- ELDEN Ring is a huge game with so many places to explore and discover. It is also incredibly easy to miss some of the coolest spots. Here are some off the beaten path locations that you may have missed during your time in The Lands Between.
Ps. Some of the VO wonks out a bit. Don't worry. It's not you, it's me. Ever used that line before?

The cinqadea is actually the weapon malekith uses before he infuses it with destined death in his 2nd phase
Second phase is a whole another weaon
Watching this makes me feel like a true adventurer. It took me 125 hours to finish my first playthrough cause I kept exploring. I found most these places cause my dumb ass was like, ooh shiney, what’s that.
This makes me really happy.
Exactly what I'm going through 😂
Sheeit, I’m at 130 hours and have barely even touched the main stuff. Haha. I’m obsessed with this game!!
It took me 152+ hours to find out Jarburg (peaceful jardude village in Lirunia) even existed I only found out because of that update that added Jar Barins sidequest.
There is a kinda hidden out of the way section in Farum Azula with it's second Crucible Knight that took me over 220 hours to learn existed and find as well.
The hidden super golem that shoots laser beams in Calid I found after 100+ hours, got my ass beat and ran away and only went back to fight him 300 hours later.
Took 400 hrs before I put it down years ago. I just beat DS3 for the second time and I’m about to start a new ER play through for the dlc. These games are amazing
After my first Radahn fight I immediately started searching for secrets cause it's just too big of an area to not to hide something.
You are much smarter than I was.
I actually found most of these just by exploring a lot and being curious. I take my time alot with this type of games.
It makes you think about what it took to make such a game. It’s really incredible.
The scope of their vision is incredible.
You can now skip invading 3 players for Vare’s quest by invading an ingame npc called magnus the beast claw in wirthblood ruins in Altus Platu. Bye bye invasion 😂🎉
Oh no way! So that counts towards completing his quest then? I’m assuming so people who don’t have internet can complete it.
Yes. As of patch 1.06 they addressed this. After defeating the invader in Altus you can continue Vare’s quest. No need for internet to invade.
To add, you need to die two times, then the 3rd time you can kill him or not. Just as long as you use the 3 fingers.
You missed a couple things at the Chapel of Anticipation (#5 in your video). Run back to the starting church and go through the door that was previously locked and you will get the Stormhawk King, which you need to give to Nepheli Loux to complete her quest (and get two ancient dragon smithing stones) as well as the stormhawk deeh ashes. Also, you can go to the maiden in that church to get the bloody cloth of a maiden for Varre's quest, which is much faster than going to Vyke's Church.
You know what is worse? (launch Patch, by the way) I killed Radahn, after a lot of attempts, then i went on exploring the WHOLE ARENA, which is HUGE. And didnt find the secret dungeon. And when i finished the game, then i went online to see everything that i missed... When i saw that there is a dungeon in Radahn's arena, i flipped.
Oh geez.
You forgot about Auriza hero tomb, I discovered it after 220ish hours by mistake when I went to buy boiled crab from Blackguard (2 weapons, 2 armor set and one spirit ash is not bad)
What armour set
Tree sentinel armor set because you destroy the chariot
Crucible axe armor set for defeating the boss(take care when entering, there are two crucible knighs)
That isn't hard to miss except you don't explore :'c
I'm at the 165 hour mark and just finished Nokron, Nocstella, Ansiel. Just got into Leyndell and Deeproot. And yesterday I FINALLY got the Tiche summons. I'm a battle mage build, but succumbed to learning to dance with the Tiche :). I've been rune farming A LOT.
Big.
I am on NG 3.......I missed these all, motivated to get back at it. I took a break and beat bloodborne for the first time. Ready to get back to Elden Ring!
Glad I could help!
There are a bunch of secret areas in Farum Azula. They're hard to find because FA is difficult to traverse, so people give up on looking for them.
Finally a Tarnished with proper drip
Ha. Fashion souls. I'm trying to change up my swag every video.
I explored so much that I discovered all of this in my first playthrough
If you want to progress varre's questline offline/faster, you can just do the volcano manor lady questline which involves invades npc's world. You can just invade and lose 3 times and come back to varre to continue his questline. This will complete his quest and get to mogh before getting into Ariandel. But be careful, this will most likely gives you hard times in the mogh's palace or fighting mogh. Because you may still underlevel to get to there. Believe me, the mobs are tough. And Mogh might be kinda bs. It took me a LOT of tries and rune arcs and I'm still losing. But with a mimic tear it's not even 1 minute to beat him and he doesn't even have time to transition to phase 2.
Thank you for the video. I'm currently on my first elden ring playthrough. I'm currently at Anor Leyndel. I will backtrack to get the items you have shown.
I am 20 hours in an only beat the first 2 mains and now I’m just exploring I can’t believe I used to hate souls games this is the game that made me love it
For Varre's quest, you don't have to invade others. For those who don't like to play online there is a possibility to invade an NPC in the Writheblood Ruins in the NW of the Altus plateau. In the northeastern part of the ruins, Magnus the Beast Claw's invasion sign can be found. He can be defeated to progress White Mask Varré's questline without playing online. He drops the Great Stars great hammer. Now you can swing two of them if you like. 👍
the war dead catacombs is actually great if you like just fighting a shit load of Knights/soldiers. Its fun too that theyre fighting eachother. theres a little rot in there, but its not that much of an issue.
dying in the catacomb is one of the best experiences.
@@treasurewuji8740 I remember being totally thrown off by the boss, I was expecting some big knight or something, and nope- we get the giant angry pulsating cancer snake instead lol. At least I was leveled for it by then- unlike the one under stormveil when I was on my very first playthru.
When the game was first released this was a popular automated farming spot. Which they ended up patching out.
#5 has more to it:
Once you beat grafted scion to a pulp in vengeance-fueled rage, go explore the structure from which you started the playthrough. You can find a unique spirit ash (The Storm King's Ashes), which you hand in to our warrior mommy Nepheli to progress her quest.
2:18 the Riduvia blade got me through that putrid tree spirit. I also used the then nerf'd jelly fish to help in that fight
This is my first time really using it. It's a ton of fun to use.
True most people found these like I did. But I'm still glad to see you point these out for others. I thought I was super careful checking every nook for hidden swag but I almost finished my game without finding Jarburg and it blew my mind when someone told me about it.
To be fair, depending on when you played, Jarburg wasn't in the game at launch right?
@@BonfireBasics Always has been , just the quest in there wasn't in the vanilla state
Playing BG3 for my first play-through. It's been the first game I've played since Elden Ring that I can't stop playing for hours on end!
Thought it was awful tbh
@@Lothnar5070 Turn-based games aren't everyone's cup of tea...
Hidden in plain sight is a staple of fromsoft games. I found dark souls years ago collecting dust at gamestop, took it home and was immediately hooked. Realizing that the levels overlaped and looped was awesome. At first it just looks like a linear games background that is untraversable, wrong. The restrictions are further away than you think.
DS1 is a thing of pure beauty.
There is also a drop near the hard tree sentinel in Caelid. There is a painting recover item there for a bow ash of war and an extremely hard laser firing golem
That friGGIN LASEr GOLEM!!!!
I found most of this stuff on my first playthrough the only one i didnt was the dagger behind gurraq
A little bouns for tip#4 when you go the the dragon commun church in limgrave not all if the dragon abilities will be there. You have to go to the dragon cathedral in calid if you want every single ability available to you
Crucible knights are fun to parry. They also like to stomp after your successful riposte. It's like they really pissed off at you.
It’s important to get the storm hawk ash after killing the grafted scion at the chapel of anticipation so you can continue Nephilis quest
I knew about War-Dead catacombs before I ever fought Rahdan. At least, I knew there was a dungeon somewhere around there because of the skeletal beacon up on the cliff overlooking the dunes.
As soon as I beat him, I rode over and went inside. I quickly realized the mobs inside were about 8 times stronger than any other non-boss I’d fought up to that point.
I found the others before finishing my first playthrough because I’ve made about 12 different characters and have yet to finish the game 🙄
The likelihood that someone would find everything in this game on their own is slim. I explored every nook and cranny of the game, and out of the 145 - 175 hours it took me to do it on a new game, probably 25 percent of that was with a guide, be it for a cave, gaol, catacomb, shack location or where items that I wanted were. I don't play these games online, but I appreciate the community's efforts in mining everything. I like these games a lot, but it's crazy how quickly some people find these very elusive areas and items after launch which I don't believe I'd be able to do, like the wall that you can hit 50 times in Volcano Manor to open into a room, albeit one that leads to somewhere you've already been. I believe that that was patched though.
I didn't know until after 400+ hours you can go past the teleport seals on both ends of the bridge at raya lucaria academy. Cool stuff there if you haven't checked it out yet
The only one I didn't know was the Bestial Sanctun one, thanks.
Glad it helped!
Id also like to add that the area behind bestial sanctum was not there when the game 1st released, it was later added after the 1st major patch when they made minor changes to the hand drawn mao.
I spent 130 hours in my first playthrough, 80 in my second, and 30 in my third and I was still finding stuff. I just started a NG and only just found the perfumers grotto.
Thank you for the plain sight realizations lol i actually about a couple of these and i been playin since it first came out, i have over 230 hrs still on my first run through and still in the lymgrave/valcano area just bc im the type to find EVERYTHING and fight and kill EVERYTHING i need to along with leveling up all the way if need then proceed, i do wana beat the game but i also wana make sure all my areas are completely searched thoroughly and 💯 percent beat but thank you again for the info, i just now subscribed to you
6:35 How DARE you slander Boc in such a way!
Little monkey boy.
Im 700 hours in and still finding new items.
Boc slander? Woooooow taking it out on the little guy
Dudes kinda whiny.
Only one of these I haven't seen was actually the first one. But I explored like crazy and found all of the others in my first playthrough. It's a great game and im sure there are plenty of things I didn't find
Usually these videos just show me things that I have gotten lol, but that castle loot surprised me
Glad it helped!
I just watched this to confirm Ive been to it all
very well done video, us small youtubers gotta put in the work frfr ❤️
First time here. Cool idea for a video and many things here are new to me. Thx man
Of course! Glad it helped.
The birds in Stormveil can be handled fairly with the meteoric ore blade kitana
I played 300+ hours got platinum I still found new stuff 🎉❤
In the cliff part if you follow the path with the birds and bombs and drop into the Church, talk to Rogier and go back up to the cliff you will see messages left by him, they're hints of what to do. There are various messages.
At Rampart Tower you can run out the door and go left and shimmy along the edge. Lots of fun things on the roofs
never played with daggers, what are these equipped and ash of war? like for super fast strikes
You should also do the area at the bottom of the coneyor belt in Raya Lucarua. if you ride down it there is a really cool area
I knew them all, I am the Elden Lord!
Great video! I honestly had no idea about the area behind Guranq. I'll definitely be heading there now, lol.
As for the little side path in stormveil castle, I was convinced that was going to lead back to the beginning area during my first playthrough. Then when I finally checked the last bellfrey (it just happened to be the last one I checked), I realized the answer was much more simple, lol.
My first playthrough I accidentally skipped stormveil entirely until much later in the game. I didn't know you could just skip stuff like that.
For the War Dead catacombs there is a statue up top that when light shows a blue line going to it. That's how I found it.
I don’t think I’ll ever find something that I haven’t found already, maybe one video will show me something new but I’m waiting for dlc so I can explore EVERYTHING and obtain everything
Also, at mog's palace, it is a really easy way to get ancient dragon somber smithing stone +10!
Alle Tipps sind sehr richtig!
Great clip and well done!
Thank you from Germany 😊
Man you absolutely wreck those Crucible Knights
Found basically everything in first playthrough. The only things i didnt got on first playthrough were all weapon/armor drops the enemies could possibly drop.
Ran at night over the entire map for Deathbirds, Black Knights and the Shop Hunters (dont play on english language, so i dont really know the right english names)
LMAO walking around as props had me dyin you’re hilarious bro
:D
While I think your video may be helpful to some players, none of those areas are really difficult to find if you just explore the map, and do as many NPC quests as you can. I mean, I didn't have that hard of a time finding all of areas in your video. But it's nice you're pointing those things out to new players who may be unfamiliar with FROM Software's style of games --- those players are the ones that will benefit the most from this video.
Yup! I started making videos like this because of friends that I have who are overwhelmed by this game. I was having fun making these and just kinda kept going. Most people who have sunk hundreds of hours into this game will know most of these.
@@BonfireBasics that's pretty cool. The DLC will give you more work in a couple of months 😉 And yeah, I spent probably more than 500 hours exploring every nook and cranny in the game on my first playthrough, but I had a blast.
Honestly it’ll take 10 hours to explore 1 small area, you’ll find out more secrets if you just explore that’s all to this game
Did you explore the area after the Grafted Scion? You still missed stuff in this area.
It helps complete a quest concerning 3 characters with a great reward
Yeah I did. This point was just for revenge though. Cause screw that guy.
One thing to note about Varre's quest is that you need only to invade other players, you don't need to beat them. If you're offline or don't want to invade other people, there is a red summon sign in Writheblood Ruins, kill this NPC to continue the quest.
hold on a sec, Raddahn? At 50?! No wonder invaders a killing people with 400 HP at Leyendell!
How the fuck are you at 50 in Caelid?!
Do yall really just horse straight to bosses?!
I died a lot. Lost a lot of souls. It was a whole thing. I was a stubborn person then refusing to go level up.
@@BonfireBasics I did that a lot in othr souls games, But I also like to do All Bosses, so by the time I get to Godrick i'm 40.
I was fighting that big black thing at that beast sectum area and then I ran to this place 2:51 for my life while dodging I fell on the branch and waited till he left then out of shear curiosity I kept going down till I found a loot hahaha
What about the area to the right and under fatty in Mt Gelmore (not the area with the Magma wyrm)? There is a Somber 5 and a very small ledge to drop to just beside it
For Mogh's palace you can kill Magnus the beast claw in Altus plateau or die to him three times. You can progress Varrei's quest.
Sorry about spelling errors.
That Varre quest took me 10 mins lol
I did not know about the radahn one 😮
Awesome fight, the place is an awesome farming ground
6:03 this one is new to me
What weapon are you using on the left?
Yea seen all these. Only one I didn't find right away was under beastile sanctum
The dragon communion spells do NOT show up as you kill more dragons. You can only get the original 3 here.
There's also a third way to get to mohgwyn palace by killing Magnus the beastclaw.
Deeproot deaths hidden wall entrance from Flame of prescription bonfire.
you missed something in the #5 starter battle island. try to find a door which was previously closed.
Great video
No Jarburgh? I think that is the most missable place in the lands between
How do i boost the damage of my incantations and ashes of war????
no mention of the Limgrave Alabaster Lord that drops the Gravitas Ash of war ?
I’m still finding graces, ashes of war ,cookbooks ,talismans after 250 hours in the game
I love that! I am as well. This game rules.
What set do you have on?
What’s the timestamp?
There is a better farm spot in mohgs area. Its a glitch tho which some ppl have a problem with
The mage in the sewers was new to me
I got the dragon crest tali but i know i didnt search behind that place so idk how i got it xD
Pretty neat how I organically found all of these EXCEPT THE FIRST ONE?? WHADDAYA MEAN THEY PUT A CATACOM INSIDE THE BOSS ARENA??
Farum azula the dragon with low health you fight has a secret passage behind him
I was NG5 before I found Jarburg
wow hasnt seen war dead cats until ng 3, you fly through the game huh?
It's incredible that you didn't mention the secret boss which is a dragon... I hope you know what I'm talking about... no spoiler that's all

What build is this ??
You missed an enemy at the end of the path as well
in my like 600 hours of Elden Ring I think I've been to the Belfreys once and up until now I didn't know what they did lmao.
Found all of these on my first playthrough what 2 years ago or however long its been now lol. Was hoping someone a dually found secret locations not widely known places already with a click bate title
I am doing 100% walkthrough, and use interactive map that will solve most of your problems
6/4😎
me who did it all on my first playthrough 💀💀
Fist play through 87 hours
I knew them all and I'm sad :(
I'll never understand why people teabag everything. They teabag other players and they also teabag.... bosses!? Like... what!? Why? And record and show it on yt.
Yea it's odd, especially on bosses and pve enemies??? it's pretty cringe
Because the boss or the other player has been beaten. This is back from BO1
@@rodrigovidalperez4301black ops 1? U mean halo 2?
My biggest recommendation for the DLC would be do not use these guides until at least you finish the game first. no offense to the person that made this video but I relied heavily on such guides and it kind of spoiled the game for me. Now I know every square inch of this game, have tried every build repeatedly. Now I've gotten to the point I know every place I need to go and everything I need to do for whatever build I choose to make. It sucks when there's no mystery left to be solved no more wonders to be discovered . I find myself just getting bored going through the motions.
I agree. I am always in favor of going into games blind. If people need a little help or just a little hint, that's why people like me are here :)
