The Big Moving Vlog™! Here's a little diary of the past month as I packed up my life in LA, sold my car, did my first ever ~meet and greet~, booked my flights, and said goodbye to my LA apartment. @@solcarlosofficial I think it's important to remember that she's made her life a lot more public than most people and we've all had the privlege of watching her grow and evolve. Most people are not comfortable sharing their anxiety or moments of sadness with the world and the paths they take to find themselves. I find her content refreshing because she is so open and honest.

honestly, a lot of lifestyle videos make me feel worse about myself, but ashley's videos are so well-edited and well-presented that it feels more like i'm watching a movie/sitcom/form of escapism than watching someone show off their perfect life and shove it in your face.

Came to rewatch this almost 7 months after her last post and unannounced hiatus and I'm crying
i love how she added clips of david in the "goodbye LA" montage because most people act like their exes never existed but ashley by adding david to this video i think acknowledged how he was a huge part of her life and it feels like she is at peace with what has been lived in the past which is v cool :) + i am the same age as ashley but i feel like she is so far ahead of me in terms of independence and this inspires me soooo so so so much! i am hoping to move to europe in like 10 months to do my masters degree and i know that if i live there alone i have the example that ashley sets; her channel is like a "how to survive and be an independent woman" guide :))

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our perception of ourselves, with all of our flaws magnified a thousand times, that we forget how differently others perceive us.
I was too, I hope that once she gets away from LA (I live here so I know the toxicity) and gets in an area with people that are more genuine and caring she will be able to be happy and love herself, and see the good in her.

Hey Ashley! I've watched this video in its entirety over 5 times now. Thank you for it! As someone who has a deep deep desire to move to NYC, but can't right now, it's helped me process some of my feelings and also allowed me to live vicariously on multiple occasions. You haven't posted in a minute obviously, but what you've already made is still making an impact!
I can relate to that feeling of thinking you’re a bad person. Something I’ve realised and what helps me is that fact that if you truly was a bad person you wouldn’t be getting worried about thinking you’re a bad person. 💜

Dear Ashley,
The first time I watched this video, I had just graduated from college and was 6 months into my first job in a new town in the UK. Recently, I've gotten an exciting new opportunity to work in a completely different continent and country. I found myself coming back to this video, and found it comforting to see someone else going through the same emotions and logistics (lmao love inventory and stress packing) as I am currently. I'm also in the position where I have to sell my first car, and my logical brain knows how absurd it is to be attached to a chunk of metal, but I can't stop crying it's absolutely insane lol. It's always rose tinted glasses when you look back, but is that a bad thing? Leaving the place that helped you learn so much about yourself is a ridiculously bittersweet feeling, but there's a new challenge, new life, and new experience ahead. Anyway, I wanted mainly to express how much this vlog comforted me, and made me feel like my *WRITHING PIT OF EMOTIONS* was valid and I'm not crazy for feeling so teary about this move. Just found you and am obsessed with it your content. So raw and honest. I am also super sad for this Ashley who is leaving LA because she feels alone to go NY where Quarantine and lockdown has been the worst in all of the United States. This Ashley (like the rest of us) was so hopeful and blissfully unaware.

I'm moving in a month again, and life is so crazy. I've moved to another country to a dorm, then my own little room, then sharing with boyfriend and now our own flat (in London everyone shares as rent is expensive so this is such a big deal). Watching her move made me so emotional. This is how I feel, especially as after the first move all other ones were without my family who I always had for every big event. Doing it all on your own, leaving your little space and being independent is just so crazy. You get attached to such stupid things and it's so heartwarming to watch this. I hope everyone reading takes the plunge and tries living somewhere far, even if it's for a year. It changes you in such a good way!
