Another fine apothecary anime. I think they should have cut down on the number of scenes with doves flying across windows, balconies, etc. I wish it got a 3rd season.
I haven't been watching this one but I must say that, from the little clips you've shown in the video, I kinda disagree when you say it looks good. It doesn't look bad indeed, but I find it very average in both style and animation, and it does lack some originality I believe.
@@SableSymphony yeah I would like to know where the "very average" comes from. Been watching anime for 30 years and I find Apothecary Diaries way above average in most departments. The backgrounds are movie quality. The animation is passable for the most part but I would like to point to episode 4 as one of the best directed episodes this season -- the pacing, animation fluidity, scene composition, transitions, etc, everything was on point.

Some is borderline with wrong perspective, and overall they look like your average anime background that could be stock images of a medieval town or something. Character animation looks okayish, on par with anime standards. The character designs look very dull, and it's not what I've seen from the few manga covers I've seen for this story, so I'd say it's a problem from the anime too. I've seen worse shows for sure, but this is nowhere near as good as other anime this season in terms of visual quality
I loved this anime so much I bought the light novel series. Can’t wait to see rest of it animated.

Undead unluck is being hated upon. It has a great story but people are only looking surface level. It is getting the fairy tail treatment
Anyone who likes Apothecary Diaries should really go watch the Chinese Drama called Yanxi Palace. Pretty much same story or very close.
