I feel like so far, X is so much better than the closest parallel, Metal Fight. The blades in metal fight used to look incredibly alike. Everything was round with only slight variations.
Yeah thats the big issue with MFB... that's what makes cross customization like the system in the video hard. TT has to do it the right way or else the system is gonna be boring.

Lolno Takara Tomy employs real engineers who understand how physics interacts with the parts. If you look at the ratchets this guy makes, you will realize they are all useless. This guy is just a graphic designer. It shouldn't be taken so seriously just because it looks cool.

I’m new to Beyblade, I got into it a few months ago with X and I already feel like it will be one of those hobbies I keep for a long time, that being said I actually like the simplicity of it so far… seeing how burst was gives me anxiety honestly and I hope X doesn’t get thattt complicated. Anyone else feel the same way?
@@darce4281I think by that they meant the DB system! People just say that the end system of burst is complicated even though it’s just DB or kinda Sparking. People also say that the near ending of burst got so stamina dominated even though it was just once again DB! Even in sparking attack was better to use! Db is the last season so it puts stuff in the other seasons of burst

2:25 Not a fan of giving ratchets their own name, that would create more confusing than anything. The numbered name serves their purpose like how they did it in Metal Fight's spin track, no reason to give them actual names unless it's a fusion between the ratchet and the bit. Bursts made sense cause there was no height as part of the gimmick. So it wouldn't translate well to a height dependent system.
Hmm... good point. Its like a catch 22. If we get parts like "12-60" then all the numbers start to get kinda confusing/ugly when saying the combo. If parts get a name, it visually looks better and its more memorable BUT that would result in more confusion as to what the part actually is.

i fell like the number system is still kinda bad cause like what would you name a rachet that also has 5 contact points sticking out but it's kinda different to the one we have right now like a different shape how would you name that? cause i highly doubt there's only gonna be one 5 bladed rachet
I wish the other beys were as cool as the Phoenix design. The other beys look rather boring compared to Phoenix. Like keel shark, the design for it could have been way cooler like a Mako shark & not a pregnant great white.
It's too early to declare Hasbro is making original designs. Initially in previous seasons also it's used to do exact copies until gimmicks really come. Once the Beyblade is complex it stops doing real designs
To be able to change what I call the "Energy Core" the Metal Attack ring & the Bit-Chip would be really cool and make for unlimited potential for customization, I hope they go down this route to let us mix & match any part we want ❤
As a new player the ratchets not being named has been so nice I tried to get in to burst and everything had its own name and none of it meant anything and was really confusing the numbers are easily and instantly understandable.
I LOVE the interchanging parts. It's so Metal Saga. However, just like Metal Saga, it's very round. What the designer should have done was Utilize the 3 prongs center that all X beys have. Allow that outer ring to intrude into the inner design with a unique combo. Maybe even the inner design still has its prongs and they overlap. Now every single combo from inner and outer rings will have their own cool look. Like a double >> that focuses in to the center gear. Plus, this will allow the parts to line up more easily without letting them slip by accident. Resulting a more sturdy customization bey.
Why does everyone hate on Rudder’s avatar? It’s the vermilion bird! Dran is the Azure Dragon, Weiss Tiger is the White Tiger, and Black Shell is the Black Tortoise! It’s a reference to Chinese mythology!
Because its not the Vermillion bird! Phoenix's avatar is a phoenix and not based on Chinese Mythology. Its not meant to be like the team pendragon beys. There is no Vermillion Bird bey yet. I am hoping Bird gets it but so far there is none.
@@clocktamer Its just a phoenix. They look similar but they are different mythological creatures. Phoenix Rudder also has a different design, naming convention and doesn't have a the bakuten shoot logo like the pendragon beys. Its clearly not meant to have connection with them

For me I hope the ratchet does stay with number and not having a name like in the burst era. They could have like spike 3 -60 . Like the same ratchet but with different shapes or something
Dude this new series reminds me of beyblade metal and the plastic gen. I never really found the burst ones to be appealing as they felt to cosmetic and felt too weak. But with beyblade x, it takes the strength of the metal series and the cool simplistic designs of the plastic gen while making it more intense and much more fun with xtreme dash line. All in all, been 13 years since i had my first beyblade storm pegasus. Now i get to have my second beyblades now. Im happy with it and im having waay to much fun

I like the simplicity and easy description of the numbers for the Ratchets. I do not want the Beys to become named "Gigashungus Maxxus-Goonite Mk3 Ver.Z 42-5ASL Dispenser of Refreshments and Butter Enjoyer".

I would prefer a diferent method with lts pros and cons like UX to dont let the other series obsolete. Is annoying that to be competitive you need to buey the new except of being creative with all series
in my opinion i like how simple the beyblades are rn in its current state battles just seem more fun and enjoyable than your average wizard rod battles i know well see gimmicks and other fun mechanics be out into beys but im going to enjoy how it is right now
I think it'd be cool to have 2 variants of some of the key attack types focused on different height configurations. So for example a flipped shark edge so you can built low and uppercut or build high and punch down
One thing I hope TT *doesn't* do is "do a Burst" and power creep Beys year after year by introducing quad chips and god layers and ass-clappers and whatever else they can think of. If they truly want X to be competitive, they need to keep things relatively consistent throughout the line's lifespan. And I know people complain that the meta is pretty shallow for X right now, but I'm absolutely serious when I say Beys like Wizard Rod should *still* be in the meta at the end of X, only more Beys introduced will have also entered the meta, too. It's all about diversity of part selection, and you'll just never achieve that if they power-creep older Beys. However, I'm also ready for them to spice up ratchets. By far the least interesting component of X's system. Gimme some ball bearings or some free-spinning, rubber-coated shenanigans. Just give us something. Make ratchets do stuff other than burst resistance, and that'll put a big dent in 9-60. Trust. Again, it's about diversity of part selection, and if you present people with more options for building their Beys, you're going to see many different combos as a result.
I just wish that in cx they keep a system like db/bu, where the metal is the contacts and the chip is a gimmick, they could do rebound, maybe a free spin chip so any blade you put on it is free spinning, thiz one is kinda crazy but maybe a chip with the gimmick of phoenix, so you could have any blade shoot like the phoenix armor or maybe something like blast genios (not sure jow to spell that) where it changes height, and im not sure how but they could do the helios volcano, my favorite burst gimmick. Basicly making both the blade and the chip have something to bring to the table, adding the mix and match potential of cx, and avoiding boring same-y repeating pointless parts
I repeat that if we get blades that could be changed with other beys will be the biggest L ever! Imagine having Hellssword or Pheonixclaw, because the ONLY thing that will be different is the name and the performance will STAY THE SAME. In burst this was amazing because some chips were heavier while some have higher burst resistance and some were dual spin plus in DB they had a lot of gimmicks. Such stuff is not possible in X because of the system. The biggest problem is just remembering the names for no stupid reason!
I love all these designs and i can totally see tt following the molds for the different layers of the beys. One issue though. As an engineer, i don’t see any manufacturing, from the demo, how the metal section can latch into the plastic section of the layer.
The CX line of Beyblade X looks so fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥 even though they are not real .... yet 😁. I can't wait for them to come out. I can't believe Beyblade X is already a year old, time flies doesn't it 😊?
I really like the Dran Slash and Hells Furnace because Hells Furnace a nice Red and Black color combo and Dran Slash gives me Lost Longinus vibes also he should make a Strike Hawk variant called Smash Hawk or something also I love your videos please keep up the good work

Those beys looks insane! But I stick with TT numbering the rachet than giving its a name because kinda hard to come up new beys with new names if the names have been used for rachet too.
I am down for unique named ratchets if they keep the labelling system of X-XX, it's really handy comparing parts for purchase so you get a part you want if you're searching for it.
I don't agree with the ratchet thing ya said mate they should keep the number thing going and not just give em names like burst with their disc n such.
It's a great thought but it might make current Beys redundant so TT has to think before doing something unless they make it a part to totally new Series or Season like how they did in OG series switching from Engine Gear Beys to HMS Beys.
I actually don't want more customization in this way. I like how simple X is right now. Just 3 parts, ratchets from 1-60 up to 9-80, give us more bit types as the show goes on, and cooler artwork on the center art. I'd be completely happy.

I really hope we see more customization and color and gimmicks, but what really needs to be improved is the anime. If their going to continue making bird stronger, their Going to HAVE to get better writers, because 75% of the communy doesnt like the anime. But these designs look hella sick, i just hope going forward they can also allow people to create their own custom designs for money, maybe like around 300-1k.
I'm all in for new kind of customization but interchangeable metal ring ain't it. X is so fast and powerful rn, adding 1 more weakpoint, especially if its the metal ring, will ended up more dangerous than useful.
By year 2 of burst we were only onto dual layers. Just because x got an anime at launch doesn’t mean it’s really appropriate to compare it’s year 2 to burst’s year 3

X is just a year now. We have to be patient so we can get tip changing bits like Dranzer, two metal blades where it can change stats or tactics like Gravity Perseus, a ratchet and bit combined to become a base as whole like Ignition from Imperial Dragon and many more....
Imo the 3-piece system is perfect, just worrying about the blade, height, and bit makes BX a lot more friendly to newcomers and vets alike, the fan-made XX kinda feels more like a cosmetic design rather than a complete thing (imo its like catering to people who are just super picky about their bit beasts without a real performance boost -cough-energy ring-cough-
I think Beyblade X advantages are metal and simplicity. I wouldn’t mind keeping a three piece Bey system, with a push for supporting customization with things like polish, markers, paint, and custom stickers placements etc. It would be cool to buy a BX bey that is made for me to customization with third-party tools!
I honestly think swapping the metal parts doesn't add much except for customization sake I guess, the only thing that would make it useful is if the plastic part was special in some way, like if it had a burst stopper, which in my opinion I hope they don't do 'cuz it basically ruined the fun of Burst. Instead, I kinda want them to add an extra thin metal layer (maybe could be called the core) between the blade and the rachet that has metal prongs like the rachet extending in certain directions but hollow in the middle, or with a lot of metal in the middle but no or few prongs extending, so you could upgrade the OWD or IWD of your bey. Could also have some gimmicks, like maybe instead of short metal prongs it's long plastic prongs that prevent you from being able to make contact with the rachet and you have to push them in before you can burst the bey. Just little stuff like that.
I started my beyblade x journey yesterday. I bought the "beyblade x arena with the 2 beyblades" from target , and bought 9 takara tomy beyblade x beys from malloftoys.

In my opinion beyblade X reminds me when beyblade metal fusion first came to the scene, it gives me nostalgia vibes. Especially hearing the metal sound of the beys.!!
I think it would be cool if Multi upgraded to a balance type in the direction of stamina and defense, called Paladin, a warrior with white magic ability who doesn't kill but sheves their sword (see ff4) they are an upgrade of a knight
My brain is kinda split about this proof of concept. One side is telling me: “The metal contact rings don’t look like they’re being held in place with anything from above, and they’re sporting edges that are just as sharp/jagged as the edges of the Blades from the X line. Thus, I think it’s somewhat concerning as to how durable and/or usable these concepts would be in practice.” The other side is telling me: “It has interchangeable metal wheels again. 12/10. Would fork over all of my money to own these designs.”
I do think that they could add more gimmicks to the bey and bit and ratchet but I think when burst started adding all the different parts and stuff it got too complicatied

I think the TT stadium is the best still. Hasbro is going to be way more accessible, and it’s about probably 80% of the experience. You should definitely pickup the Soar Phoenix set and keel shark boosters
I think BBX will try to keep the customization, designs, and naming conventions as simple and straightforward as possible given they aren’t marketing solely to children now. I like the tracks being *number of points-mm height* it communicates what the part does. Same w the bits. Having a name like “final survive” (or whatever) vs “flat” or “point” feels more childish to me personally.
The real issue with X is Hasbro. Hasbro is not in the same place it was just 5 years ago. Record low sales year after year is taking its toll and Hasbro does not command the same amount of shelf space as it used to. In Target, Beyblade X has a tiny section at the end of the shelf. Some walmarts have a good selection, but most only have a few tiny columns dedicated to BBX. Not to mention, you genuinely cannot buy a winder launcher at any brick and mortar shop from Hasbro. I think it will be rough for BBX to have the same popularity outside of Japan as it is getting in Japan. Buying Beys and importing them from TT instead of buying in a store from Hasbro is not sustainable for the US market. Mall of Toys is already having huge issues keeping up with demand. People are STILL waiting to get their Leon Claws and Phoenix Rudders they pre-ordered.
True for the Hasbro side. Beyblade Burst started the same way though, very few hangers on the aisle. Regarding MOT, they got their shipments in either yesterday or the day before. So people should be getting their beys soon! Its going to take a bit longer from western sites as it takes longer to get in shipments from overseas.

I like that there’s less customization. Just want to hop in and start knocking people out and also less money spent. Only thing I don’t like is that it seems ux beyblade makes the bx beyblades look weaker because of how big they are. And they also removed the acrylic sticker cover
I'd say if Hasbro and TT want to bring new people in they should keep the 3 layer system right now. Making everything customizable drives everyone away because they think it's too complicated.

Welcome!! I agree. Burst got too complicated, especially from season 5 onwards. I'd rather X stay simple UNLESS they can really nail a system upgrade.

in my opinion i like how simple the beyblades are rn in its current state battles just seem more fun and enjoyable than your average wizard rod battles i know well see gimmicks and other fun mechanics be out into beys but im going to enjoy how it is right now

I think it'd be cool to have 2 variants of some of the key attack types focused on different height configurations. So for example a flipped shark edge so you can built low and uppercut or build high and punch down
One thing I hope TT *doesn't* do is "do a Burst" and power creep Beys year after year by introducing quad chips and god layers and ass-clappers and whatever else they can think of. If they truly want X to be competitive, they need to keep things relatively consistent throughout the line's lifespan. And I know people complain that the meta is pretty shallow for X right now, but I'm absolutely serious when I say Beys like Wizard Rod should *still* be in the meta at the end of X, only more Beys introduced will have also entered the meta, too. It's all about diversity of part selection, and you'll just never achieve that if they power-creep older Beys.
However, I'm also ready for them to spice up ratchets. By far the least interesting component of X's system. Gimme some ball bearings or some free-spinning, rubber-coated shenanigans. Just give us something. Make ratchets do stuff other than burst resistance, and that'll put a big dent in 9-60. Trust. Again, it's about diversity of part selection, and if you present people with more options for building their Beys, you're going to see many different combos as a result.

I just wish that in cx they keep a system like db/bu, where the metal is the contacts and the chip is a gimmick, they could do rebound, maybe a free spin chip so any blade you put on it is free spinning, thiz one is kinda crazy but maybe a chip with the gimmick of phoenix, so you could have any blade shoot like the phoenix armor or maybe something like blast genios (not sure jow to spell that) where it changes height, and im not sure how but they could do the helios volcano, my favorite burst gimmick.
Basicly making both the blade and the chip have something to bring to the table, adding the mix and match potential of cx, and avoiding boring same-y repeating pointless parts
I repeat that if we get blades that could be changed with other beys will be the biggest L ever! Imagine having Hellssword or Pheonixclaw, because the ONLY thing that will be different is the name and the performance will STAY THE SAME. In burst this was amazing because some chips were heavier while some have higher burst resistance and some were dual spin plus in DB they had a lot of gimmicks. Such stuff is not possible in X because of the system. The biggest problem is just remembering the names for no stupid reason!
I love all these designs and i can totally see tt following the molds for the different layers of the beys. One issue though. As an engineer, i don’t see any manufacturing, from the demo, how the metal section can latch into the plastic section of the layer.
The CX line of Beyblade X looks so fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥 even though they are not real .... yet 😁. I can't wait for them to come out. I can't believe Beyblade X is already a year old, time flies doesn't it 😊?
I really like the Dran Slash and Hells Furnace because Hells Furnace a nice Red and Black color combo and Dran Slash gives me Lost Longinus vibes also he should make a Strike Hawk variant called Smash Hawk or something also I love your videos please keep up the good work

Those beys looks insane! But I stick with TT numbering the rachet than giving its a name because kinda hard to come up new beys with new names if the names have been used for rachet too.
I am down for unique named ratchets if they keep the labelling system of X-XX, it's really handy comparing parts for purchase so you get a part you want if you're searching for it.
I don't agree with the ratchet thing ya said mate they should keep the number thing going and not just give em names like burst with their disc n such.

It's a great thought but it might make current Beys redundant so TT has to think before doing something unless they make it a part to totally new Series or Season like how they did in OG series switching from Engine Gear Beys to HMS Beys.

I actually don't want more customization in this way. I like how simple X is right now. Just 3 parts, ratchets from 1-60 up to 9-80, give us more bit types as the show goes on, and cooler artwork on the center art. I'd be completely happy.
I really hope there is a distinction between like side pieces and like actual evolutions so we would have Phoenix Wing Phoenix rudder and Phoenix EVO rebirth I really like that Evo name scheme that hasbro went with

I really hope we see more customization and color and gimmicks, but what really needs to be improved is the anime. If their going to continue making bird stronger, their Going to HAVE to get better writers, because 75% of the communy doesnt like the anime. But these designs look hella sick, i just hope going forward they can also allow people to create their own custom designs for money, maybe like around 300-1k.
I'm all in for new kind of customization but interchangeable metal ring ain't it. X is so fast and powerful rn, adding 1 more weakpoint, especially if its the metal ring, will ended up more dangerous than useful.
By year 2 of burst we were only onto dual layers. Just because x got an anime at launch doesn’t mean it’s really appropriate to compare it’s year 2 to burst’s year 3

X is just a year now. We have to be patient so we can get tip changing bits like Dranzer, two metal blades where it can change stats or tactics like Gravity Perseus, a ratchet and bit combined to become a base as whole like Ignition from Imperial Dragon and many more....

Imo the 3-piece system is perfect, just worrying about the blade, height, and bit makes BX a lot more friendly to newcomers and vets alike, the fan-made XX kinda feels more like a cosmetic design rather than a complete thing (imo its like catering to people who are just super picky about their bit beasts without a real performance boost -cough-energy ring-cough-

I think Beyblade X advantages are metal and simplicity. I wouldn’t mind keeping a three piece Bey system, with a push for supporting customization with things like polish, markers, paint, and custom stickers placements etc. It would be cool to buy a BX bey that is made for me to customization with third-party tools!
I honestly think swapping the metal parts doesn't add much except for customization sake I guess, the only thing that would make it useful is if the plastic part was special in some way, like if it had a burst stopper, which in my opinion I hope they don't do 'cuz it basically ruined the fun of Burst. Instead, I kinda want them to add an extra thin metal layer (maybe could be called the core) between the blade and the rachet that has metal prongs like the rachet extending in certain directions but hollow in the middle, or with a lot of metal in the middle but no or few prongs extending, so you could upgrade the OWD or IWD of your bey. Could also have some gimmicks, like maybe instead of short metal prongs it's long plastic prongs that prevent you from being able to make contact with the rachet and you have to push them in before you can burst the bey. Just little stuff like that.

One side is telling me:
“The metal contact rings don’t look like they’re being held in place with anything from above, and they’re sporting edges that are just as sharp/jagged as the edges of the Blades from the X line. Thus, I think it’s somewhat concerning as to how durable and/or usable these concepts would be in practice.”
The other side is telling me:
“It has interchangeable metal wheels again. 12/10. Would fork over all of my money to own these designs.”

I haven’t played Beyblade since the OG line 20+ years ago but have been watching a lot of Beyblade X content and want to get back into it. What should be the first Beys I get and should I get the TT Stadium or the Hasbro one?
I think the TT stadium is the best still. Hasbro is going to be way more accessible, and it’s about probably 80% of the experience. You should definitely pickup the Soar Phoenix set and keel shark boosters
I think BBX will try to keep the customization, designs, and naming conventions as simple and straightforward as possible given they aren’t marketing solely to children now. I like the tracks being *number of points-mm height* it communicates what the part does. Same w the bits. Having a name like “final survive” (or whatever) vs “flat” or “point” feels more childish to me personally.
The real issue with X is Hasbro.
Hasbro is not in the same place it was just 5 years ago. Record low sales year after year is taking its toll and Hasbro does not command the same amount of shelf space as it used to.
In Target, Beyblade X has a tiny section at the end of the shelf. Some walmarts have a good selection, but most only have a few tiny columns dedicated to BBX. Not to mention, you genuinely cannot buy a winder launcher at any brick and mortar shop from Hasbro. I think it will be rough for BBX to have the same popularity outside of Japan as it is getting in Japan.
Buying Beys and importing them from TT instead of buying in a store from Hasbro is not sustainable for the US market.
Mall of Toys is already having huge issues keeping up with demand. People are STILL waiting to get their Leon Claws and Phoenix Rudders they pre-ordered.
True for the Hasbro side. Beyblade Burst started the same way though, very few hangers on the aisle. Regarding MOT, they got their shipments in either yesterday or the day before. So people should be getting their beys soon! Its going to take a bit longer from western sites as it takes longer to get in shipments from overseas.

I'd say if Hasbro and TT want to bring new people in they should keep the 3 layer system right now. Making everything customizable drives everyone away because they think it's too complicated.
