Sara's humility when her offers don't get accepted is really nice to see. If that was Jenny she'd have been making annoyed faces and creating an awkward atmosphere.

Well, Sarah really didn't HAVE an offer, did she? She said she'd go halvsies with Deborah in an effort to hitch her wagon to that train, but she doesn't really add anything so Deborah said no. Let's be real, she owns a company that would BUY the product, she's not suddenly going to lose the interest to purchase out of spite, assuming the product really IS a superior alternative.
What offer did she make? "Half the money", seriously? Sarah didn't want to make an offer. This is her competitor.

Steven has definitely brought a new flavour to the Den. He is more considerate of the interest of the business owners and tells them the best dragon for their business. It's good to see the other dragon's follow suit. It's not just about the money. Business owners should feel confident in their choice of a dragon.

I always love the Peter & Debrah duo, wether it’s banter, helping each other close a deal, supporting each other or congratulating each other, they always put off good vibes, they’re the only two dragons I actually think could be “friends” out of the den, where as the rest just seem like they’d be cordial, but wouldn’t go out of their way to talk or get together outside of the den.
Touker should've supported his offer with an additional eco-friendly office in London

Anyone else feel a bit emotional at Peter’s speech? I love his and Deborah’s relationship, feels as though they have built a great rapport over the years. Think this current line up is brilliant. Very different personalities but all interesting, credible and genuine.

Actually I felt it was very bitchy and arrogant. His thinking of "we've been here the longest, so we're the most important" is very detrimental to the show and the concept. He keeps trying to control the show (both on and off screen) and frankly it's getting rather childish.

Dragons' Den are great programmes. Brilliantly put together and with all the dragons absolutely credible. I'd be happy to have any of them in my business!

100% my favourite episode so far. I love the product and everything about it the perfect people are involved for this and Peter makes my heart melt his relationship with Deborah is truly beautiful
The product is useless, expensive and bad for the environment. There is already existing (decades ago) better solutions. But i guess all "eco" branded things (not true in 90% of the cases) are hype for the millennials...
@@evgenitantikov5865 How so? Every step of the way they have gone eco friendly. Plastics take 100s of years to break down, so the paper based material will decompose far quicker too.

Btw the amount of plastic you can produce on earth is limited by the source. We can't overpolute the earth with it. Think about it. It is recyclable 99% with minimum amount of energy. We should actually save the plastic, not to decompose it. We will need it, we just don't know it yet

Your point about China is absolutely right. They are heading in the right direction though. Manufacturing plastic free things such as this goes a long way considering the west's reliance on their manufacturing of our plastic goods is a major reason why they have such a high level of plastic waste.
We absolutely can over pollute the Earth with it. It can and is happening because we don't recycle it well enough. You don't need the entire Earth to be covered in plastic for it to be considered over polluted.

Sara was shut down in this. She should have stood alone instead of siding with Deborah because that was an indirect jibe at Peter, which is why he voted for his friend Deborah who also agreed with Peter so Sara lost out.

I love Peter. No-nonsense, smart, perceptive and, under the pragmatic exterior, he has a good heart.

There was a considerable lack of questions regarding turnover, profit margins and bottomline numbers talk.

This episode was heavily edited, a typical pitch presentation from pitcher last I believe 30 to 40 minutes
What they show on TV has a lot of parts edited out, a pitch would last a hour or more but they edit it down to about 10 minutes for TV
Thoroughly enjoyed that episode! It had the feel good factor from start to finish.

I've done interior/exterior painting for over 10 years. We just coat the inside of the buckets and trays evenly at end of use and have no issues during the next use. Then just peel the shell out every 5 - 7 coats and it's brand new again. Repeat. Still using my original buckets from 10 years ago.

I love their products and eco-approach to consumer products. We need more businesses like this and our planet wouldn't be in such a mess and our countries have 10's of miles of landfill waste that can't be recycled. It's a good sustainable eco-friendly business in a market that has a good growth potential but its very competitive, you're up against Poundland type stores. Their products will come at a price premium and only appeal to eco-aware consumers but with the right marketing approach and connections to retailers it could have potential.
This is the happiest I've ever seen Peter 😂😂😂 it's kinda creepy 😅

Poor Sarah getting left out. I would have chosen her without question. Peter butting in and making them decide without thinking.
They can't choose her because she only offered half the money, when Deborah said no to the split they were left with only Touker or Deborah and in that case it's a no brainer (rules of the show are that they need all the money that they asked for and Sara was only offering half)
This would not be the perfect product for Sara as she doesn’t hold a portfolio of being eco friendly etc the way Deborah does. Although I do think Sara could have helped and propelled this business also.
Considering they went in and told them Deborah was their favoured Dragon, I don't think they decided without thinking.....

Should of gone with Sarah, opportunity to instantly stop a factory manufacturing plastic trays without ever having to compete with it.
But then they can't cuz Deborah didn't want to share with Sarah. Sarah only offered half of the money, hence they could not pick Sarah. It was either Touker or Deborah, and we all know the better choice in this specific case.
That wouldnt happen. Sarah owns 100% of the factory producing the trays compared to the 10/20% of this new company. She would lose money by stopping manufacture of the plastic trays

A little advice for anyone starting out painting. Just get a plastic bag and wrap it over the tray as though you're binning the tray. Put the paint in the tray, take the bag off when finished. Then, you'll never get a drop of paint on your tray.

Most people would put some clingfilm over the paint tray so the paint never touches it and it's left clean afterwards. Obviously this is much better with it's eco focus, but my friend is a professional painter and decorator and he doesn't replace his trays
