Hey Guys! A new fact video is coming very soon! But i wanted to make a vid cataloging my craziest shiny pokemon I've found, because I think im probably one of the luckiest shiny hunters on the planet😂 Im gonna be taking a departure from shiny hunting videos so doing something like this felt like it was needed to end it off! I have some reeeally crazy videos planned, and a few of those are include a fact collab and a really crazy pokemon challenge video! God, safari week sounds so cool to me, but I’m not sure if I’d recover from the heartbreak if a shiny ran from me. Lowkey jealous of the people that do it.
Shiny Cyndaquil starter is one thing, but I wonder if anyone's ever looked at their starters in HG/SS and witnessed all 3 starters being shiny at the same time. And then would come the choice...

Nah no way, that is like 1 in 500 billion levels of luck. Just getting 2 in a row like Phin is 1 in 67 million.
I choose my favorite starter based on what shiny I get, I randomly pick starter pokemon until one becomes shiny, my 1st shiny starter is a female squrtile with sassy nature and then my second is a male Mudkip with sassy nature.

before i was shiny hunting myself i always thought the reactions were really exaggerated but once you sat there for 19h yourself you understand the emotions when the expected 80h turn into measly minutes

Listen I’m a simple man but the absolute unbridled bewilderment and excitement in all of these shiny finds gave me 15 years of life.
The shiny pinsir reminded me of being 12, running around in the safari zone and coming across one myself unintentionally. It was my first shiny ever and I was immediately heartbroken because I knew it would run. I threw a ball, it ran and I cried a little. Oh well
The Cyndaquil story reminds me of how I was resetting for Mudkip in ORAS. I did it on an off for a year, and picked it up again in college. I decided to reset my save file to get a new trainer ID. The very first Mudkip on the new save was shiny!

Fun fact: My fist shiny was a Shiny Zubat, which I caught in my Original Gold version cartridge. The thing about Zubat is that you can evolve it into either Golbat or Crobat and actually use it in a Mini-game in Pokémon Stadium 2. This means you can actually play as your shiny Golbat or Crobat in Pokémon Stadium 2. And yes, it retains its shininess.

And what is even more insane - I had the EXACT same situation you had with Zubat - but for me it was Paras in the FRLG SZ. Found shiny Paras in the 4ks, failed it. Literally 20 minutes later, found the exact same shiny (15%) again and reclaimed it.
It was so funny seeing that you got the same thing with Zubat!

I think my most crazy shinies are my shiny darkrai and wandering latios and latias.
Another time was when I got a shiny mudkip in alpha sapphire and I when to train it in the route after and immediately found a shiny zigzagoon and I didn't have any pokeballs so I was forced to knock it out

I remember when playing diamond and pearl as a little kid, I didn’t know what was going on when I was in a cave, but I encountered a natural shiny zubat and caught it first ball and everything, I told my brother I think my games glitched, and later learned what shines were 😂
I’ve only ran across a shiny once or twice in my life of playing Pokémon . I remember when I was a kid I was freaking out, thanks for the sweet nostalgia. Going to buy a shiny magikarp card now :)

I once found a shiny zigzagoon in a normal playthrough when you save prof birch. If i had waited a few seconds that same shiny frame couldve been the mudkip. Hurts me to this day.

I know I'm late but that Lapras is a 1 in 18317.312 to catch since you have to take in account 72% because of the amount of safari balls thrown and the 30% encounter rate and the shiny rate
Using 'and' probabilities (x and y - multiply the odds) to get 5 of the exact same natures, in the exact same order, twice, is 25 to the power of 10. Giving you a total odds of 1 in 95,367,431,640,625
Something I noticed as well which would probably make the odds much lower is the first 3 dratini have the same characteristics. The only possible way that could have probably happened otherwise is if both of those games were started at the same time and have the same Trainer ID and the dratinis that were bought were on the same frame. But seeing that the last 2 had different characteristics but the same nature I highly doubt that. Thats some crazy odds

If I say “man, that’s awesome” that doesn’t mean I’m talking about something good and it doesn’t mean I’m sarcastically talking about something bad, either. “Awesome” can refer to something bad too. Like that car accident I got into a few months ago was awesome. I was seriously awestruck.
Luckiness is seen glass half full mostly, just like awesomeness. But if something is unlucky, it really shouldn’t mean that it was bad luck… it should mean that luck wasn’t a factor.

Ah yes... Double Shine... always intense when it happens! Was shiny hunting Ekans in Pokemon Let's Go: Eevee, got the Ekans, then immediately afterwards, a Shiny Rattata just popped up and said hello. First two shinies of that game, and I have the file still.

I've been trying to hatch a shiny male Wooper for my boyfriend for an entire year now. I've found 3 shiny female Wooper. Not a single shiny male. An entire year. At least I can't stay made at their little dumb smiley faces. (Once, I shiny hunted a Chatot and while I was grinding it up, I found a shiny Golbat by complete accident. It was amazing! :D )

I can’t believe the difference in luck (and also partly from persistence) I’ve seen 2 shinies in my life and only caught my be bc the other was in safari zone. My gf has been playing Pokémon since the first Gen and has never encountered a shiny Pokémon 😮
Same! The only shiny I have ever seen in any pokemon game naturally was a shiny machop in Leafgreen when I was like 7. I thought something was wrong with my game so I ran from it out of fear of it corrupting my game lol

The natures all being the same in the gamecorner actually has to do with 3rd Gen RNG. You must have SR'd and spawned them on the exact same frames on both games

been binging your videos and they're making me want ot shiny hunt again. I'm not the most patient but egg hatching while watching movies is always fun. my first shiny hatch was Drampa :) and my first on screen shiny was a dragapault that i accidentally ran into. Didn't even want to touch him but glad i did.
bruh i need some of this luck u got here i tried to shiny hunt in brilliant diamond, ive never done it before and i thought why not? and man i have nooo type of luck!! shiny chain hunting hasn’t worked for me as they keep breaking early (like at 10) or around 20, and resetting has also not given me any luck (tried for giratina and giving up for now lol) but u have so much patience, i don’t think i could ever go as many tries as u for some of these haha
