I have a 2021 TTRS ecu, transmission tune with a CTS intake. Traded my 2022 TTS in for this vehicle. This is the fastest car I’ve ever been in, driven. Probably putting out north on 450 hp. The car is fast enough to get me in trouble rather quickly.

If you’re after a daily they aren’t the best but the RS3 has the exact same driveline as these things and more streetable
RS 3 probably more practical, more of a family car. The TTRS is impractical just a toy. I love my TTRS!
@@grantbradley5084 My brother has a TTRS I have the RS3, both great cars but for something to drive regularly the RS3 is a bit better cause the TTRS can be quite stiff on the road but the RS3 can be adjusted

This really should be a few tenths quicker once dialled in. We have stock turbo RS3's doing 10 flats were I live.

The car is awesome but I especially liked the hearing of hearing protection in the dyno. So many car channels don't wear them and you're just going to end up deaf.
going deaf sucks, even with hearing protection in my younger years I still managed to lose it
Yeah man, I have hearing aids now at 37 due to hearing loss and tinnitus. As an occupational hygenist they do help me show to the younger guys how much it sucks to lose your hearing though.
4:09 that sounds like a bad crosstalk, check intake pressure (maybe too much or too low, low is fine ish)

Except I doubt the fat rwd Barra can run 9s on the street with street tyres, then there's cornering, the barra is a drag strip queen and not known to be good elsewhere or any other form of Motorsport
Crazy that a Honda from the early 2000s with a motor with stock internals, an ebay turbo and a flashed ecu is just as fast as this car. Gotta love them k24s.
@@MrZimmaframe The rs3 (same engine as this) with bolt ons, stock turbo and stock internals has done a 9.7 at 141 MPH in the 1/4. The ttrs is fair bit lighter and has done mid 9's on stock turbo

What is missing in the newer TT RS is a AWD system like the one on the A45S a permanent AWD system rear biased with drift mode. That for sure would make it a real sports car. Audi would sell much more of them i have no doubt.
The brand new rs3 has a drift mode and power diff switching. Guess you didn't know that tho.. research..
@@marcmann982 Yes i knew but from the videos i saw previously the drift mode on the new RS3 doesn't work has good has in the a45S. In the RS3 the car its constantly bumping while drifting from what i observed thats the effect provoqued by the outside rear wheel trying to brake traction while in the a45S the drift is smooth like in a rear wheel drive car, the way they are doing it is the same but in the Audi isn't has well executed. Anyway we were talking about the TT RS and that still has its convencional Haldex system which is mostly a FWD and sometimes sends power to the rear when its needed. The TT RS its not capable of drifting what it does is step the rear outside while braking which is dangerous and unsophisticated its totally diferent from powersliding which is way more fun, the sensation is diferent one feels safer and natural while the other feels like the car is out of balance because thats how they made the setup of the car to seem like it can drift when actually it cant and also so it wouldn't understeer has much.
The TT RS is supposed to be a sports car while the RS3 is a hot hatch, lets call it a mega hatch because thats what most people call it, they are different categories one is a 5 door 5 seater car the other is a 2+2 Coupe the client who prefers the style of the TT RS will be very disappointed when he knows the TT RS is a much worse driving experience than the RS3.

Great video - minus the ‘we have done a little bit of development on this car’ which is 110% true. UGP have done ‘very little development on this car’ yet seem to be taking ALL the credit. Why not credit the worship that did ALL THE DEVELOPMENT on the car?

If you'd watched the video Alex clearly said they didn't do all the work.
The other workshop built the engine, was credited with doing a great job, but the turbo they used blew up, so their "development" wasn't successful. UGP added the current turbo and developed it from there. So take your kindergarten logic and develop it a lot more.

Best to compare to a car that has done similar mph.
Has to be conservative because most built cars with similar mods are in the 7-800 awhp range. 6766 is also a weird turbo for these cars. The iroz zona rotor or a tte 777 have been more proven on the platform and make gobs or power with minimal lag

You can net 450wkw without opening the engine on e85 & capping the torque with normal bolt ons & injectors ($20k aud). Anything more; built bottom end, clutch, flywheel, mounts, fuel system, CBE = add another $30-40k like this car.

Why the KN air filter is not isolated and contained with the air tube down low to get as much cold air as possible the IAT's with the bonnet closed will be so hot its not funny?
The intercooler cools the intake charge not the airbox.
