It's like this guy actually hasn't played the game and he's just explaining what he sees in the video if you look at the weapon art for the Crag blade it coats it in Earth and increases its damage but I think about 10%. Yeah the weapon art can hit the enemy but just barely cuz it's a tiny attack and not for much damage and using it to try to dodge an attack is completely pointless you're better off just rolling and then attacking the enemy instead of using it as a Dodge

Something worth mentioning, the halo scythe can also be farmed in the same area as the cleanrot spear. So you might as well kill the ones with the scythe while farming the spear
I don't know what the drop rate is but I will say that it took me much, much longer to get a Halo Scythe drop than a Spear. And yes the Halo Scythe is cool, perfect to power stance with the Winged Scythe for double holy scythe good times
Yep, that's one of the many locations where I got one of these halberds. I was farming for the golem greatbow there and got probably 3 or so halberds in the process (the lift has a halberd and greatbow golem by it in close proximity to a SoG, making it a solid farming spot for both weapons)
My favorite place for farming clean rott stuff is actually the hidden grave in the field you fight Radaan in. The ghosts fight themselves and the clean rot knights actually drop something. From Trina's lily to swords, spears and the whole armor set. It's also a fun place. I kind of have the impression the complete clean rot set does not trigger rot build up when you roll in rot with it
I got The Noble's Estoc the first time I attacked The Chariot going through Limgrave. I was amazed when I found out it's drop rate was so low. I remember thinking it was one of those weapons everyone had because it dropped off such a low level enemy.
I think one weapon which also deserves to be on this is the Envoy's Greathorn. It has a 2% Dropchance and can only be farmed by killing the Giant Oracle Envoy in Miquella's Haligtree... which just oneshots you if he hits you correctly. Also every single one of them is either protected by scarlet rot flowers, ants which oneshot you or multiple smaller Oracle Envoys which also do high damage. So yeah, have fun farming for that if you are interested lmao
@@ChrisBean-wy9us If you farm New Game +0 yeah, if you are on New Game +5 like I was to that time then definitely no, they just destroy ur ass. I still have the same build and I had 70-80 vigor and a mid-heavy armor
the cleanrot spear is easier to farm from the knight outside the prayer room in the Haligtree. its just a couple of steps away from the site of grace and drops quite a lot more runes so you can rune farm at the same time
well, by the time you're at the haligtree killing one single enemy for runes won't do you much in a short time. You'll farm more runes just by wiping out the first small area of Elphael
I would add the Envoy´s greathorn, that one was the most tedious farming session I had beside the imp elder headpiece. Rare drop from the giant envoys of which there´s like 2 or 3 in the whole game, in the Haligtree of all places.
I got it first time, didn't even know that it was rare. The irony is that I didn't want that version but the medium one 😑 I ended up farming for an hour before I could get one 🤣 That's stupid
Something kinda funny, I actually got an Envoy's Greathorn completely on accident/unintentionally on my first Large Oracle kill at the Haligtree, or in Leyndell.
I'm extremely surprised that the Celebrant's Sickle wasn't on this list, it's just as rare as the Rib-Rake and by FAR the weapon that took me the longest to farm
@@chrisbitt9870 There are actually 4 Celebrant weapons. The Skull is a Great Hammer and comes from a corpse on a cliff in that area. The Cleaver (Axe), Sickle (dagger) and Rib-Rake (Spear) all drop from those Celebrants. All of these weapons grant Runes on each successful hit. The Skull grant 20 Runes per hit, all the others grant 10 per hit. This number does not change with stats or leveling up the weapon. The Rib-Rake is actually the most common drop because more of them in the area wield it, even though they are all a 0.5% drop chance.
I actually got the Magma Sword and Envoy's Long Horn 1st try in a single (first) playthrough. It wasn't until much later that I realized how ridiculously lucky I was...
FYI, the caravan you suggested farming for the noble's slender sword is the same place I farmed the noble's estoc, so you can stick to the one location to get both and hopefully save some time. That's what I did and it only took me 3 or 4 hours to get two of each (because dual-wielding is great)
The exact reverse can also be said. Farming the location for the Noble Estoc can reward you with the Noble Slender Sword. I personally was only after 1 Noble Estoc since I already had 1. I found farming the Noble Estoc location since its only 3 enemies made it quicker than dealing with the caravan. Fewer enemies made for faster kills/loot/respawn. I ended up finding 7 Noble Slender Swords, which I already had 2 of before finally getting the Noble Estoc I was ultimately after to drop. Go figure.
@@lythairyn Late response, but I just farmed several hours and got 5 estocs before a single slender sword. Ended up leaving and going to liurnia for the slender swords and got two of them in like 10 minutes. Thanks miyazaki.
The Nobel sword, it's best after the red wolf fight. Walk out of the library and follow the path left. There's a bunch of nobels up the stairs. I used it for my entire first playthrough and loved it.
There's a spot in caelid that has a bunch of nobles with the sword that can drop it with no enemies other than a giant that doesn't respawn after you kill it by a graveyard. I don't remember the graces name but it's right behind the Ezekiel white dragon close to the cliff
That's good place for these Nobles. In Raya Lucaria castle but in the courtyard, it's just that there's also 3 scholars ready to fling spells at you, those damn Glintstone Spells
A commenter on a Fextralife build guide suggested farming nobles slender sword from a grave site south of caelid southern highway site of grace. That's were I got mine in ~30mins just watch out for the noble closest to the cliff side who transforms into a troll.
The Warhawk's Talon from the birds near Rampart Tower in Stormveil Castle has a ~2% drop rate. It's a straight sword with a unique R2 with good stagger, short recovery, and decent range (for the weapon class). Actually a pretty solid weapon overall if you're willing to deal with the straight sword range since the R2 enables getting in and out quickly.
Im currently running second character and it randomly dropped from the first bird i fought in the castle, i was like - Huh.. So it drops something like this? I just now realize i got pretty lucky lol
Thanks for producing and posting this guide. I am pretty sure the drop rates on the Noble's Slender Sword & Estoc have vastly improved. I have 3 Slender Swords & an Estoc in my inventory and have never farmed for them. The Estoc & Sword drop from the entourage, following the caravan that goes by on the road after exiting the Wayward Ruins Site of Grace. The sword is also a fairly common drop from the patrol group to the north of Church of Vows. PS: For me the rarest weapon I have obtained is the Forked Greatsword, which stands a rare drop chance from any Stone Imp wielding it. I have Poisonous Mist AoW on mine and love it.
I'm surprised the Monk's Flameblade didn't make the list. The wiki lists it as having a 4% drop rate, but after hours of farming for it, I never managed to get one to drop. Add that it's only farmable from one enemy in one location (Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave where you get the Watchdog Greatsword), and it makes the grind so much worse.
Dude I was farming the fire monks and had all the armor except the hood and the monk I was farming had the mace but then I decided to go down the hall and try the other guy and got the sword first try with 21 arcane
@@abigcupofwater I need some of your luck lol. You know, the Mega Millions is over $1 billion at this point. You should buy a ticket, but if you win, you have to give me $1 million for suggesting it 🤣
Man these experiences were so amazing. This was one of the best games I've ever played. After platinuming the game, collecting virtually every ash of war and most every rare weapon, AND helping a friend get to 100pct there isn't much reason to play it anymore (pvp is broken) ....can't wait for DLC.
@@adeptusmechanicus1029 that’s simply not true. You choose how you spend your own time. I work 40 hours just like everyone else and still have 300+ hours on the game.
Well done , that’s some achievement. I live this game. Playing with two friends , at over 200 gaming hours. The hours add up quickly when you are fighting each boss 3 times. Only at about 35% of trophies , so a bit to go! Which is great , as I enjoy it so much.
interesting tip with farming the golem's weapons, do it at tower bridge with the 3 golems, they're attacks can friendly fire at each other, so you while you're tying to take 1 down, you can also bait the other 2 to friendly fire the golem you're killing by positioning it between you and the other 2 as their attacks can stun each other, opening a crit for you to deal
I didn't know the Golem Greatbow to be a rare weapon. I just normally went to the giant jar, died a few times, and got it eventually. Same with the Thorned Wip. I already have most of these. Only ones I missed are the Watchdog, Slender Sword, and Rib Rake.
How do you get to the giant jàŕ I'm asking because it's my first time playing I know the giant jar. Is in calìd can't get to it I've tried for hoursi its sò. far down
@@Andrew-cq7uz Sorry dude, I can't help you not because I don't want to but because I've already forgotten. It has been nearly a year and a half since I last played the game. Better to search here on YT or Google. I vaguely remember taking the elevator if I'm not mistaken. I could be completely wrong though.
@Andrew-cq7uz you gotta take the siofra well and then proceed to another lift that will take you up into caelid and from there you just follow the path up north past the golems to the large jar and coliseum
The noble estoc was the first weapon to drop for me on my first playthrough. I was super excited to not have to use the club anymore(i was a wretch), had no idea it was so rare.
Really appreciate videos like this. I've farmed the cleanrot knights for their set so it was awesome I got all their weapons but great to know there's plenty more out there Ive missed or haven't even used yet
Good video mate. You might've could've mentioned leveling up the Arcane stat to increase chances but I do appreciate the drop percentages info. Thumbs up 👍
Dunno if he 'forgot' exactly. I have 2 of every weapon in the game and never needed to go annoyingly change my stats just for better drop chances. the talisman and the helm, with sometimes using the foot made it plenty easy already.
I spent 2 days going after the magma blade and whip from those 3 man-serpents with no luck, then I looked up some things. First, you can only get the magma whip from a Volcano Manner contract. Secondly, I didn’t have the silver scarab, so once I got it, I scored 3 magma blades in less than 10 minutes.
Damn. I didn't know that about the whip. I worked that one lizard into my farming run for the magma sword. Haven't got the whip yet. Thankfully I got 2 of the swords (was fairly high arcane and using all those boosting items) in about an hour. Great to use with a faith build. Crazy Damage.
I personally had a much harder time getting the celebrant's sickle compared to the rib rake. The sickle only spawns in the two celebrants in blue in the middle of that group
Thorned whip is good, I use it on my Pyromancer build for flavor. I believe its (slightly) inferior to Hoslow's in every way but Weight & Stat Requirements for any build, however. It's higher base AR helps close the gap despite the scaling difference. Even at 80 Dex & 20 Str, the Thorned Whip & Hoslows are tied. Before that I believe Hoslow's is always a bit stronger. Thorned whip is nice in that it's much easier to slot into a build BECAUSE of it's lower Stat requirements & weight. Urumi & Giant's Red Braid are dope too but those are more for DEX & STR/FTH builds respectively so its harder to compare.
The cleanrot knight outside the church site of grace in haligtree has one and it's super easy to farm. You also get a decent chunk of runes per kill. You just sneak out of the door and beat him to death Also, no lake of death
The *real* cool thing about the Watchdog's Greatsword is that it's one of those weapons that becomes a hard dex weapon with Lightning infusion, which is actually harder scaling than with Keen. It gets D/B scaling if you go Keen but E/B scaling with Lightning, and it's the only colossal sword with this quirk. The only other weapon with the same quirky Lightning scaling that I know of is the Gargoyle's Great Axe, and how often do you see people running that thing?
the fact i got the watch dog greataword, noble sword and magma blade all super early in my first playthrough and thought they weren’t rare is crazy to me
RNG is crazy. Some of these I never heard of, some of these I didn't even realize were rare. The Golem Greatbow, the Magma Blade, and and the Cleanrot Spear were all weapons I got on my first run without farming, but I've fought the nobles of that caravan a million times and didn't know they dropped a sword
Ahh the magma blades. I farmed for a dual pair for about 2 hours. I got em both for my fire spellblade type build (mostly str and faith with the blasphemous blade as my other main weapon of use). With all the item discovery boosts, it wasn't tooooo bad. And it's a fast route. Definitely worth picking up if you like curved swords and fire!
An 8% chance to drop means that after 10 runs, you'll have slightly favored odds to receive the drop. Works out to about a 56% chance to have it. It takes 28 runes to have achieved 90%+ odds, and 54 runs to achieve a 99% chance to have it. Same with the noble's slender sword. To have a >50% chance of have it, you need 140 kills. Luckily, they spawn in groups, so that's 30-40 runs depending on the spot.
There's a golem that spawns near where you get the Arrow's Reach talisman that also drops the Golem Halbert. It's by itself and the Stormhill Shack site of grace is nearby making it a bit easier to farm than fighting 3 golems at once, though the archer golem here is the earliest one that can drop the Golem Greatbow.
There is also 2 in the mountaintops of the giants next to a site of grace, there isn’t an archer and you can take them one at a time, this route is how I got 2 golem halberds
im surprised how many of these i found and how many that i didnt know you could get. thought the magma blade, throned whip, and the rib rake were unique to the enemies(though didnt even know of the rib rake until this video actually, just never noticed it). i managed to obtain the nobel's sword, but i didnt know of the estoc as i thought they all used the same sword.😅
Tips for farming the Rib-rake and magma blade. (Rid Rake) farm only the first one at the top of the hill, to the left(should see two of them) past the three Celebrants (Magma Blade) I recommend using curved swords and spamming running and jumping L1’s
i have almost every weapon in the game now, all i need is to go to NG+ and use the mausoleums for the rememberances. the nobles slender sword surprisingly didnt take me long to grind, but the estoc did, even tho it has a higher chance to drop. Golems halberd could be dropped by any golem holding one, the golems surprisingly drop one a lot for me. there's a lot i could say about the weapons, one weapon im surprised people dont usually talk about is the Stone Club, not sure if thats a guaranteed drop by the sorcerrer in the haligtree or not, but another weapon i didnt even know could be dropped was the greathorn hammer from Nokron. i hope there's an update or something that makes the rest of the enemy weapons obtainable, like the avionettes halberd/scythe, and their curved sword, the gravity stone miners pickaxe, grave skeleton's spear, and the sun realm skeletons sword
There are skels with kusarigamas, and it makes me so unendingly furious that they can not drop them for me. Of course, I futilely farmed them for an extremely long time (just in case) before I got confirmation from someone else that this was the case, but that definitely didn't increase my frustration. Nope, not one bit. >:-{
@@SlowMonoxide i completely forgot about that thing, i should have added that to my prediction vid, but also would like the wormface wood thingy as like a great hammer, and idk if the Page's have a unique rapier or not, unless its just an Estoc, man, even the Chakrams that the Crystalian's and Beast men use could've been good for a Fist weapon
I just got the Noble's Estoc about 30 minutes ago. I got it from the foot soldiers group behind the hearse that's being pulled by the two trolls in East Limgrave.
I got a nobles stock by accident when farming for the nobles slender sword which I was farming for 2 to dual wield. I know there are better options but I like how these slender swords look and they’re not my main swords ( I run a faith build so it makes better sense for me to dual wield a Blasphemous blade with a Golden Order Greatsword ) The slender sword don’t have any special traits that makes it of great use for faith builds as I said I only like how they look but I infuse them to make them faith scaling so they do a little more damage.
8:13 I got mine in Leyndell, Royal Capital defeating the golem there. That said the enemy never spawned again after defeat. I think any golem with the halberd drops it.
Same for the golem bow, tbh most enemies hold the same mechanic, if it holds it and its obtainable it drops it with the exception of the one flame monk with the sword, only one in the game actually drops it
I had no idea that the Noble Slender sword was rare, and THAT rare is crazy because I got it at the very beginning of my playthrough.. should've bought a lottery ticket
I found that the nobles estoc is way rarer than the slender sword. I had 2 slender swords before I finally got an estoc to drop, and there's 4 estoc wielders in that convoy.
dang, ive got 3 of these weapons and 2/3 of them were on the first try before knowing it was a rare drop so this is cool to know. Golem axe, clean rot spear and the nobels estoc if anyone was curious which ones i got were.
Something that you missed on the halberd, there's one in the mountaintop of the giants below the frozen lake, that's where I got mine by accident. I do think it's all golems that respawn that have the spawn chance but it might be each one total.
It's not possible that Magma Blade is so rare, I've completed the game several times and almost all of these times I've picked up this sword, now this holy spear I hadn't even seen yet
Wrt the noble slender sword: cool. I had no idea it was anything other than a variation of the normal gear dropped near the gate in Lyngrave. I had decided that was a decent place to use as a sparring ground for figuring out the parry and dodge mechanics. Not sure how many rounds I went there (probably 150-200) but I did end up with that sword and even that cool looking great shield the captain carries.
This is really interesting to find out! In my playthrough I got the noble slender sword and I did not know it was that rare! Now I know to give it more love.
I got 2 noble slender swords farming for the noble estoc, I’m now dual wielding them to continue farming for the estoc haha I’m 10000 runes in not sure how long it’s been lmao
Not sure if most people would consider it viable for a list like this, but the "Cinquedea" Dagger (the same Dagger that Gurranq/Beast Clergyman uses against you in Farum Azula) is by far the most difficult weapon to obtain in Elden Ring even though it doesn't have a % drop rate chance; But is more of a "If you can even find this, and make it to it, then you can have it" type of weapon. You can only get it by very carefully making your way down to the very bottom-backside of the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid where Gurranq is; And for a good while after the game's release, the only way to get down there was through clipping since the only safe area to drop down is directly up-against an invisible wall that insta-kills you.
That moment when you had multiple golem bows and halberds because you kept on failing the great jar challenge and also fought the bridge ones without knowing I needed the great rune first to access the tower
I saw a dude on the internet talking about how he struggled farming the noble slender sword and then i checked the inventory and found out i picked it up without even realizing💀
golem's halberd also drops at the top of the dectus life where you have the two golems in front. You can kill them one at a time. It also drops at the apit in Leyndell where younend up early in the game if you get sucked unto that trapped treasure chest. The greatbow also spawn at the top of the dectus lift as well. There is a site of grace right beside... very easy and convenient to farm there.
I got like 4 noble slender swords in a row and was like "damn, this weapon drops so frequently, this is annoying, it's taking up so much space". I had no idea it was rare LOL.
I wasn't aware how rare these weapons were, I managed to get the watchdog greatsword, golem greatbow and halberd in my first playthrough, guess I'll be on the hunt for these in my 2nd playthrough, thanks for covering these.
I know this is six months old but i wanna correct and error: The golems halberd is amazing to use but it doesn't just drop off the golems at stormveil castle, but has a chance to drop of any golem with a halberd in the game. Great video man really enjoyed finding out about some weapons that i never even seen and will definitely keep an eye out for them in the future!
Funny story: my very first elden ring run, I found the Noble's Slender Sword within probably a couple hours of play. And I didn't even bother to equip it because I was doing a sorcerer build.
The noble’s slender sword is actually pretty good for block counter based builds. It’s the longest straight sword, making block counters easier to pull off. Plus, it has a higher critical rating, making critical attacks deal extra damage. Block counters open enemies up for critical hits quickly, making it a pretty deadly combo. That said, if I were doing a block counter build, I’d probably use a greatsword rather than a straight sword. But if you’re running a block counter build and really want to use a straight sword, the nobles slender sword is probably your best option. That, or pick a straight sword with a better ash of war, like the sword of night and flame. I guess it comes down to preference and the stats you have.
I got 2 magma blades in an hour with a discovery of 227. Here's how you can do it faster than in the video (using the sacred relic sword) : 1. Go to the same site of grace 2. Turn around and jump to break the candlestick instead of walking around it. 3. When on the lift, get behind the button and pass over it to send the platform back down before exiting the lift. 4. Kill the albinauric (running r2 is good) 5. Go forward just before the opening of the archway, spam 2 ash of war attacks (or 1 if you 1-shot the serpent) 6. Look if the serpent has any drops yes/no 7. Go to the serpent below the stairs, ash of war and jump r2. 8. If step 6 was yes, go get the drop from the first serpent 9. Repeat This method avoids a lot of needless walking. Unfortunately the first serpent often drops volcanic stones so you'll still have to walk for junk sometimes, but killing him first means he'll be much closer. You could also use other ranged attacks to take him out from near the albinauric. In any case, definitely kill that one first so he doesn't have a chance to turn and get further away. Marika's soreseal (or scarseal but not as good) boosts arcane, so if you have it equip it.
Just got the Nobles estoc yesterday. I have to say the biggest reason to use it is that it is probably the best looking dex weapon in the game. Even the scabbard is gorgeous
I once spent 1 or 2 hours grinding for the Noble's Slender Sword, then I finally got it and moved on. When I got to Raya Lucaria, specifically the courtyard area with the Iron Virgin, I killed two nobles without even thinking about it so I could go get some other items behind them, and wouldn't you know, *2 out of 3 of them dropped the sword, at the same time.........* Thank you Elden Ring :)

I'm extremely surprised that the Celebrant's Sickle wasn't on this list, it's just as rare as the Rib-Rake and by FAR the weapon that took me the longest to farm
The, WHAT X))
@@goofywarriorguy2439 best believe i went hunting for them! 4 hours, 2 mil in runes, 4 pitchforks and 2 scythes later i had the entire set 🤣
@@chrisbitt9870 lmao the dedication 😤
I don't know why I never figured the other celebrants dropped their weapons. I had the ribrake but never saw the rest!
Go figure.
I got it randomly
@@lythairyn Late response, but I just farmed several hours and got 5 estocs before a single slender sword. Ended up leaving and going to liurnia for the slender swords and got two of them in like 10 minutes. Thanks miyazaki.
I have noble slender swords in all 6 slots, still can’t find the damn estoc
Estoc
1:32 "Watchdog's Greatsword" Sir, that's a cat...
The Nobel sword, it's best after the red wolf fight. Walk out of the library and follow the path left. There's a bunch of nobels up the stairs. I used it for my entire first playthrough and loved it.
Agree. I got the Noble’s Straight Sword and Estoc here within a few runs of each other. Most of the nobles in this area have a weapon.
Didnt even know its rare.
Got 2
I got mine 1st TRY , across the bridge from mount galmir bridge : I clipped it and everything lol
Seeing you get both the Partisan AND the Gilded Greatshield in the same enemy drop has me feeling some kind of way.
I feel like 99% of players didn't miss this
The Warhawk's Talon from the birds near Rampart Tower in Stormveil Castle has a ~2% drop rate. It's a straight sword with a unique R2 with good stagger, short recovery, and decent range (for the weapon class). Actually a pretty solid weapon overall if you're willing to deal with the straight sword range since the R2 enables getting in and out quickly.
I have 2 of those and I'm on ng+
Im currently running second character and it randomly dropped from the first bird i fought in the castle, i was like - Huh.. So it drops something like this?
I just now realize i got pretty lucky lol
You are guaranteed to get one from the bird next to the banished knight in the same castle with the other birds.
I got it cause I kept dyin to those fucks so I ended up killin every single one till I could find my way around lol
I got that from my very first storm hawk on my first run
This is on the surprisingly long list of things I picked up in my first playthrough and had no idea how rare it was
I think it's basically the rarest weapon in the game not because of it's drop rate but from the hassle one has to go through to get it .
dafuck are you on about? you can farm that shit in liurnia lake lol
You should buy a ticket, but if you win, you have to give me $1 million for suggesting it 🤣
Apparently the Bandit Curved Sword has a 1.5% drop rate as well. Took me close to 2 hours farming for 2 of them in Sage's Cave.
I got it on my very first play through, I thought it was a common drop since I got it so early in Liurnia, I didn’t even know it was so rare lol
I got mine from the graveyard right outside one of the churches in weeping peninsula. Pretty quick farm there, usually ~ 30-45 minute to get 2.
Man these experiences were so amazing. This was one of the best games I've ever played. After platinuming the game, collecting virtually every ash of war and most every rare weapon, AND helping a friend get to 100pct there isn't much reason to play it anymore (pvp is broken)
....can't wait for DLC.
I don't see how you kinda of people can 100 percent a game like this. I just simply don't have the time lol
@@adeptusmechanicus1029 that’s simply not true. You choose how you spend your own time. I work 40 hours just like everyone else and still have 300+ hours on the game.
@@idontwatchfilm I mean you're technically correct, but it's not healthy to only play video games outside of working my dude
I’m still finding new things on NG +3 😯
0:14 badass jump
The noble estoc was the first weapon to drop for me on my first playthrough. I was super excited to not have to use the club anymore(i was a wretch), had no idea it was so rare.
I used it a lot on my blood build first playthrough I added a blood art to it, I think the one from Haights castle
I wasted an entire day of my life farming nobles to get that slender sword.
At least it looks stylish.
Just level up and progess normally. The higher the level the more drops will follow
The lizards also drops the whip
Is the magma blade the same one you pick up off the body on the way up through the area with singing bats
Negative about that Golem Halberd weapon, You definitely can farm that at the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins too. That’s how it fell for me.
Yup but like 99% of folks will most likely have that caelid spot opened WAY before snow valley
I got it from the one Golem in the part of the capital where the teleport chest takes you.
it dropped for me at the grand lift of dectus golems
Noble Slender Sword was one of my first weapons in Elden Ring and I used it for so long, I loved it
Thorned whip is good, I use it on my Pyromancer build for flavor.
You just sneak out of the door and beat him to death
Also, no lake of death
The *real* cool thing about the Watchdog's Greatsword is that it's one of those weapons that becomes a hard dex weapon with Lightning infusion, which is actually harder scaling than with Keen. It gets D/B scaling if you go Keen but E/B scaling with Lightning, and it's the only colossal sword with this quirk. The only other weapon with the same quirky Lightning scaling that I know of is the Gargoyle's Great Axe, and how often do you see people running that thing?
If this is true, thank you very much. I just might've found two new dex weapons to try out.
the fact i got the watch dog greataword, noble sword and magma blade all super early in my first playthrough and thought they weren’t rare is crazy to me
I want to point out that you can get Hoslow's twice in the same playthrough to dual wield
iant even gonna lie i got the nobles estoc first try and had no idea it was rare, i was just running thru the area 😭
Yes I like the thorned whip but I also love the long range heavy attack of the Urumi. Also any shield can be used with the Cleanrot spear.
I like duel haslows, strike over slash, better bleed and higher dps
The first lizard I saw weilding one dropped it for me. I just thought it was one of those everyone gets for killing that specific enemy.
Bruh. I spent 6 hours farming for that thing and only got one of them. But I got enough Man-Serpent Shields to open an illegal Shield business.
@@LispyJesusi went into farming one knowing the 1% droppchance and got it first try. Gotza get a second one at some point tho
I'm playing Elden Ring now for a few days only but I already have the Noble's Estoc.
I got it randomly on first try.
There is the Celebrant's Sickle in the windmill village, which is a 0.5% drop rate.
Ended up getting 2 of them while trying to farm the hammer, on,y to find out the hammer is on a corpse on a cliff behind the windmill
@@jhm3346 Almost the same thing happened to me, except I got the Cleaver, not the Sickle.
im surprised how many of these i found and how many that i didnt know you could get. thought the magma blade, throned whip, and the rib rake were unique to the enemies(though didnt even know of the rib rake until this video actually, just never noticed it). i managed to obtain the nobel's sword, but i didnt know of the estoc as i thought they all used the same sword.😅
Tips for farming the Rib-rake and magma blade.
(Rid Rake) farm only the first one at the top of the hill, to the left(should see two of them) past the three Celebrants
(Magma Blade) I recommend using curved swords and spamming running and jumping L1’s
i have almost every weapon in the game now, all i need is to go to NG+ and use the mausoleums for the rememberances. the nobles slender sword surprisingly didnt take me long to grind, but the estoc did, even tho it has a higher chance to drop.
There are skels with kusarigamas, and it makes me so unendingly furious that they can not drop them for me. Of course, I futilely farmed them for an extremely long time (just in case) before I got confirmation from someone else that this was the case, but that definitely didn't increase my frustration. Nope, not one bit. >:-{
I know there are better options but I like how these slender swords look and they’re not my main swords ( I run a faith build so it makes better sense for me to dual wield a Blasphemous blade with a Golden Order Greatsword )
The slender sword don’t have any special traits that makes it of great use for faith builds as I said I only like how they look but I infuse them to make them faith scaling so they do a little more damage.
I actually have found 3 of the Noble Slender Swords, but never once seen the Noble Estoc. Somehow my luck only goes one way apparently.
Noble slender sword actually has the longest range of the straight sword class :)
The Golem Halberd can also drop from the golem to the left of the shaded castle. Thats where i got my one.
despite the thorned whip having barely better scaling i think the petal whip is better in terms of damage and they have the same bleed
the noble's estoc was pretty much my first weapon that i got in my first playthrough and i didnt even notice
I picked up the nobles estoc had no idea it was rare
8:13 I got mine in Leyndell, Royal Capital defeating the golem there. That said the enemy never spawned again after defeat. I think any golem with the halberd drops it.
Same for the golem bow, tbh most enemies hold the same mechanic, if it holds it and its obtainable it drops it with the exception of the one flame monk with the sword, only one in the game actually drops it
I had no idea that the Noble Slender sword was rare, and THAT rare is crazy because I got it at the very beginning of my playthrough.. should've bought a lottery ticket
The golem bow is so nice, 99str and you’re easily taking out enemies, even at later new games
I found that the nobles estoc is way rarer than the slender sword. I had 2 slender swords before I finally got an estoc to drop, and there's 4 estoc wielders in that convoy.
That's funny about the nobles sword bc I have two of them at +25 with bleed and frost infusions and I've had them for quite a while

Yep, he tries to sound so confident in his "knowledge" too.
Something that you missed on the halberd, there's one in the mountaintop of the giants below the frozen lake, that's where I got mine by accident. I do think it's all golems that respawn that have the spawn chance but it might be each one total.
34 vigor 🤮
It's not possible that Magma Blade is so rare, I've completed the game several times and almost all of these times I've picked up this sword, now this holy spear I hadn't even seen yet
The watchdog sword: *GIANT SWORD*
Me playing as warrior class: I’LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK!
Same but I got the estoc after 11 cycles
Man literally farmed the watchdog again for the weapon, could have just told us but didn't you know how a quality video man
I hate to be that guy, but! Recently I went and farmed for the Noble's slender sword, and actually got two within only 30+ tries at Waypoint ruins,
I wasn't aware how rare these weapons were, I managed to get the watchdog greatsword, golem greatbow and halberd in my first playthrough, guess I'll be on the hunt for these in my 2nd playthrough, thanks for covering these.
Realized I have 2 noble slender swords lol
I know this is six months old but i wanna correct and error:
The golems halberd is amazing to use but it doesn't just drop off the golems at stormveil castle, but has a chance to drop of any golem with a halberd in the game. Great video man really enjoyed
finding out about some weapons that i never even seen and will definitely keep an eye out for them in the future!
Here's how you can do it faster than in the video (using the sacred relic sword) :
1. Go to the same site of grace
2. Turn around and jump to break the candlestick instead of walking around it.
3. When on the lift, get behind the button and pass over it to send the platform back down before exiting the lift.
4. Kill the albinauric (running r2 is good)
5. Go forward just before the opening of the archway, spam 2 ash of war attacks (or 1 if you 1-shot the serpent)
6. Look if the serpent has any drops yes/no
7. Go to the serpent below the stairs, ash of war and jump r2.
8. If step 6 was yes, go get the drop from the first serpent
9. Repeat
This method avoids a lot of needless walking.
Alright so it took me 20 tries for the watchdog great sword but got the Nobel slender sword on my first try lmao I’ll try those odds
I’ve had every single weapon on this list without realizing they’re rare wow
Great video though 👍🏼
Just got the Nobles estoc yesterday. I have to say the biggest reason to use it is that it is probably the best looking dex weapon in the game. Even the scabbard is gorgeous
I once spent 1 or 2 hours grinding for the Noble's Slender Sword, then I finally got it and moved on.
When I got to Raya Lucaria, specifically the courtyard area with the Iron Virgin, I killed two nobles without even thinking about it so I could go get some other items behind them, and wouldn't you know, *2 out of 3 of them dropped the sword, at the same time.........*
Thank you Elden Ring :)
The Nobels Slender Sword dropped from two enemies in a row for me.
I didn't know it was rare.
Uh... I got the golem Halbert at the top of the dectus lift the first time I killed the golem on the left.
lol i got the Noble Slender Sword on my first play through and was wondering why it didn't drop in any of the other runs any more. Well that certainly explains that. Thanks for the clarification.
Not sure if things have changed in-game or not since this video was uploaded, but the Magma Blade just dropped on the 3rd kill for me. Can't wait to give it a try.
Ah, the Magma blade. Farmed for two of them on my second playthrough, and oh my gods was it worth it.
I feel super lucky, i got both the noble estoc and slender sword naturally and had no clue they were this rare.
I was "lightly" farming the Noble's Slender Sword not seriously, but I ended up with 2 of them along with the Noble's Estoc. It hasn't dropped for me since.
