So... in a way this actually makes me appreciate Pecharunt more. Like, I'm pretty sure it's shiny-locked, but the fact that there's a little story event tied to it is nice!
I'm actually trying to get a shiny Celebi too right now! One thing that makes shiny Celebi more special to me is that Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness was my first Pokemon game and a shiny Celebi is a story important character there. Because of that, Celebi will always look more right to me in pink than green.

I recently got my shiny Poipole from Ultra Sun in approx 263 resets only! I definitely understand the shock and anxiety about trying to get a pre-Switch exclusive shiny before bank shuts down. Thankfully I got my shiny girl very quickly!

Congrats! I got one of these too, a few years ago. It was a slow hunt using just one 3DS. Tried catching it in a love ball for color matching before being told that gen 2 doesn’t keep track of that stuff 😅

Hey congrats my guy on your Shiny Celebi. The most recent Shiny I got was from a random Violet Tera Raid was pink Hypno. We eventually defeated it but man was it annoying because Hypno kept landing Hypnosis. lol
I’ve been shiny hunting the pink onion on and off for around a year or two now, using my one 3DS, still only ~5,000 encounters (taking the time spent playing ingame and subtracting that from the activity log time, then dividing the time by 30 seconds), hope to get it before Bank shuts down since I also wanna get as many ribbons as possible on it!
I just caught it right now after 4 days of hunting almost non stop! I was about to give up but there it was. I must have soft reset several thousands of times ( i didnt count )..

working on shiny celebi right now. it's my first non-RNG manip hunt. this is pain.
