Hey one mistake in the video that I noticed was you saying “No pass through charging” this is not true. It does have pass through. I’m not sure if yours is faulty or faulty cable, or faulty box but something is not working properly. Just an FYI. Amazing video as always
Got mine today since my old powerbank gave up on me. Love the quality, max power and built in cable. Dont think i want other brand powerbanks from now on lol. Your vids got me started haha
hi, good video, but what we realy need for the Ally is a power bank that is not to heavy so we can stick it to the back of the Ally and comes with an integrantes cable, no 30w mode needed for hand held gaming
Amazing powerbank. I just got it to charge my dell e5470. It charges it fully once, while using the laptop, doing word documents and youtube. It is very good for me!
this was the video I was looking for... thank you. helped me finally make my decision between this (50€ full price) and the Anker 737 (88€ discounted).
Thanks again for the recommendation. I will be picking this one up for sure. When gaming handheld, how do you incorporate the power bank? Do you let the onboard battery get down to a certain level, then plug it in to the bank? Also, do you unplug at a certain percentage before it reaches %100 percent to preserve powerbank longevity? What would you say are some of your best practices?
Hi, thank you for the video! I have a couple of questions: 1. Does the second USB-C port (the one without the integrated cable) support 65W charging when used alone? This would be helpful since it allows the use of a longer USB-C cable (making it easier to store the power bank in a backpack) while still charging the Ally at 65W. 2. Can the device sustain a full 65W charge (one port) and 87W (2 ports) throughout, from 100% to 0% battery? I saw AllThingsOnePlace's test for other powerbanks, where he fully empty the powerbank and see if it could sustain the claim. While your review is already more in-depth than others, it would be great if you could test this as well to verify the manufacturer’s claim. Thank you again, and I really appreciate the quality of your video! Other reviewers only say it's good without any data so this video was great insight.
I just bought this but now im wondering if there is something better coming along soon or already available can you tell me this was a good choice or not. The ubc port does 65w output?
the Ally X comes out in one month and has more ram, twice the battery, charges at 100W instead of 65!! and more. I have mine preordered after returning my Ally!
@@wwjoshdew lol i ment the battery pack. The usb c port only supports 27w charging output? Or does it also support 65w like the attached cord? Basically im asking if the c port has the same capabilities as the attached c type cord for input and output

537 is anker’s worst product. It’s the only one I can say… stay away from. It has 65 watts of output, but only accepts 20 input. So it takes almost four hours to recharge. Definitely get this one instead.
Hey Josh quick question, I got the same power bank for the same rog ally 7 lol, but I'm trying to charge it with my 67w anker gan charger and it's looking way longer than 1 hour 30 mins to charge to 100, I use the cable built in to the powerbank itself but same results as a 100w rated cable. Any advice welcomed!!
Oh, definitely this. I set a reminder on my phone so I wouldn’t forget. I ONLY use the built in cable! If I need to charge my earbuds, then I use the 2nd output.
@@wwjoshdew I agree, it is very comfortable most of the time, but if it breaks, I won't replace it. And I wonder if it will be possible to charge the powerbank via other USB A or C ports
I just bought this on sale, and it's arriving tomorrow morning. How long does it charge from 0 to 100? Does it really only take 90 minutes? Does it matter if you use the included cord or use a cord in the usb c slot? I'm curious if the input charge is the same regardless which method you use to charge it up.
@wwjoshdew I got the power bank and it was at 20%. An hour later after plugging it in it's at 99 percent. I'm glad I got this power bank!! I got other power banks but most have an input of 20W. This thing is amazing and it has 20k mah capacity! 65 watts input is what I need to get this thing recharged fast!
I am a sucker for built in cables too! With 5A PPS and Pass-Through-Charging, this Powerbank would be absolutely fantastic! 4A PPS is still great though. But finally a fast Powerbank with a built in cable. There are sadly not many on the market. I habe a few, smaller or bigger ones - none of them tops 30W.
Thanks man! This thing is my favorite built in cable power bank at the moment. High output and high input!! Plus I don’t need to find a cable. I love it!

Only found your channel just before you posted this review. really loving the content and the information you provide. this power bank looks really nice and I dont need one very often, mainly for phone, vape, kids tablets and rarely a laptop but is this worth me throwing in my edc sling bag or would u recommend something smaller/lighter for edc/day trips out? £60 on UK amazon which seems like a very good deal for the product im getting, but the size and weight are my main concerns for a small sling bag. Thanks :)
This one is definitely more for power hungry devices. I really like the basesus 30w charger that I briefly showed in this video. th-cam.com/video/1bFP0GG-11w/w-d-xo.html
If you play it while it's at 100 I found that I dropped 40 percent in about 1 hr, 30mins 30w and 30 mins in the 15w mode, I was using a Playstation 2 emu, so with a triple a game maybe atleast 1 to 2 times the usage of battery alone, so best case scenario 3x the battery, worst case 2x the battery overall
Well you do have a valid point that USB C and fast charging is the trend and it’s here to stay. So does standard usb charging. Even with my iPhone 15 Pro max I still use a 12W wall charger because if you are not in a rush you do not need to use fast charging. Same for my iPad Air 5th with a 20W charger. It helps with battery health and longevity overall. But yes I do use fast charge when I’m out and about and with a power bank/GaN wall charger.
Agreed. I have a usb a to c charger by my bed. But if you’re connected to a power bank… it’s only supposed to be temporary. So why not spend as little time connected to one as possible? Lol
