In which I walk through how I edit my youtube videos - from syncing audio to the ~aesthetic~ effects I apply to lookbooks to color correction. I also answer some of my top asked questions about where I find copyright free background music that doesn't suck, what font I use for my titles, and how I make little animations. Though I do edit on Final Cut Pro X, hopefully a lot of these video effects/techniques are something you can also apply to iMovie or Premiere Pro!

*Youtubing is harder than you thougth, not only finding and putting no copyright music, text's, transitions, filming, lighting, audio, but also conceptualizing of what content you'll gonna upload, script, making thumnails, descriptions, titles, hashtags, publishing, and all strategies you gotta do to get your video in youtube recommendations algorithm. It takes to much time and some people even upload everyday, film for 5 hours and edit the rest of the day upload late night, most of them risk sleep but they love what they do and they don't let being tired stop them.*
don’t let the amount of work stunt your dream! it takes time to get things right, especially if it’s something your passionate about :)

GURL lol you can look up the artist/ song on TH-cam and check the description box to see if the song has been tagged to see if it will give you copyright. Just saves you time from having to make an entire process of a song and then having to upload it to check. Also, Epidemic sound and bandcamp are amazing places to get music too. oh! and using that chillhop radio station is great for chill music ~.~ the one with the girl and the cat on the window

Hitfilm Express is free and I think a little better than final cut. The free version has a LOT to offer and its decently similar to Premiere Pro

This is one of the best videos on how to edit your youtube videos - I already watched it about 5 times. Lots of creative ideas on how to make your videos more interesting!!! By the way, Epidemic sound has a huge library of songs. The subscription for youtube creators is fairly priced (120USD per year). I use their pop songs for my home workout videos and it has greatly improved the quality of my videos.

Ahhh yes $300 is a lot, but if you are super serious about editing, and making your videos pop, you will invest in it.
There are also other free editing programs (software what ever lol), that does just fine, until the $300 is affordable :). But don’t get too discouraged about prices.

@@sapphony6464 Davinci Resolve, Hitfilm *EXPRESS* (just Hitfilm has a cost) Shotcut, Panzoid (a website) are stuff for computer and some apps are kinemaster, powerdirect, and videoshop. If u have iphone, iMovie works too but the apps above other than the computer ones are for android.

You can get Final Cut X/Logic/MainStage/Motion/Compressor all as a bundle for $199. Google “Pro Apps bundle for Education” I think each of these are about $200 on their own!
This is great if your are looking to do some music/quality audio recording and video editing. I haven’t messed around with the other apps. But it’s a great deal!

Another alternative would be the very reasonable priced video editing software Filmora 9 ( I paid less than 100USD). Look for a coupon code when purchasing. It also comes with a lot of presets. I think my videos look a lot more professional since I used their animations, titles, split screens. I also have a more expensive software (vegas pro), which is also awesome, but since I am still a beginner I switch forth and back between the two. Filmora 9 is a lot easier to use, but my goal is to also get more skilled using more professional software like vegas pro.

I use iMovie and VLLO, VLLO is free but you can upgrade to ‘Pro’ (I guess you can call it that?) and you only pay $10 once, no monthly subscription, just $10 dollars and that’s it. Right now they got a 30% discount so basically you pay $7 for the upgraded version and that’s it😊 hope this was helpful😊
