    Very well spoken and easy to understand, I followed the same guidelines when I built mine back in the late 90’s and it’s still running great. I’m about to start a fresh more powerful build myself..... just not 800hp, only the 400 range . Great job on your videos

    Awesome video papi! Almost there bro. Can wait to see the power difference with the new manifold. Since you mentioned that your limiting factor is the fuel pump will you try to add an additional Walbro 450?

    • @SPTuning
      @SPTuning  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly, if i add another in tank then ill upgrade fuel lines once again. I think for this setup ill just keep it like this for now, and once i go big piston and big turbo ill upgrade then

    Yo ! Good job on the build bro. You are way more advanced then me when it comes to taking apart motors . I've bin into Hondas now for about 8 years . A lot of my friends are getting out of the Honda scene and getting into back wheel drive cars like 240's ,miata's, and lexas's . In your opinion is working on non Honda motors more technical ? Or more difficult ?

    • @SPTuning
      @SPTuning  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I say just different. Honda always has simplicty in mind, other engines are harder , but anything can be learned with attention to detail and patience

    Hi community. Last night I started hearing knocking on the bottom end of my civic SI 2011. I researched and it all boils down to rod knocking. I know this sounds bad. I’m not as mechanically inclined in regards to rebuilding motors. Can anyone in the community please direct me into a sort of technical school that teaches how to build engines. I would like some direction please and thank you.
    I am fed up with taking my car to mechanics that try to scam you for your money.

    Question what are you doing with the evap canister ? Like what do you do with the line that goes back to the tank ?

    • @SPTuning
      @SPTuning  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im pretty sure I disconnected the line that goes to take a long time ago, but ill verify this week. As for the block, this particular block has an oem canistar port blocked off, and if it didnt you can run a plug on the block. You can find them on ebay or most online shops

      SP Tuning thank you for the quick reply it's on a 2000 ek hatch I was thinking people left a cut line that leads back to the tank I would think the car would run funny I'm in the process of swapping it to a b20vtec

    Question: Im getting mixed opinions on pr3 vs p72. Ik p72 has the quench area because of the shape and closed chambers compared to an open pr3 head so p72 aids compression but pr3 flows better top end. I just dont know which head is better to boost for big power like this. Once both ported are they really the same thing too? Some people say yes others say there still is a difference. Ive got a pr3 head and was wondering since on boost too high compression will end badly, I was thinking pr3 head with higher compression pistons would be the better choice but then I get mixed opinions about compression and wether that really is a limiting factor or fuel is because more compression in a perfect world = more power right? And even if I get comparatively higher comp pistons, will it be an issue with clearance if I go too high comp and theyll start to hit the valves which would mean I cant run a bigger cam profile...so back to the question gsr head vs b16 lol. btw I love the series. for someone as clueless as me and just only getting started into the honda game, this series step by step really gives me a clear guide when I wana build my motor so thank you for this. Also another question: Ive got a full type r assembly head and block jdm b18c bone stock with a slight compression upgrade 11.5:1 but still stock cast pistons. they're nippon p73s. am i safe for small boost on pump gas or do i have to go e85?

    • @SPTuning
      @SPTuning  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Small boost yes youre safe. Not high boost i wouldnt reccomend with the 11.5 compression for stock cast pistons / internals. I love the gsr vs the pr3 cast because it raises a little compression more than b16 naturally and can still run a 10:1 piston and end up in the 10:5ish range which i think is a sweet spot
