Thank you for talking about the labour issues behind the animation issues. I think its a good opportunity for the beyblade community to talk about the horrendous conditions animators work under. I'm sure many share my feelings that I hate that this show and these toys I love are coming at the cost of the workers' health and happiness. When it comes to the animation itself, I think its not just that there is a lack of energy or dynamic animation, as there are quite a few popular anime out there which lack much of that, but that the art itself is pretty low quality. Its difficult for me as a non artist to describe why, but I look at any frame of X and compare it with any frame of another beyblade series and I can tell that a lot more effort and care went into the other series. You can have animes with a lack of dynamic movement, or animes with a lack of detail, but when you lack both it just is so much worse. Also loved the collab with Nizuma, you two are probably two of my fave beytubers.
I have no issue with the art style but the story is so slow and feels like it’s supposed to be another show and not Beyblade feels kinda weird like it might be in the beywheels universe
Really wished they went for a more dramatic approach to the battles as the bey battles in real life are already so fast. Imagine trying to emulate those same fast battles episodically while also somehow trying to stretch them out to fit the episode lengths. I hope the battles grow in scale like they did in metal fight, where beys practically became weapons of mass destruction. It sounds absurd, yeah, but it was that exaggerated nature that made battling with the same beys in real life that much more fun. I hope X takes a similar approach as the series grows.
And that’s why I love metal fight … it felt like you actually got your money worth … beys spent and battle longer and you didn’t have to find pieces after it comes apart (burst system)

The super hype fights appealed to younger and older audiences alike.
It's not even clear who the protagonist is 😢 wikipedia says that it's Bird. Fandom(beyblade.fandom) says that Kamen X is the Main Character and that Bird is the Deuteragonist.. What even is that? Google says that Kurosu, Bird and Muti are all Protagonists..

OLM is in a weird place right now, their budget is being used for Pokemon Horizons which beautifully animated for the most episodes, and have the best animators they could find, but now they have Beyblade X as well so either they divide the budget equally between the two animes or one of the animes will suffer. And as much as I like Beyblade I don't want Pokemon Horizons to suffer because of it
Even so, their decisions for this generation seem very odd compared to past generations and that’s saying something cause animators have much more advanced technology to work with nowadays.
I haven't watched the new episode but from what I see, its continuing the sort of universe approach that burst had where they function way more like toys. Sounds dumb I know, their tops but I can't get behind the battles when i can just experience it with the actual tops. I miss the metal series approach to its battles and stories because it feels massive, fantastical and not small or goofy. The beys in metal series feels alive and more important. Thats really my only big complaint, I'm perfectly fine with the art style, and if the battles were much closer to metal series then i would give the beyblade spinning animation a pass.
I agree there wasn’t enough speed. The whole gimmick of this season is speed but I hope to see more soon. I also would’ve liked if the anime came out a little later so there’s enough time to get a good product.
I don't really mind the animation, but my biggest problem with the first episode was definitely the showcase of the Xtreme Dash. In the manga, it felt crazier because the panel after X launched his bey the battle ended, while in the anime they showed the entire thing instead of it appearing instant. I also preferred it without the avatar tbh but that wasn't that big of a problem.
Though it's only one episode, my opinion as of now (subject to change) is that Burst has better visuals but X has waaaay better writing, but I can understand the circumstances behind X's production apparently being troublesome which may partially explain the mediocre animation.

Only issue i have with the show is the mc. He didn’t win a single battle, and thats no overexaggeration. He literally didn’t win a single fight in any episode. Even when he got a new bey. I get making an mc seem weak at first is a pretty common cliché but in this case, they're just making him look pathetic
@edgynisme oh that makes more sense. But tbh he gets little screentime for a mc. That's why I thought bard was the mc because it seems like most of the episodes where focused on him
The anime's good and all but I prefer burst designs of beys more it just gives more energy tho but the story is cool tho I’m excited to see what happens next!!!
Really glad my thoughts made it into the video! Overall Beyblade X I feel as an anime has the potential to be one of the better generations of beyblade! I feel like if they improve on some minor issues, this can be great!
Anyone noticed birds hawk bey was just Wizard arrow with a different sticker on top and team phalanx’s moumtain bey was just a knight shield with a different sticker on top, whereas in the manga birds hawk bey was a completely different bey altogether and team phalanx had their own actual different bey
I didn't follow the Burst anime series but from I've seen from clips on TH-cam, all the battles look and feel the same. Compare this to the original Bakuten Shoot Beyblade and G Revolution, where almost every battle took place in a unique stadium/environment. The X anime is giving me Burst vibes, and that's obviously because it's the same animation studio doing it. Take Takao versus Rei in Episode 37 of G Revolution for example, I bet there is nothing in Burst as dynamic and explosive as that battle was.
Nah there are some explosive battles like Shu vs Valt and Free vs Lui in S2, Phi vs Shu, Aiger and Free in S3, Pax vs Aiger in S7 and those are just the ones I remember being insane
I'm currently up to episode 13 and I completely agree... I'm really disappointed with the battles so far as there's just no hooks! For a main character, Bird feels super underwhelming and his failure streak is just going on too long it's actually eye rolling.. and all the fights are just simply the same format of Xtreme dash till your opponent is down 😐
i really cant wrap my mind around beyblades after metal fight. those were peak. after that beyblades just didnt feel like beyblades it was too plastic or just overdesigned, metal fight beyblades had the best design its hard to explain

Like yes, let’s get the guy who made an anime about girls screaming and gambling and the guy who made an anime about a child farm for demons to make the next Beyblade generation 🤦
Im new to beyblade this generation and i was kind of surprised how much everyone was ragging on the animation. To me the animation was of similar quality to your typical 6-7/10 animes that come out every season. And im ok with that. You kind of have to accept the fact that not everything can get demon slayer or jjk level animation especially on a show that will release 50 eps in a year. While its ok to criticise the animation i think people need to temper their expectations comsidering everything we have heard about animator burnout. Also in regards to catching up with the manga, i imagine they have a general storyboard layed out for a decent chunk of the season that the manga will follow as well so i dont see that being a massive issue. Just my opinion tho, no hate towards anyone.
That’s good but I don’t like demon slayer because there’s just too much violence. I don’t care about the animation much unless there are very troubling scenes I can’t ignore. Demon slayer is not comfortable to watch 😢 I think only I feel a that way
as an animator myself, we get heavily rushed on projects the lower quality of animation is the product of us being rushed to finish projects. the animation isn't really the problem it's the time we are given you said if we would get a couple of mouths to work on the project sorry to break it to you but we don't get a couple of mouths to work on a project, unless you Disney. the guy was pretty much spot-on if you want I could tell you more about it.
My prediction of the English Beyblade X. Beyblade X is renamed as Beyblade Extreme. Hells Scythe is renamed as Heatscyther. Dran Sword is renamed as Slashdragon. Wizard Arrow is renamed as Archwitch. And Knight Shield is renamed as Knightblocker.
It’s not that bad, I kinda enjoy it. But tbh the first ep of burst season 1 was more enjoyable for some reason, idk if it’s bc of nostalgia or shiz but burst too me was genuinely a good series. I know its late but i can’t shake the feeling that burst just did the avatars and battles more justice. Sure, the writing is a little better, but if you can’t make the battles seem intense or thrilling, people will just give up on the series
this is my personal opinion about beyblade x, i've already watched the recent episodes of beyblade x, and personally, i dont like this series, the constant pacing, the same repetitive story, i mean there is nothing inprovement from the characters, even you can predict who's going to win on the next episode, unlike the past era, for now i want to stop watching it, until there is something good on the show.
Okay, I'm gonna say about this like I said about Yu-gi-oh sevens anime 3 years ago. For someone who doesn't like beyblade X anime or any versions of it, I'm a big hardcore beyblade fan. And I been checked out the promo and cutscenes of the anime, and it feels like heaven with X only 10 times cooler than the burst series. And I'm a big fan of all of them like all Yu-gi-oh anime including sevens and I fully never got around go rush yet. But regardless how it seems on it, just because you don't like the new anime that's came out, doesn't means every fan who wants to watch it not going to turn it down. I'm going to see the show in sub and mostly in dub version whether some of you like it or not. I'm expecting more of the anime, and I'm gonna enjoy it!!
I honestly feel like the artstyle of the Beyblade anime specifically has been consistent since V-Force, which was season 2 of the original series. The characters have been fairly consistent in eye & body shape.
Watching Pokémon Horizons really shows how much more has gone into Horizons rather than Beyblade X in terms of everything, and while I’m happy Horizons is doing very well and visually looks beautiful since i am a massive fan of it, I do wish Beyblade X was better since while I don’t hate it, it doesn’t have the spark that burst had
Pretty much. I think besides some corny dialogue and bad voice acting(in the dub) plastic gen had good battle pacing to me. MFB was too long and they didn’t feel like spin tops, burst relied on multiple rounds a bit too much.
Only thing I didn't like was the speed of everything happening. Like bird looses a battle and his firsts just ditch him, then after a min he finds the blue haired guy, then etc. It's to fast!!!
I guess we shall see how well it is! My rule for any TV shows is to give it 3 episodes lol. I actually liked the first episode. A lot of people compare most animes with the Mangas but the Mangas are almost always better than the anime. But either way, it's Beyblade, beyblade is life, and I'm happy haha
Okay it's only episode one and people complaining about animation in I'm not even sure in what area. If they mean any part that's not the battles, I don't know why we would need high quality animation outside of those. It's mostly people talking. I dunno, it just sounds like complaining just to complain at that point
I don’t really have any complaints with the animation, I feel like this is another problem with video games, like how the graphics and CGI are only getting slightly better, like I think the CGI is an upgrade from burst, but just slightly, and I feel like the CGI growth gap between generations are only going to get a lot smaller, so overall, I’m satisfied with the animation
It's not bad for me. It's just super underwhelming. I had high hopes due to the animator/illustrator but it turned out SOOOOOO mid. I hope they pick up the quality at the end of the season or at least on season 2.
Ginka, Kenta, Ryuga, Kayoya, Madoka, Benkei, Hayoma, Yu, Tsubasa, Ryo, Hakarae, Sora. Kai, Tyson, (the shogun steel characters) They're the only characters i want to see again. 100% screen time
I really like Beyblade X, it's very good just like Metal Fusion and Burst. The new Bakugan started airing in Hungary in october too, so I started watching side-by-side the two. This Bakugan is way better than disasater 2nd series, but far behind Beyblade X, so I was amazed how they can do this good why Bakugan can't make an atleast watchable series. The animation of X not the greatest, but still very good and if you wanna see garbage animation watch scenes from Bakugan Battle Planet or this 3rd series without side title, while they only make 26 10 minutes episodes per season, while Beyblade 51. So Beyblade X have it's flaws, but for me it's a really enjoyable series and as a long time Bakugan fan I just hope Bakugan will ever make a reboot series that will be close to the quality of Metal Fusion, Burst and X in terms of story and animation.
I totally agree illinuc, if they can get that perfect middle ground between how battles were in metal fight and how battles were in burst they would strike gold IMO. Just that strict style of how the battles are kind of gets boring after awhile after seeing it so much. We can’t really judge too much at the end of the day as it’s only the first episode.
Wish people understood just how labor intensive it is for animators in Japan. As if these aren't human beings being slaved away for peoples "entertainment". Literally adapting a multitude of shows but somehow it gets boiled down to "laziness". 🤷🏾♀️
I admit, I was hesitant about this show at first because I did not like the Burst era but the type of the X beyblades brought me back in and not only do I love this new generation of the game but I love the show. I like the characters, the story and how realistic and relatable it feels. 😁👍👍 That being said, the Fusion - Shotgun era will always be nostalgic and hold a place in my heart. ☺️
since i already read the manga, i already knew what was gonna happen. ypu guys are right about the animation and the animators. the best thing about the beyblade x anime for me (and as a beyblade fan i'm ashamed to say it 😖) is the opening and ending themes.
There are small differences between the manga and the anime for beyblade X 😊 I’ve seen the manga and have a feeling the anime will be a little bit more different
i think it was pretty fun, not to much bla bla, many battles and that drum and bass music during battles kicks so much ass. who knows the title of the track?
the battles look like theyll be nice aesthetically while at the same time having no substance. and i think that'll be the show itself. the animation itself will be nice but the story will be basic. like they dont even call out their bey's names or talk about their features and they rarely use special moves.
To be fair, beyblade never had a "good animation" in comparison to some other animes, i rewatched burst and metal fight some time ago and it was never really high budget, especially character interaction animation. Beyblade always shines the most with battles and i think it was alright, tbh burst battles were MUCH worse in the beggining, especially when were talking about slow-bey animation.
To be fair, burst also didn't start out crazy good It was decent while evolution being the peak of it I hope this one turns out good But honestly Nothing could beat the original series Also metal series i guess
What I’m gonna miss is the inque bit beasts and one of kind. Beyblades like from the original and burst series with metal fight and X everybody seems to have a copy of a bet so, there’s no individuality or creativity moves on each character. That’s just my feelings
I realy like the series. Something that I enjoy a lot is that there are much more adult bladers. My only problem is that Ekusu takes so much spotlight from Bird. There were several scenes that had a lot of potential for Bird to grow as a character but Ekusu made it feel like more as a joke. I dont mind that Bird loses so often but the scenes where he grows as a character could have been so much better. I've just watched some more episodes and Birds lose streak gets a bit crazy. I hope that changes soon. The gap between his team members is way too far.
I feel like the animation is fine, like what do we want? Demon slayer animation? And I like the concept of Beyblade X and besides it's just the 1st ep so let the plot cook.
Call me Old gen, boomer whatever you would like but the Original Beyblade series and Metal series are still unbeatable in designs, story, art, form and every single thing you can name. Characters in metal series were already a large departure from what original beyblade looked like but things seemed to fit in over time.

man i feel bad for the anime its gonna compete for other series like jujutsu kaisen, mushouku tensei, and most recently undead unluck. all of them have animations leagues better than beyblade will ever have as long as they kept on hiring the same animation studio. honestly if takara tomy was really serious about taking beyblade into mainstream they shouldve hired another animation studio.
I love besblade but I really dont like the cgi beyblades.... Ok see the early cgi beyblades in the first gen were fine imo but the cgi looks so slow and clean it feels super boring. Back when it was drawn they had cool smear effects and distortions then early cgi beyblades suffer the same problems than now but they looked at least faster
animation for beyblade was at its best in beyblade burst chozetzu and metal fight beyblade. And to all the burst fanboys that’s mad about beyblade X,beyblade burst was good but it should have ended earlier with beyblade burst GT because after GT the beys just got worse in every way possible and the anime became complete garbage
I think the only problem that i had with the first chapter of beyblade X(anime), aside from the animation, is the style of drawing the characters. In the manga the drawing is MUCH more expresive than the anime, like the panel when strike hawk is destroyed by a pro blader and the pro blader does a face that looks S I C K. The anime kinda lost that charm of the manga... Or even in general, the anime kinda "softs(?)" the drawing in general for more easy animation. (Also the generic public npcs... They're just the beyblade bursy ones man)
For God's sake. I'm ashamed to like beyblade because of fans like this guy. Burst fans are turning into metal fight fans. Metal fight fans hated burst to an unhealthy degree and attacked people for liking burst. Now we have burst fans doing the same. I like all bwyblade generations they're all really cool and I loved the first episode of x cause it adapted the manga perfectly. You need to give it a chance. They're not gonna send the series swinging right out of the gate. They have to set the stage and that takes time. Wait until we're midway through the season before you start taking a fat dump on it just because you like a previous beyblade series better. I agree. I have seen this happen with a lot of new things. I still liked burst, and it's one of my favs, but I don't hate the new one. Fot me. I'm just glad that veyvlade itself is still going, and I personally really want the new one to succeed as well. All generations have their goods and bads, and I think it's ok to have an opinion as long as you're not bashing everyone else. The same thing happened with tmnt when the new one came out in 2018; nobody gave it the time of day, but then it slowly started to grow on people. And who says one has to be better than the other? Why can't both be just as good? I was excited when they announced the new beyblade gen. Even though the burst was ending and it was bittersweet for me, I still like to see what the new generation has in store😊

Where is the aura where the hype inside the bey that colorful aura it should be and the byeblade will be back to normal they should make the story more interesting just like until beyblade turbo everything mostly boring in burst but i still watched it but they should improve big beasts where are the the awesome crazy monsters and diff power moves and ultimate moves its missing we need something better
Honestly, there things that I like about the X beys and thing that don't like about the X beys names like Drain Sword, Hell Scythe, and Leon Claw sound dope, they should go back to mythical gods, heroes, and creatures, like shougun steel and the burst saga and beys are kinda a ripoff to the original saga because of the design of the chip, it looks like the design off of the original beys, come on! but I like how they use steel or metal again. Honestly they need to restart on both the X saga, elevate the tops using like the crystal or metal face bolt instead of the chips.
Tbh, im very old school, grewed up with the original show with the bit beasts, that show/ series will never be toppled over with all this new stuff, i didn't mind metal masters series, I didn't like burst due not finding it enjoyable to watch, but Beyblade x is different, i like thr entire approach to the road to become pro level, looks really interesting.
Le truc ces que la mangaka qui s’occupe des dessin pour Beyblade X à fait The Promised Neverland qui est plutôt dark et gore donc normal que sont style de dessin fait quelques chose de différent sur un anime qui vise des enfants, on peut voir ce même genre d’animation sur l’anime de The Promised Neverland. Le truc que je trouve dommage ces que l’anime est pas plus sombre dans sont ambiance, avec une trame narrative et du développement de personnages, la seul saison de Beyblade qui ces rapprocher de ça ces Métal Fury, il faut vraiment qu’il laisse plus de liberté à la mangaka et de faire un anime cool à regarder.
Honestly staying true to the manga is the bare minimum. The animation is stiff, the colors are too dull, and so far the battles aren’t too interesting. As an anime adaptation, it’s not very good. The story looks decent enough so far though.
I honestly don't have a problem with the animation. It seems clean to me and the battles still look entertaining. That being said, I'm only five episodes in. 😁👍👍

Beyblade X faces are giving plastic gen era beys, like Dragoon, that imo, isn't the best. Hopefully the next evolution has more intricate designs for the faces

the fights are boring as hell and is there even lore to this anime like it only has 1 episode per Saturday it sucks like Bayblade burst,evolution,turbo and all the other season are way better and like who even is the protagonist in this anime is it really bladed x or what
I was excited when the anime came out but it lost my interest more and more. Every battle is predictable. 3V3 battles always play out the same. Bird loses, Multi wins because it wouldn't work if she loses and Kamen, our hero and greatest beyblader in the world wins, because it would be oh so horrible if a main character loses. Hell, even Gingka who is arguably the most OP protagonist in Beyblade lost sometimes.

Even so, their decisions for this generation seem very odd compared to past generations and that’s saying something cause animators have much more advanced technology to work with nowadays.

I haven't watched the new episode but from what I see, its continuing the sort of universe approach that burst had where they function way more like toys. Sounds dumb I know, their tops but I can't get behind the battles when i can just experience it with the actual tops. I miss the metal series approach to its battles and stories because it feels massive, fantastical and not small or goofy. The beys in metal series feels alive and more important. Thats really my only big complaint, I'm perfectly fine with the art style, and if the battles were much closer to metal series then i would give the beyblade spinning animation a pass.
You can say that also about burst turbo even though they look like toys the fights were still cool
I agree there wasn’t enough speed. The whole gimmick of this season is speed but I hope to see more soon. I also would’ve liked if the anime came out a little later so there’s enough time to get a good product.
I don't really mind the animation, but my biggest problem with the first episode was definitely the showcase of the Xtreme Dash. In the manga, it felt crazier because the panel after X launched his bey the battle ended, while in the anime they showed the entire thing instead of it appearing instant. I also preferred it without the avatar tbh but that wasn't that big of a problem.
Though it's only one episode, my opinion as of now (subject to change) is that Burst has better visuals but X has waaaay better writing, but I can understand the circumstances behind X's production apparently being troublesome which may partially explain the mediocre animation.

Only issue i have with the show is the mc. He didn’t win a single battle, and thats no overexaggeration. He literally didn’t win a single fight in any episode. Even when he got a new bey. I get making an mc seem weak at first is a pretty common cliché but in this case, they're just making him look pathetic

Anyone noticed birds hawk bey was just Wizard arrow with a different sticker on top and team phalanx’s moumtain bey was just a knight shield with a different sticker on top, whereas in the manga birds hawk bey was a completely different bey altogether and team phalanx had their own actual different bey
I didn't follow the Burst anime series but from I've seen from clips on TH-cam, all the battles look and feel the same. Compare this to the original Bakuten Shoot Beyblade and G Revolution, where almost every battle took place in a unique stadium/environment. The X anime is giving me Burst vibes, and that's obviously because it's the same animation studio doing it. Take Takao versus Rei in Episode 37 of G Revolution for example, I bet there is nothing in Burst as dynamic and explosive as that battle was.
Nah there are some explosive battles like Shu vs Valt and Free vs Lui in S2, Phi vs Shu, Aiger and Free in S3, Pax vs Aiger in S7 and those are just the ones I remember being insane

I'm currently up to episode 13 and I completely agree... I'm really disappointed with the battles so far as there's just no hooks! For a main character, Bird feels super underwhelming and his failure streak is just going on too long it's actually eye rolling.. and all the fights are just simply the same format of Xtreme dash till your opponent is down 😐

i really cant wrap my mind around beyblades after metal fight. those were peak. after that beyblades just didnt feel like beyblades it was too plastic or just overdesigned, metal fight beyblades had the best design its hard to explain

Im new to beyblade this generation and i was kind of surprised how much everyone was ragging on the animation. To me the animation was of similar quality to your typical 6-7/10 animes that come out every season. And im ok with that. You kind of have to accept the fact that not everything can get demon slayer or jjk level animation especially on a show that will release 50 eps in a year. While its ok to criticise the animation i think people need to temper their expectations comsidering everything we have heard about animator burnout. Also in regards to catching up with the manga, i imagine they have a general storyboard layed out for a decent chunk of the season that the manga will follow as well so i dont see that being a massive issue. Just my opinion tho, no hate towards anyone.
I agree it’s not going to be JJK top tier, but I DO think that early burst looked a bit better. x is just a little sloppy, atleast for right now.

as an animator myself, we get heavily rushed on projects the lower quality of animation is the product of us being rushed to finish projects. the animation isn't really the problem it's the time we are given you said if we would get a couple of mouths to work on the project sorry to break it to you but we don't get a couple of mouths to work on a project, unless you Disney. the guy was pretty much spot-on if you want I could tell you more about it.
My prediction of the English Beyblade X. Beyblade X is renamed as Beyblade Extreme. Hells Scythe is renamed as Heatscyther. Dran Sword is renamed as Slashdragon. Wizard Arrow is renamed as Archwitch. And Knight Shield is renamed as Knightblocker.

this is my personal opinion about beyblade x, i've already watched the recent episodes of beyblade x, and personally, i dont like this series, the constant pacing, the same repetitive story, i mean there is nothing inprovement from the characters, even you can predict who's going to win on the next episode, unlike the past era, for now i want to stop watching it, until there is something good on the show.
Okay, I'm gonna say about this like I said about Yu-gi-oh sevens anime 3 years ago. For someone who doesn't like beyblade X anime or any versions of it, I'm a big hardcore beyblade fan. And I been checked out the promo and cutscenes of the anime, and it feels like heaven with X only 10 times cooler than the burst series. And I'm a big fan of all of them like all Yu-gi-oh anime including sevens and I fully never got around go rush yet. But regardless how it seems on it, just because you don't like the new anime that's came out, doesn't means every fan who wants to watch it not going to turn it down. I'm going to see the show in sub and mostly in dub version whether some of you like it or not. I'm expecting more of the anime, and I'm gonna enjoy it!!

I honestly feel like the artstyle of the Beyblade anime specifically has been consistent since V-Force, which was season 2 of the original series. The characters have been fairly consistent in eye & body shape.
Watching Pokémon Horizons really shows how much more has gone into Horizons rather than Beyblade X in terms of everything, and while I’m happy Horizons is doing very well and visually looks beautiful since i am a massive fan of it, I do wish Beyblade X was better since while I don’t hate it, it doesn’t have the spark that burst had

Pretty much. I think besides some corny dialogue and bad voice acting(in the dub) plastic gen had good battle pacing to me. MFB was too long and they didn’t feel like spin tops, burst relied on multiple rounds a bit too much.

If they mean any part that's not the battles, I don't know why we would need high quality animation outside of those. It's mostly people talking. I don’t really have any complaints with the animation, I feel like this is another problem with video games, like how the graphics and CGI are only getting slightly better, like I think the CGI is an upgrade from burst, but just slightly, and I feel like the CGI growth gap between generations are only going to get a lot smaller, so overall, I’m satisfied with the animation
It's not bad for me. It's just super underwhelming. I had high hopes due to the animator/illustrator but it turned out SOOOOOO mid. I hope they pick up the quality at the end of the season or at least on season 2.

I really like Beyblade X, it's very good just like Metal Fusion and Burst. The new Bakugan started airing in Hungary in october too, so I started watching side-by-side the two. This Bakugan is way better than disasater 2nd series, but far behind Beyblade X, so I was amazed how they can do this good why Bakugan can't make an atleast watchable series. The animation of X not the greatest, but still very good and if you wanna see garbage animation watch scenes from Bakugan Battle Planet or this 3rd series without side title, while they only make 26 10 minutes episodes per season, while Beyblade 51.
So Beyblade X have it's flaws, but for me it's a really enjoyable series and as a long time Bakugan fan I just hope Bakugan will ever make a reboot series that will be close to the quality of Metal Fusion, Burst and X in terms of story and animation.
I totally agree illinuc, if they can get that perfect middle ground between how battles were in metal fight and how battles were in burst they would strike gold IMO. Just that strict style of how the battles are kind of gets boring after awhile after seeing it so much. We can’t really judge too much at the end of the day as it’s only the first episode.

I admit, I was hesitant about this show at first because I did not like the Burst era but the type of the X beyblades brought me back in and not only do I love this new generation of the game but I love the show. I like the characters, the story and how realistic and relatable it feels. 😁👍👍
That being said, the Fusion - Shotgun era will always be nostalgic and hold a place in my heart. ☺️

since i already read the manga, i already knew what was gonna happen. ypu guys are right about the animation and the animators. the best thing about the beyblade x anime for me (and as a beyblade fan i'm ashamed to say it 😖) is the opening and ending themes.

the battles look like theyll be nice aesthetically while at the same time having no substance. and i think that'll be the show itself. the animation itself will be nice but the story will be basic. like they dont even call out their bey's names or talk about their features and they rarely use special moves.

To be fair, beyblade never had a "good animation" in comparison to some other animes, i rewatched burst and metal fight some time ago and it was never really high budget, especially character interaction animation. Beyblade always shines the most with battles and i think it was alright, tbh burst battles were MUCH worse in the beggining, especially when were talking about slow-bey animation.

I realy like the series. Something that I enjoy a lot is that there are much more adult bladers. My only problem is that Ekusu takes so much spotlight from Bird. There were several scenes that had a lot of potential for Bird to grow as a character but Ekusu made it feel like more as a joke. I dont mind that Bird loses so often but the scenes where he grows as a character could have been so much better.
I've just watched some more episodes and Birds lose streak gets a bit crazy. I hope that changes soon. The gap between his team members is way too far.

man i feel bad for the anime its gonna compete for other series like jujutsu kaisen, mushouku tensei, and most recently undead unluck. all of them have animations leagues better than beyblade will ever have as long as they kept on hiring the same animation studio. honestly if takara tomy was really serious about taking beyblade into mainstream they shouldve hired another animation studio.
I love besblade but I really dont like the cgi beyblades.... Ok see the early cgi beyblades in the first gen were fine imo but the cgi looks so slow and clean it feels super boring.
Back when it was drawn they had cool smear effects and distortions then early cgi beyblades suffer the same problems than now but they looked at least faster

I think the only problem that i had with the first chapter of beyblade X(anime), aside from the animation, is the style of drawing the characters.
In the manga the drawing is MUCH more expresive than the anime, like the panel when strike hawk is destroyed by a pro blader and the pro blader does a face that looks S I C K.
The anime kinda lost that charm of the manga... Or even in general, the anime kinda "softs(?)" the drawing in general for more easy animation.
(Also the generic public npcs... They're just the beyblade bursy ones man)

For God's sake. I'm ashamed to like beyblade because of fans like this guy. Burst fans are turning into metal fight fans. Metal fight fans hated burst to an unhealthy degree and attacked people for liking burst. Now we have burst fans doing the same. I like all bwyblade generations they're all really cool and I loved the first episode of x cause it adapted the manga perfectly. You need to give it a chance. They're not gonna send the series swinging right out of the gate. They have to set the stage and that takes time. Wait until we're midway through the season before you start taking a fat dump on it just because you like a previous beyblade series better. And hopefully the beyblade community can just agree to let people enjoy what they like instead of threatening someone just cause they like one series better than the one they like.i have had a metal fight fan threaten me cause I liked burst so I know that their are fans like that out there.

I agree. I have seen this happen with a lot of new things. I still liked burst, and it's one of my favs, but I don't hate the new one. Fot me. I'm just glad that veyvlade itself is still going, and I personally really want the new one to succeed as well.
All generations have their goods and bads, and I think it's ok to have an opinion as long as you're not bashing everyone else.
The same thing happened with tmnt when the new one came out in 2018; nobody gave it the time of day, but then it slowly started to grow on people. And who says one has to be better than the other? Why can't both be just as good?
I was excited when they announced the new beyblade gen. Even though the burst was ending and it was bittersweet for me, I still like to see what the new generation has in store😊

Honestly, there things that I like about the X beys and thing that don't like about the X beys names like Drain Sword, Hell Scythe, and Leon Claw sound dope, they should go back to mythical gods, heroes, and creatures, like shougun steel and the burst saga and beys are kinda a ripoff to the original saga because of the design of the chip, it looks like the design off of the original beys, come on! but I like how they use steel or metal again. Honestly they need to restart on both the X saga, elevate the tops using like the crystal or metal face bolt instead of the chips.

Tbh, im very old school, grewed up with the original show with the bit beasts, that show/ series will never be toppled over with all this new stuff, i didn't mind metal masters series, I didn't like burst due not finding it enjoyable to watch, but Beyblade x is different, i like thr entire approach to the road to become pro level, looks really interesting.

Le truc ces que la mangaka qui s’occupe des dessin pour Beyblade X à fait The Promised Neverland qui est plutôt dark et gore donc normal que sont style de dessin fait quelques chose de différent sur un anime qui vise des enfants, on peut voir ce même genre d’animation sur l’anime de The Promised Neverland.
Le truc que je trouve dommage ces que l’anime est pas plus sombre dans sont ambiance, avec une trame narrative et du développement de personnages, la seul saison de Beyblade qui ces rapprocher de ça ces Métal Fury, il faut vraiment qu’il laisse plus de liberté à la mangaka et de faire un anime cool à regarder.
Honestly staying true to the manga is the bare minimum. The animation is stiff, the colors are too dull, and so far the battles aren’t too interesting.
As an anime adaptation, it’s not very good.
The story looks decent enough so far though.
I honestly don't have a problem with the animation. It seems clean to me and the battles still look entertaining. That being said, I'm only five episodes in. 😁👍👍
