As a beginner quilter I went nuts watching another video that did not show how the half triangles in the middle of each side come to be, thank you for clearly showing how this all gets sewn together to create the pattern.

I made card trick quilt few months ago and it was difficult one to make it. I tried to follow many patterns, youtube tutorials and i still was not making perfect one yet. But after watching your video on how to make card trick quilt block I made one without any flaws. I am so greateful for your great tutorial. Thank you very much. I am inspired now.

Thank-you. This is a block that inspired me to learn quilting, I still didn't know how, 3 quilt tops later. I have seen the "easy" version on Missouri quilters, I did still want to try the traditional block first though. You made it work, I am glad that you showed even your mistakes, because this is a complex block. So I know now, that success depends on doing all of the steps you demonstrated. Thank-you for taking the time to show us the real block, in all it's intricacies. I will be doing this method. In a way it is good, that I have done some quilt blocks already, so I won't be tearing my hair out over this. Thanks again. Beautifully done.

I, too, make a trial block and the starting scrap fabric to start sewing and end. Really recommend though using starch and letting dry before cutting. Great video, good job.

Curious. Why do you recommend using starch. I understand why letting it dry prior to sewing, but is there a reason for using it?
