video of me driving the big rig.
Truck is a 2012 Kenworth W900L Aerocab, 600hp Cummins ISX engine and Eaton Fuller 18spd gearbox.
The video is a short drive from Nova Steel in Montreal Canada up to the garage in Sainte-Catherine Canada. It's a short run a do very often in between USA runs.

"The fifth element" is back ...
My last ride before I got so bad, I had to retire, was a. W900 Limited Edition, 18 speed behind a 725hp,kitty 373 rear gears studio sleeper, TV, DVD, remote control radio fridge, coffee pot in my reach for red lights and stops. 400 gal fuel take you down the ribbon far. All diamond tact,black leather interior. Caddie of big cars. Good quiet muffler. No rattles or noise in cab or sleeper.
Smooth shifting bro, I learnt more about shifting an 18 speed than I did from anyone talking it thru and I found it so easy you had the shifting gears and floating gears running thru them so smooth. It was the most educational video I've ever seen.

I think your company has the best looking trucks. Most company trucks are one color. I live just on the other side of the bridge and see your trucks almost on a daily basis. Keep those videos coming brother.

Shifting on point man!!! Little tip for you, dont engage your clutch while the rig is moving, thats what burns em out real quick. Through her into neutral and stop with the brakes...good habit to get into.
That's why clutch brakes are usually non existent in company trucks. Super frustrating. Especially if you have a pto you have to engage.
Wooofffff..... have a look at open transmission, nothing wrong wen you engage full clutch, it hurts only if inbetween....... n 4 your info only, its mechanic who do 10 tramsmissions in a month...... tnx

So did i, when i turned 30 i said F it i'm doing it and went for a CDL class, 6 months later here i was driving a beautiful W900L :)
If you're an independant person that doesnt have kids i strongly recommend it, paycheck is not bad either but you do spend a lot of time away from home.

Man, I've been told that Kenworths en Peterbilts make as much noise on the outside as well on the inside.... And it's true! Damn! What a noise! Nice gear stick anyway...

Heh, RubberDuck, you remind me of myself when I was your age driving a Kenworth. They haven't changed much except for the dash and a few other things like air ride etc. It's been 43 three years and I still enjoy it. My favorite is a Pete with a Cat engine coupled to a 15 speed. 18 speed trans are nice too. Do you split low range much? BTW, your split screen is great. I wish more guys on you tube would use this method.

Liked and subscribed so I can finish the video later. Given the roads you're driving and the constant obstacles you're dodging, you drive that big dog like a boss!! The ease of up and downshifting with the jakes are pretty cool too...great video!!
Kenworth W900 is the best! They're kind of like the old Peterbilt 379's, but sit higher.

Been driving it for a little over a year now and i really love it, my boss offered me a brand new Icon900 and i refused it, im like nah i'll keep mine.

Nice floating, smooth. Question, first 4 gears do you leave them in lo or hi? I dont see you splitting them so hope question makes sense.
they are in low, sometimes i'll switch 4th to hi before switching to the upper level, depending on how heavy i am and if i'm climbing a hill :)

Driving a truck is dream come true, but waiting to load or unload it`s a nightmare, es horrible

mane nice driving maybe next time we see you drive with a loaded trailer and speaking about trailers how hard it is coupling to a trailer perfectly on the first try? and how hard it is to back to a dock perfectly on the first try? cuz they be showing how truckers be backing their tailers to the docks and it be taking them forever to do so and i be saying to myself that's too much patience how can y'all do it whitout getting aggravated as hell?

coupling to a trailer is pretty easy..just drop your airbags and slide under the kingpin then roll up your landing gear and pull your trailer brakes and pull forward to make sure shes locked in and also visually inspect for connection...dock loading and unloading takes awhile to get used to and you never really master all of them mostly they're all different.....Me: 2008 Kenworth 475 hp turned up to 550hp Cat 18 spd eaton fuller
How do you remember 18 shifting how is this possible where did you learn to drive it? It's difficult to ride this Kenworth thumbs up for you

OK. After seeing the 'Driving out of Philedelphia' video, I was wondering why your camera was stating the speed in 'kmh' and not 'mph' or even 'kph'. Having seen this video with all the 'Arret' signs, I realised you were from Canada. When I saw you drive across that monster bridge, I did wonder if that was the St Lawrence you were crossing. Checked where Lasalle was and it seems I was right with that guess. Thanks for the vid and 'Bonne route' RubberDuck.
Nice an quiet in there,.and looking cool 😄 ,but for real,I would've had to have my rock music playing in the video..and used my arm rest so non truckers would know we have them captain chairs..the only real negative I saw is when you mashed in the air valve soo hard.. doing that alot can cause a leak,,an their aggravated to replace,,an if they go out during driving will put a truck on the side of the road ✌️
I always listen to music and podcasts in there except when i film because of copyrights, i've done it before and youtube mutes the video

Quick question, where did you get those toggle switches from? The ones that turn the lights on
at the local chrome shop, they are made for Internationnal trucks but with a little trimming they fit the kenworth :) Hope that helps!
