Hi I recently brought this seatbox but I had to return it because it was bruising my thumbs when I was taking the seat and draw units from the main frame I’m really disappointed ive also looked at three others at different shops and they was the same really really difficult to take apart guys
Very nice Seatbox, but still I want a point of attention. Always think it's a pity that the impressions of the screw remain behind on the extension legs.
Now have a matrix with the same proplem.
extension legs from Rive don't have that problem. they have a nicer system. Maybe an idea for Preston and Matrix.

Took mine out today and it might be quite trivial to some but noticed the spirit level is wayyy off??
I also agree with somebody else’s comment that the whole unit is difficult to take off due to the bottom 4 mag lok clips. Luckily these aren’t deal breakers because it’s a nice box just a bit dissapointed. It’s also very heavy but it’s stability makes up for it.

Dear Preston, can you promise that the rim under the cushion will not sag, stopping the draw from opening? I love my Absolute 36 and hope that mine is a one of fault and hopefully my new cushion top section eventually arrives will be fault free.
I like the idea of the inner legs nit being able to come out. I unknowingly lost an inner leg from my inception box this summer whilst carrying it so perhaps that idea can be incorporated in all future boxes?

The seatbox weighs 19.6kg as supplied
I bought a swivel seat for mine, which is great but my only vice is when I take the normal seat off I lose the shallow drawer as you cannot remove this from under the seat…….. 🤔
2 things...
1 - Will the frame and footplate be available without the units for those already with the drawer units?
2 - The inner legs collars, why not aluminium instead of plastic that breaks easy?
I'm afraid the frame isn't available separately. The plastic collars have proven more than strong enough during the testing phase.

hi there will the locking footplate pins fit the absolute 36 black ? ive had 2 on order since september 12 through angling direct but since the makers moved to brussels still have" nt got them, they do ring once a week but can"t get anywhere with them can you help.
Hi Carol, I'm afraid the new plungers won't fit, they are a different size.

I've ordered the graphite one, have a four wheeled shuttle do I need any attachments to transport or does it come with them?
It doesn't come supplied with the adapters, you will need to order the Absolute ST Shuttle Adapters for it to fit perfectly
Does the new box come with shuttle adapters , so it fits my 4 wheeler ..
These can be purchased separately
Can I put the new footplate fit on the last version of the absolute 36?
I'm afraid not.
Old frame was far too heavy, so I bought the Inception version instead.
Hopefully these new ones will be much lighter.
The weight is 19.6kg as supplied

Hi. Just have to say it... I can't understand why 1000€ seatboxes are welded the way the newbie welders in school do it! Yes, it will increase the price of the final product, but it will certainly win many more customers, that's for sure 😉
My footplate isn't steady as a rock,pins aren't long enough and its slipped out when I stepped on it,other than that its great
Mine did that so I got replacement pins and that's sorted it out now mate

They are our flagship seatboxes, we have many other models which cover all price points
So it's just about same as last version with a few "rock solid" marketing tweaks, suggesting previous version was not up to the job. Oh, and a few hundred quid more expensive, so it must be better 😮💨
There's a number of key areas of improvements. Take a look at one in the flesh, you won't be disappointed.

Still making the cheap inner legs that leave marks every time it’s tightened up looks horrible especially at 700 quid or more
The inception station already has the removable top, that's nothing new. Why didn't they make the footplate a one handed operation similar to other boxes on the market ?
I use the inception station so I'm not anti preston innovation with my comments
The Removable top is new to the Absolute range. In regards to the footplate, our locking pins are proven to be reliable which is why we continued to use them on this model :)

The seatbox may be the dogs,but the inception chairs are rubbish i have had three of them and they all broke on the front crossmember!!!.
If you have had an issue please return the product from the retailer which it was purchased from
Expensive and can’t fit them in the car. New box new car ££££😢😢
The footplate can be removed, meaning the seatbox remains super compact

All i hear is smazing design etc... is it for girls? Cause i look sturdy one.. and this footplate pin dedighn clwarly ruins stability.. compared to rive how they pay attention to plate locking, is day and knight, their locking mech is so superior compared to this bilshit pin setup...
No where near enough space to carry all my bits and reels and boxes etc. Looks like cheap alloy or something too and it’s too plasticy for me are all these modern boxes. Terrible waste of money. These kind of boxes should’ve worth about £60.
Awesome bit's of kit. Can't fault mine. As for not enough space for reels that doesn't matter as most people carry rods already made up in rod holdall so need to carry reels in the seatbox. Them days have past long ago.
True. Lots of fresh air in there. Meanwhile you need to buy all the luggage instead and then a cart to carry it to the bank and then a van to carry the luggage and cart 😅
