I first went to Pai in 1993, It was just a small sleepy village back then, you could get ganja sticks for 100 baht. Like you I have been going back ever since and seen Pai grow into a must go thai destination. cheers thanks for the tour.
It’s clear that Pai has a special place in your heart. It’s genuinely such a beautiful thing to see you so thoughtfully reflective. Pai is now on my bucket list

Been there many times. I stopped using the mini buses years ago. The drivers all have a death wish and I'm prone to car sickness. Since a near death experience 10 years ago I take the safe way. I rent a large motorcycle in Chiang Mai ( 500 cc or bigger ). The Mai Hong Song loop is a ride everyone should experience.

Watching the man singing and playing the guitar at the end, my first thought was, "He kind of looks like a Thai Anthony Bourdain. And then it hit me - that is exactly the kind of place that Bourdain would have loved. Unpretentious. Good music. Soulful. I have put this on my list of places to visit when I move to Thailand in a few years. I hope this man is still playing there when I arrive.

You’ve been to more places in Thailand and have introduced so many wonderful & cool places in this country to someone like myself (who was born there but have no clue as to where to go) and I must say that Pai is now on my #1 place to check out first before the other places you’ve introduced me to on your videos! I love Pai....meditation in the mornings...great coffee...great food stalls on the walking street.. fabulous live music....visits with friends....and my own tiny hut over the river...hopefully it will all come back...and I can return.

Thanks for the memories. Me and my Thai Wife were in Pai in 2018. Had a great time. I did not know there was a Chinese village. I discovered it one morning while I was out along driving a scooter. Funny, I was just telling a friend about the twisting road you have to navigate to get to Pai yesterday during breakfast and today you have a Pai Video. That grilled cheese shop looks Great.

Oh man going on the drive through Pai really tugged at my heartstrings. Remembering walking through there and seeing places oh so familiar closed. Feel super heavy when I think about it too much. Look forward to the world being more open. It's easy to forget that the world is on hold when it feels like just yourself is.

Went for a dinner at the restaurant you are staying in. Very nice music and atmosphere there. Ordered some Thai food and a hamburger dish. Hamburger was fine but not Thai food. It was similar situation in Pai while I was there, however, I actually quite like it. Have fun in your trip around Thailand and thank you for sharing

Been coming to Pai for 19 years Seen loads of changes . I now am retired here Sorry I missed you . Pai still holds its beauty . We live 5km outside of Pai which makes it perfect to come into town when you want but live in a quiet space . It’s been a magical place I now call home
