Funny, I actually never killed this enemy in all my playthroughs, the sole sight of it annoyed me so much I just ignored it not even curious if it dropped something, well done me.
I just tried killing them with Discus of Light (Holy damage ) 6 times . They still respawn . However, I just found out that we don't have to kill them 20 times, but only to trigger them to appear and disappear around 20 times, then they will stop respawning LOL .
yes, Limgrave, Weeping Peninsula, Liurnia of the Lakes, Altus Plateau were good. but Caelid, Mountaintops of the Giants, Consecrated Snowfield just lazy lol.
Can’t really blame them though. This is one of the most content filled games I’ve ever played.. no micro transactions.. came out completely finished without serious bugs etc.. feel like we can throw them a bone here lol
@@dangwood91887untrue, the pressed 1.0 version is notoriously unfinished. With a lot of chest that contain absolutely nothing, unfinished descriptions and missing weapons and armor
Summarizes the last 1/3 of the game tbh. Reused, reskinned and shoehorned enemies in an otherwise empty area to make things harder than they needed to be. Really lame.
yea, the 1st half of the game was well made. I enjoy Limgrave, Liurnia, Liurnia, and Leyndell. But Mountaintops, Snowfield, and most of Caelid feels like they were just filling those huge areas with reused enemies.
This is a great, thorough analysis of this rare enemy's unique mechanics! I wonder if a weapon art using the Rune of Death could possibly kill the phantom Dragonkin Soldiers as a special event in the game, based on the rune killing souls in the story.
There is only one death root in that area. At Grand Lift of Rold, activate (hoist secret medallion) . After opening the gates, make your way up the 1st set of stairs in the main hall . There should b a broken section of railing to your left . Jump down to the invisible walkway from there . Make your way down, kill the Mimic Boss . The Deathroot is inside a chest at the back .
I will never understand design decisions like this one in Elden Ring. 99.9% of players will just run past it, so what's the point? Same with some of the repeat overworld bosses. They're annoying and skippable so like....bye lol
Nothing worth in any of the spawn points. I cleared all of the spawn points including the ones in the snowstorm, just to look around. Found 3 rimed rowas a beetle to fill flask, albinauric archer shooting at your face and runebears
I hope there is one secret and genius way to stop these assholes from spawning. Still, most likely they are just here as "difficulty tweaks" as the weather and similar. Damn, Yui Tanimura tried hardest to make this game even shittier that DS2
They keep spawning in the normal areas of the snowfield for me and its annoying because i cant fight the night bosess or the npc invasions there as they wont stop spawning.
I got jumped by four of them just now and somethings making me they could be just a jumpscare on top of not real being able to see them there’s a constant blizzard on my map 😫🫨 and another part of me keeps thinking back on what Miyazaki San said about there being things that players still to this day haven’t discovered so that’s why I think we’re trying to find the source to these spirits I feel like this map is hiding something and now on the dlc we have gestures that give us access to secret locations 🤯what if that was always a thing and we just didn’t notice yet
My question is, How are you even able to see the giants at all, why is there no snow storm for you? I cant ever see shit when I'm in the moutaintops, so I never really bothered exploring any of it since It's mostly just a giant blind gank fest of things murdering me constantly that I can't even see. So I said, FUCK this place, and moved on.
Maybe your gamma is set too high trying to avoid using a torch/lantern in caves? There should be no reason you can't see in the mountaintops. I understand the consecrated snowfields, but not the mountain tops. Dunno if you ever figured it out, just saw no one had replied to you yet. Edit: Also, there's no snow storm on the outskirts of the snowfield, around that part.
Elden Ring lives and dies on its artistry. Unfortunately the consecrated snowfields have very little art to offer. After the first playthrough I don't care about exploring the area for a second time, I just rush through it, get the items I want and get out.
Those aren't the giant skeletons, they're dragonkin and they always respawn no matter what. There's no known way to kill these unlike the skeletons in which you kill the boss that looks like someone on a boat and the skeletons die. Tl:dr The giant skeletons shoot lasers and not the ghost dragonkin
The mountaintops of the giants and Consacrated Snowfield are the worst areas in ER and a big nosedive in quality...I bet Tanimura (DS2 director and ER codirector) is behind their abysmal design.
The only time these guys really really annoyed me was in my fight with the duo night cavalries I mean i spent 15 minutes killing the first without agroing the second then when I was beating the second’s ass that guy respawned and killed me I mean what the fuck
They hit hard but are soft. I hit one 3 times then he disappeared…Like a bitch ha ha but they interrupted me killing the nights Calvary many times and I was very frustrated cause I was destroying the nights Calvary duo
Bored and making my way through the comments. In case you haven't found out yet, you're lucky I saw this comment of yours. The armor piece is the unaltered ver. of the Banished Knight Armor set. You can get this piece at Castle Sol. It's moderately hard to get but easy to farm. If you want to get it, read this last part and follow the steps. Teleport to 'Castle Sol Rooftop' and head back down the stairs. From there, go to the elevator that's located to the right and jump down (don't take the elevator, just jump down). Head right and past the bridge. You will see two white wolves and a Banished Knight with a halberd. You'll want to keep repeating these steps until you get it as he's one of the only ones that drops it and the easiest to farm. Good luck!
I’ll be honest, I like the idea of a ghost Dragonkin, but the fact that there’s absolutely no rewards for killing it makes it incredibly lame.
so ture
Applies to 99% of Elden Ring overworld mini-bosses really, just look at all the Runebears dropping nothing unique.
Man, they can even respawn which is the worst, getting invaded in this area is a huge headache.

The entire snowfield area seems like a throwaway they could have just saved for the DLC
I would be so pissed if I had to buy dlc to get this shit area. This is genuinely one of the worst areas they’ve ever made.

Actually no. You have to kill them like 15 times each, then they will stop spawning just like every non-boss enemy in the game.
