I don't understand how they don't know the dump bed is raised.
Too dam lazy an distracted period
As someone who has driven a truck for years, I cant imagine how unstable that has to feel and how absolutely numb to everything someone has to be to not notice it while driving.
Nothin lazy bout it. Just ignorant. Should never been driving a damn truck. Mirrors are there for a reason
@@Bob-kw07gshouldn't have even needed mirrors to know it was up. The feel of the truck wobbling and the wind resistance should have been enough to the this brain dead driver something was wrong.
There has to be a warning light or something on the dash board…
I am a retired truck mechanic and I drove dump trucks and any driver that has ever tried to move a truck with the pto engaged will notice that the transmission acts like it is in a bind, so I have always wondered myself how this can happen going down the road, maybe the driver is not paying very good attention.
You don't notice a bind on an automatic transmission however if you check your mirrors like you should then you should notice something ain't right 😂😂😂
Some trucks disengage the pto at a certain engine rpm so that might have been the case here. They are supposed to have bed up alarms but I doubt it was working on that truck.
@@JasonTate86 Yes Jason I agree about the trucks with automatic TRANSMISSIONS and a lot more trucks have them now and a lot of young driver's can't drive standard TRANSMISSIONS. I have a friend that him and his family had a fuel and oil business and they had CDL driver's and he had one a few years ago that had an endorsement on his CDL automatic only.
@@danhuttinger5040 Yep. Just imagine trusting someone who isn't competent enough to shift a truck chaining and hauling coils on the same roads as your family. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@JasonTate86 Yes Jason we are on the same wavelength I have been saying that same thing for many years I mechanicd on trucks and heavy equipment for close to 55 years and I was around a lot of driver's some were really good and some were really bad. I am 75 years old and retired now good talking with you.
Was anyone trying to get the driver’s attention? If they were so zoned out as to miss the raised bin, would honking have made any difference?
Cons of minding their own business
That woke the driver up I bet….
Don’t stop driving now buddy … your mpg just went up considerably
That pto would be screaming
I'm surprised nobody honks and warns the driver.
Because everyone is quadruple vaxx like brainwashed sheep's. Perfect example of people who are asleep.
Could you tell that nobody honked?? I'd guess that some drivers did.
Wouldn't make such a good video if they stopped him to report the raised bed
dump truck drivers are like refrigerators, when you close the door, the lights go off
Sounds like you have had some idiot dumptruckdrivers ??
They ain't the only ones. 70% of the country is like that now.
Why doesn´t anybody invent a tool saying: `You can´t drive as long as your fucking dump truck body is still in the air!´ ?
Because they raise it, then pull forward to dump out the load. Otherwise the load will just form a pile that will then stop the rest from coming out.
Good idea , make the max speed limit 10mph with bed up. Seems simple in today’s tech world.
Can't see the cab after the accident! Did the cab separate and the driver kept driving?
0:43, you can see him in the far left stopped.
It was the ex f1 driver mazepin, waiting for the start of the drag reduction zone.
Probably on the damn phone!
I was trying to figure out what that weird looking red vehicle was beside the truck. Wasn't until the other one on the right came past I realised.
Someone said how does this happen. Because drivers license are handed out to any one. I work construction. It's amazing to see some of the people driving trucks.
2 days 8hrs n a classroom 8 hrs driving an they guarantee u pass cdl test an this is why crap like this happens.
Not the first stupid driver with a dump trailer. Several years ago, a similar event on I-16 in Georgia moved the roadway of an overpass about 6 feet and closed that road until the overpass could be rebuilt. The driver did NOT have a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and was prosecuted on several charges. He was probably lucky that they did not hand him over to the locals: the overpass handled 200-300 cars a day and the long way around was some 50+ miles.
If the driver is NOT aware of the difference in the way the truck handles with the bed up, he is probably too zoned out on something to have noticed people honking their horns.
Shifting is harder with PTO on, how are these people allowed to drive?
Kudos the the driver with the dashcam. They saw the approaching disaster and slowed down to avoid being part of it.
I thought the flatbed driver was going to cut him off just in time.
I'll bet his neck is a few inches longer now......lmao
Where were the f________ trucker's brains??????!!!!!!
Those are not required now days!
Subscribed 😊
I'm convinced these wagons do this shit on purpose. Too many happening recently. How tf do you not know...
👀 How does this happen???
And now they should bill the driver for the repair to the overpass... He can sign over his paychecks for the next 50 years....
Hey th driver knew because th owner ask him to pretend th bed ws bad $$$$$ expensive to fixed so whts th best way I seen tht many
Drugs and/or alcohol involved.
How did the truck driver not know and, even after it hit the overpass so hard, why did no one stop to see if the truck driver was okay?
Wonder if he still has a job lol
Nope
He doesn't have a truck either.................
Shave and a haircut, two bits.
Maybe he needs a rear view mirror inside the cab !
When did this happen?
What happened to the 'donor' truck post-accident ?
Should be a limiter that only allows very low speeds when the bed is raised.
@merwindor--Probably, on modern trucks, with computerized systems and diagnostics, there is. This truck looks like it could be quite old.
Is it a dumb truck driver oder a dump truck driver ?😂😂😂
Kaching.
3rd world drivers, driving like they’re in a 3rd world country.
Take your western arrogance and shove it where the sun don't shine.
biden voter!
