    DJI Neo - had a question the other day asking can the Neo do Parallel mode? Also I did see a video showing the Parallel mode by the DJI Neo. Enjoy the video on what the DJI Neo can do in Active Track

    They may not enable parallel tracking due to the lack of obstacle avoidance on the Neo. There would probably be more mishaps. Great video Shaun, thanks for sharing.

    I’ve heard that in direction track, with no controller at all, the Neo will do parallel tracking as long as direction track is sent out sideways to begin with… I’d test it myself tomorrow but where I am in the UK, we’ve got wind!

      This, I replied the same. You have to use the phone or just the Neo by itself. I do it quite a bit to get a side shot as I walk beside a lake or a view of a valley.

      I can confirm this. Got Neo out yesterday by it lonesome without remote and tracked me on an eboard. Send it sideways to begin with. Voila, it does parallel tracking

    A Question Shaun. Would you rather be attacked by a DJI Agras T40....OR....One Hundred DJI Neos?

      Good question David, neither

    Don't use tracking. Use direction track. Put the neo on one side of you and then when you move the Neo will move with you in parallel. I am not sure that is an option when using the remote. You can get it when you use the Phone as the controller. Go into custom mode and select direction track. Edit: No obstacle avoidance, so you have to be careful in an open spot. Neo if you stop moving for 3 seconds, the Neo will assume you stopped and stop tracking. So you take off with your phone, position it where you want, then start the direction track mode from your phone and start walking. Where ever the Neo is in relation to your body, it will try to keep the same distance. So if it's in front of you and you walk forward, the Neo will go backward. If it's parallel to you at the side, and you walk forward, the Neo will track sideways in the same direction you are going, including running into anything in it's path. I've done it a 1/2 dozen times. Works fine, but the Neo surges sometimes as it slows down and then tries to catch up.

      Many thanks for your comment and information Jason - I use the Neo mostly with nothing or the phone and in Direction Track which works most times. Many thanks for watching

    Why neo have these faetures whilst avata 2 have not? Is it firmware or hardware things?

    • @shaunthedrone
      @shaunthedrone  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's more to do with firmware updates and usually DJI fix these problems - thanks for watching

    I have a mini pro three there’s no way I’m spending that much money on a remote just for a $200 drone. The phone is fine. You should do some tutorials on that.

      Hi, I've done many videos on the DJI Neo like this one

      You don't even need your phone - it's a fun drone and it's not a toy
