If you are in Dallas I highly recommend Terry Black’s Barbecue in Deep Ellum! It is from Lockhart, TX which is the barbecue capital. It is worth the stop!
I lived in Old Town, and made several trips a week to Chili's. When they were bought out Chili's lost the flavor of their hamburgers and soft tacos. It's the only place I played tennis when it was 104 degrees.
New Subscriber over here! This video has got me soooo excited, for our August vacation to Texas And of course you have to see The Rangers! Y’all definitely gave me some new places to check out!
Great city guide. I will be in Dallas for 9 days in October attending the opera and symphony. If anyone know where to get the Best Brisket please let me know!
You guys didn’t go to Deep Ellum? It’s the coolest neighborhood in Dallas! Also, in Fort Worth there is the beautiful Forth Worth Water Gardens. Def a must see
I went to Austin for the first time ever 2 months ago and maybe I go visit Dallas for the first time too, but I was wondering if it will be more fun or less fun or will it have a different vibe overall. What’s your perspective?
We prefer Austin over Dallas personally. In Dallas things are pretty far apart, whereas in Austin things are generally closer together. But both are unique cities with their own distinct offerings.
I’m going to Dallas around Christmas. I am a little worried there might not be a lot to do there compared to some of the other cities I’ve visited, like New York, Boston, Miami, San Diego, Philly, but I’m sure I’ll find something
@@danmej7770 Yeah no as someone who lives in dallas and has been to fort worth and arlington thousands of times there is plenty to do you just gotta find the right spots
"Locals" tip: Go to Dallas and Dealey Plaza/Sixth Floor Museum. Spend maybe 2 hours there.... Then go to Fort Worth and spend the other 46 hours. Your Welcome.
You mentioned the little parks in downtown Dallas. About 20 years ago, the city wasted about a million dollars on a study asking why people don’t spend time outside in the downtown area. Obvious answer - it’s hot…several days of 104 to 107 in July, 2022. And it’s cold in winter. We actually get more wind than the “Windy City / Chicago. Cold plus wind means it’s uncomfortable outside.
"Locals" tip: Go to Dallas and Dealey Plaza/Sixth Floor Museum. Spend maybe 2 hours there.... Then go to Fort Worth and spend the other 46 hours. Your Welcome.

Hey! I just watched y'all video for the first time. I really enjoyed y'all video, adventure and informative. Thank you for staying away from the typical "Top Ten..." style. I'm a travel vlogger and been filming outside my country (THE US). I was struggling on feeling inspired in what to film in Dallas and what to show. Y'all video really inspired and I appreciate that. I didn't know it would be difficult to film my own country. I definitely am like & subscribing!
I'm noticing in a lot of your shots, it seemed quite empty of locals except for your fort worth gun fight shots. I just came back from Dallas and it felt empty. I thought it was the February winter causing the lack of people. What were your overall thoughts on the locals and the energy they add or don't add to the city's energy?
Good question! We had filmed most of this during the weekday, so we figured the lack of people on the street must have been because people were at work. During the time we were at the Fort Worth gun fight, it was a weekend, so we definitely noticed a lot more people out. I think during the middle of the week it is just dead outside!
OH NOOO YOU GUYS MISSED SOMETHING REALLY NICE!!!. AT MAGNOLIAS SOUS LE PON YOU GRAB THE ELEVATOR TO THE TOP FLOOR AND THERES A BEAUTIFULL GARDEN ITS A MUST
So I want to ask a Texan their honest opinion of how life is like in Dallas, Houston, and Austin because I’m very interested in moving out there to be near family. There just seems to be many positives in each city that it’s so hard to choose. I’ll definitely be visiting just not sure which one first.
When we were considering moving to texas we felt the same way! Each city is so distinctly unique. After visiting the big ones, we'd have to say San Antonio would be the best fit for us. There's plenty to do and we loved the river walk!
You can get some of the same things in all of the places. The difference would be the community that comes from the people. I am always between San Antonio and Houston. Houston is large but the way people make you feel and the way Houstonians come together. It would be the place for me
D/FW's parking lot is full. Move along. Go to Houston. You'll love the odor of sweat, and burnt cordite gunpowder. Hope you like petrochemicals, and humidity.
Thanks for the video. Dallas and the state of Texas in general, “good” economy but nothing really special for entertainment (other than sports). Plazas, eateries, parks that you can find in any other state/city in the US. In my opinion San Antonio may offer something more unique. Assuming these are the top things to do in this city is not bad, but Dallas looks very average. Did you miss something?
San Antonio is on our list for upcoming trips! I think it will be more our style. I'm sure there are more interesting things to do in Dallas, but we need more time! With it being so big, it's a little difficult to get your bearings.
@@TouristtoLocal The Cultural District / W7th area is good food, drinks, museums, shopping.
