I tested gt plus, an r/t and Grand Cherokee L. I liked this one the best so I bought one. Love driving it, plenty of power and is very comfortable. I traded my Ram bighorn and actually got more than I paid 3.5 years ago. Used market is insane. I agree with what Ben said. No regrets 😊

@@PlatinumHustle I’ve had mine 15 months. Zero problems. It’s a nice comfortable long distance cruiser. Plenty of power with decent gas mileage. 26 mpg at 70. 17 around town. Never used third row seats but I need extra room for a wheelchair. No regrets.

I always wonder why people downplay Dodge as a cheap brand and then go on to compare it to a Mercedes, especially considering the Durango is based on the W-166 ML Class, using the suspension and so many Mercedes finishes.

Just got my blacktop white GT and love it. Contemplated on the RT but for city driving that RT would have been twice as much per year in gas, so I went with the GT and love it. The ride is SUPER plush. Test drove the Explorer (GARBAGE INTERIOR) and the Toyota Highlander and just liked the Durango better.

No unfortunately any cars right now are not worth the money spent. If you are in market trying to buy a car right now you might wanna think about it until the nation goes red! But awesome review as always been. I love your content. I wouldn’t pay anymore then 38k max for that. So it’s over priced.

The increased inflation right now is due to the pandemic and forecast by every professional if we stayed in pandemic mode for more than a year. I shudder to think of what the economy would look like if Republicans were in control. The party that always put the money over people, and the same one that added 8 trillion dollars to the deficit in one term. A record. But don't confuse trumpers with facts....

Great video Ben. Was wondering if the new 2022 Durangos are having any issues at all. I currently have a 2021 Denali 1/2 ton with the 3.0 duramax in it. I love it except the long crank, and no start issue. The LM2 engine has been out since 2019 and GM has yet to do anything about it. When people who owns these 1/2 ton duramax warranty runs out, there will be a lawsuit waiting to happen bc GM doesn’t want to lose the money to fix all of them. It’s GM fault for sending out bad and in complete vehicles, no the consumers fault bc we didn’t send out and sell faulty vehicles.

Last year, we went on vacation, and rented a Durango GT AWD with the 5.7 Hemi. It had only 2,000 miles when we had it.
I was pretty impressed, overall. I was really looking forward to the Hemi's power. But it was just "ok". It wasn't pin-you-in-your-seat impressive. Obviously that V8 roar, when you stab it, was awesome, but I was expecting more.
The interior was quite nice on the dash, doors, steering wheel and what not. But the flaw that made me hate the interior, was the seats. By the looks of it,, the GT Plus in this review had the identical seats we had in our GT.
Oh, the seats were comfortable enough for long drives, but despite it's appearance, those side bolsters are NON-EXISTENT when seated! They provide ZERO lateral support, when going around turns, and I often found myself sitting directly ON the bolsters and not even knowing it! Thise seats felt like you were sitting on a bench seat, not buckets. Horrible.
The one element of the interior I was impressed with was the LARGE infotainment screen! It was huge and crystal clear! The only downside is ours didn't come with navigation, so the screen was largely wasted on radio preset buttons, radio station names and audio track info.
The Really tacky thing is, I did some digging, and apparently the navigation software is loaded on the vehicle, but Dodge makes it so it can be disabled by rental places, so they can charge you more if you want navigation, or just make it unavailable to you, if you didn't order it on your reservation. The literal definition of "nickel-and-diming" customers to death. What douchebags.
I'd have to drive this V6 back to back with the Hemi to know for sure, but my guess is, unless you just have to have that V8, the V6 would be impressive enough, and give you those fuel-saving miles per gallon.
Besides, we all know they detune the entry level V8 horribly, to make the 392 and Hellcat versions all the more impressive.
But who can afford a $80,000 - $90,000 Durango? Seems like wasted money.

The 10" screen is much better than the old 7" or 8.4". If the Durango wants to level up, it needs a panoramic roof!

The technology is so bad but man they look nice

    • @myoutuber77
      @myoutuber77 ปีที่แล้ว +2

What part of the tech is bad? Much of it exceeds what the Germans have on offer. The only bad part is that you have to pay extra for most of the goodies. Still price comes up cheaper than many other brands comparably equipped. I have a loaded '21 GT and love it. I had three gripes about the car all of which I new existed before purchase. (1) Interior lighting is all weak incandescent bulbs. Remedied by replacing all bulbs with very strong white LEDS on the 2nd day of ownership. The upgrade makes for a dramatic improvement. (2) The interior lighting does not automatically come on at night when you shut off the engine. Understandably, this is a sports car more than it is a family minivan. I actually have plans to fix that myself since I am an electronics engineer. (3) The power liftgate does not come with a memory function, so I open the gate manually in my garage if I need to.

I just purchased a 2021 Durango GT plus all-wheel-drive on November 30 of 2023. I have had it for two weeks now and love it. I don’t understand your question about the lack of technology in this vehicle. The inside feels like a cockpit of an airplane. It has everything at my fingertips. Runs great. Drives great plenty of pick up. If I could find one negative thing to say about this truck I would have to say the gas mileage isn’t that great. But then again, I did get rid of a 2013 Dodge Charger. So it’s kinda hard to compare the 3.6 in the Charger to the 3.6 the Durango based on the extra weight!
My last Durango was a 2000, and boy have they come a long way!!
