    I don’t think any type can outshine another, every type has their own unique beauty that cannot be compared in my opinion. And it all depends on personal taste.

    2:50 Absolutely yes! I took a basic white tshirt and when I tried it, I looked like a disaster. The edges of the tshirt had a white tiny cutie little lace I didn't even were aware of, but they clashed against my bones like a truck 😂

    I’ve been following your channel for a while now and appreciate your insights and content greatly!💕 Your analysis of photo examples (FN wearing SD) and discussion of proportions (shoes, bags, sleeve examples) are so helpful!
    I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a video discussing the types of style for Flamboyant Natural! Boho is not true to me and would appreciate resources or examples for Flamboyant Natural that showcase the other possibilities within this type. Something that includes a couple examples for dressing up and down for the each (categories you mentioned classic, boho, vintage etc.) for the FN would be exceptional!
    Thank you once again for the valuable content you work so hard to share!
    Your gentle yet powerful demeanor is magnificent~ ✨

    Your videos are always so helpful! I usually watched you talking about colour theory, and I watched so many other youtubers about body type. And I always struggle to know what exactly body type I am. But now, I watched this video once and I am finnaly sure and have more understanding in this theory then ever before!

    I’d disagree that FNs can’t wear small items, but you do need to “trick” the eye. Jewelry, v-necks, bold shoes, etc can help make us look less imposing. Long wavy hair and boyfriend jeans are other tricks I like

      I just discovered Kibbe, I'm a FN/D mix, always tried to "balance" my shoulders to the point of self abuse. Now I have decided to rock the weird broad shoulder, long arms boy hip combo. Those who don't like broad, bony shoulders, get out of my way. 😂

      @@dianathomas2674 loool welcome, my big soldier sister. I read that we can’t hide our shoulders so we should flaunt them. Wear shirts with bold necklines to give ourselves that sensual power.
      I guess what “triggered” me is that I’m tired of people telling us to wear potato sacks while everyone else gets to be cute haha

    So I have been confused about my body because it doesn't match my face. But okay. Anyways when I took fashion studies at uni we had a class where we were supoosed to sketch something for our body basically sketching our "lines" and I remember when I started with the shoulders I immediately drew a long horizontal line and a long vertical line with a vertical "S" outline for the body amd I realised my shoulders give me out, too square for a soft dramatic and I am way too tall (5'8.5) for a romantic or classic. My legs are short but my ribcage is wide. And I think this is the case of many FN. Square shoulders and hips and the height.

      I hear you. The other commenter is right. It’s good to know your face for overall look (don’t pair a Smokey eye and black lipstick with a cottage core dress haha) but for kibble focus on your body.
      With the short legs, are you sure you’re not dramatic classic?

    Is it possible for FN to need waist definition when they gain weight primarily in the hips?

    • @FilosoFashion
      @FilosoFashion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      as you gain weight the waist can become more square

    i'm small (1m 63 cm), but i look taller and athletic. However if i was taller i would be flamboyant natural, for sure. Maybe i'm a gamine? (i look awefull in those lines)...

      Most likely you are a mixed type (by Dwyn Larson), which means you could be a mix of 2 or more Kibbe types where the dominance is Flamboyant Natural. You could check out something like this: filosofashion.com/dramatic-gamine-body-type-sarah-jessica-parker/

    Can anyone help type me? I'm 175cm tall, I have large breasts which are equal in measurement to my shoulders and hips. My waist is about 28cm smaller. My hands and feet are wide and big. I gain weight evenly and the difference between my waist and hips/bust always stays proportional.
    I have hip dips and my waist is high. I don't look good in belts but I do like having clothes that are cut to go in and out at the waist. I also don't look good in things that are loose. They make me look pregnant. I look terrible in untidy looks. Long dresses can make me look shorter than I am. Frumpy.
    I don't think I look exotic at all. My features are bluntish and my lips aren't thick or thin. My nose is my least favourite feature because my nostrils are a bit big but my actual nose isn't big or small. My eyes are medium.
    I feel like I prefer classic looks on me. When I wear shorts, they have to be denim or another stiff fabric. Flowy fabrics don't work. When I wear clothes with a very busy print, I feel like I disappear. I either have to have a very simple shape with a muted or classic print like strips or dots or biggish florals in one or two colours. If I wear more layers or complicated shapes then the colour has to be neutrals.

      Dramatic classic? 🤔

    • @charitadeknegt6661
      @charitadeknegt6661 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Julie me. We have a lot of similarities in our body type and measurments and I've been typed professionaly as a FN. I think the idea that all FN's look like supermodels with broad shoulders, narrower hips and small boobs is a bit misleading and makes this body type misunderstood often. To me, the 13 (now 10) Kibbe body types are archetypes and there is 1 which is most suitable. However, I think you can be like a prototype FN, or you can lean towards another body type. We both have a certain balance in our figure and face and I think it gives a tendency towards classic. So still apply most advice for FN, but don't apply it in extremes. Clothes that give some room and movement are great, but it should loosely follow your figure. A head-to-toe tight outfit is probably not your best, neither a head-to-toe oversized outfit is. Next to that, you should consider your essence. My essence is ethereal, this is why I can easily wear shiny and glittery things althoug I'm FN. Uma Thurman is a famous example of a FN with an ethereal essence. She looks great soft and floaty dresses, and not so well in too stiff, well-tailored clothes.

      Well definitely dramatic, just one thing that doesn't blend in is that you don't look good in long dresses which you should. But overall dramatic, you don't fit into any other body type. It's also possible that you are subjective and don't know what suits you very well so you should ask others, but with that hight you can't be anything but dramatic or natural.
